  1. Kotfe came around the same time Disney bought Star Wars and killed off the old Expanded Universe upon which SWTOR is based. I'm pretty sure whatever the continued story might have been before the buyout has been permanently shelved and they decided that they had carte blanche with the game since it has no true canon to comply with anymore.
  2. Don't know how OPs or Ranked PVP work, never done either, but I kinda wonder about teams of crafters getting together and doing these things as a group. Maybe set up some crafting-specific guilds to make sure everybody gets an opportunity to craft what they need for their toons. It's a social game after all.
  3. Any news on this front? I know cut-scene bugs are at the very bottom of the list of priorities, but it would be great if we got a fix for this eventually.
  4. They should have used droid names from the KotOR games and comics instead. T3-M4, HK-47, G0-T0, T1-LB, and B-4D4 would have worked just fine.
  5. Windows 10 really doesn't play well with older AMD/ATI graphics cards. At this point, I might suggest an upgrade as the HD 4800 is nearly ten years old now. PC hardware, especially gaming related hardware, tends to require replacement every 3 to 5 years from either wear and tear or simply becoming obsolete. What are your pc's specs (processor, memory, etc), if I may ask?
  6. November 4, 2009. 8 years, where did the time go?
  7. Me too. I'd like to see anything that has the word "eternal" in its name just go away and have the story revert to Empire vs Republic and bring back class-specific storylines, or at the very least faction-specific storylines.
  8. Sent a ticket and a bug report just for good measure.
  9. Has there been any official response to the armor switching bug?
  10. Oh man, mystery solved. That's it. I have her in the level 25 Fiber Mesh medium armor set. Just looked it up, it's red and smuggler-looking on the Rep side and black and agent-looking on the Imp side. Must be a new bug since I last played, I don't remember this ever happening before. Of course, companion armor in cutscenes has always been an issue with this game. Unify colors hasn't worked for years, I guess it's just more trouble than its worth for the devs to fix it.
  11. So, I've been putting off bringing my smuggler characters into the Kotfe-Kotet story due to the fact that Risha has been a no-show so far. I just had a ship board conversation with her on one of my older toons that I'm leveling, she wasn't wearing the armor I put on her. It looked like she was wearing a unique, vaguely agent-like armor set that I haven't seen before. I didn't think to get a screenshot of it, but could this be her post Kotet armor? Could she actually be returning soon? Has anyone else seen this bug with Risha?
  12. SWTOR for me = 1% actually playing the game; 99% trying to find decent looking outfits for my toons and their companions so they don't look like clowns during the cutscenes.
  13. Well, yes, it's an old wound, but it still hasn't healed. 4.0 did alter the way the game is played by everyone in a number of ways. Hopefully with a few more patches to get the kinks/bugs worked out, fewer people will be angry about the changes. I'm not holding my breath, this is SWTOR we're talking about here, but a fella can hope...
  14. Actually, that was just a bump. Wanted to get people talking. They're not getting screwed per se, but "preferred" is a bit of a misnomer. The only players anybody cares about are the subscribers. Preferred players can't even report bugs, for crying out loud. I can understand f2p, but preferred? People who have actually spent money on the game? That's dumb.
  15. You did notice that the OP was talking about how things have been removed from the game, yes? I'm pretty sure that doesn't qualify as "more crap". I play as preferred most of the time and it appears that with 4.0, "preferred" players are getting screwed. They may not be shucking out $15 a month, but they are paying customers and they do deserve something for their trouble.
  16. This bug has gone on long enough. It must be fixed. I don't care how low it is on the priority list, it can't be that difficult. They've fixed similar issues in the past, but this remains. I'm sick of it.
  17. I could see a Revan game set after the events of TOR. Off on another adventure with a new ship and a new crew. Of course, if the game was an RPG, you couldn't really play as Revan. They like to let people choose their own characters for these things. But it could still be a Revan game, he could be the mentor character guiding you along the way.
  18. They could always make it so that ships don't take damage if they hit something. They can already fly right through each other, why couldn't they just bounce off of things like asteroids and satellites... Just saying. You run into something, you spin out of control for a few seconds, then recover and keep on flying. Or, get blown to bits by the guy still chasing you...
  19. I was on a team that did that once. Won by just one point. One of those matches you can tell your grandchildren about.
  20. Won't know until you try. If all they do is allow joystick/gamepad binding then maybe it won't be so great. But if they add a separate setting, ie. cockpit view, then I'm sure it would be an excellent option.
  21. It's painfully obvious to anyone who plays GSF that some people are very good at "point and click" flying. If the game had support for joysticks, it would even out the playing field. It would allow people who may not be good with point and click to go toe to toe with people who are, making the battles more challenging for the people who are just breezing through it. I see only good things for all concerned. Having options available to control your ship the way you feel comfortable would make GSF a very much more worthwhile way to pass the time.
  22. I always liked how Ordo's Mandalorians were protrayed in KotOR 2 on Dxun. I haven't played the game in a while, but I remember that they were very concerned with honor. Honorable victory or honorable defeat, no middle ground. It made for a sort of Klingon-Bushido conglomeration that I found interesting.
  23. UI from Freelancer + Galactic Starfighter = instant better game.
  24. Republic 1000 Empire 999 Now that was an epic match. Almost the whole time the Empire team had the upper hand, but we brought it back at the last second and won by just one point.
