  1. I'm not going to put him on the list but, Anakin Solo had the potential to be top 10. Jacen Solo and Anakin sparred all the time because they had at an early point in the Vong War a different view of the force. Jacen also noted in the books that Anakin was closing the gap in skill to the point where they were equals with the blade. This was just the first book too. Later Anakin Solo was the one who learned to sense the Vong within the force. He also was the one who developed the Force battle Meld that the jedi use in space fights in their stealth X fighters. I would say that just like his Namesake he had so much potential. Anakin Solo would've done much had he lived, but it wasn't the will of the force for him to do so. Also I personally believe that Darth Caedas is 3rd. He was one of the only force users that Luke knew that could defeat him whether Caedas killed Luke physically. Or Luke thought if he were to fight him they were so evenly matched that he would've ended up falling to the darkside to defeat him due to his anger over Mara Jade. This is why he had Jaina kill him. Though how he funneled energy into her and at the same time projected a Force illusion no one can doubt Lukes the best. Though I've read all the books After Thrawn besides Rogue squadran series. Luke did look to Jacen a lot when they were both younger and Jacen wasn't so jaded. They developed a bunch of force techniques.
  2. Guys you're both right in a sense... 1/2 are talking about the Living force and the other 1/2 are talking Unifying Force. All they are, are different views and ways to approach the Force. Reason of why things everyone has said can be put down to Living or Unifying force by anything anyone has said on this thread. The Someone before me gave you the actual quotes about both of them so I won't. But and easy and over simplified way to explain is Living Force is day to day use. Most likely effect them acutely. Unifying Force isn't like that. I think of Unifying force and Living Force as you guys and myself are debating Light/Dark, it's the different sides of the same coin. they are both the right. But maybe not right for a particular answer. First, if I would've thought this discussion would develop into what it has I would like the OP said, "What stronger the Light or Dark side of the Living Force?" that would've stopped the 2nd debate from happening maybe.
  3. People who use that argument should leave this post alone. You're playing a game that if we go by what George Lucas was doing at the time of all these quotes, wouldn't be here. Not to meantion the simple fact that by allowing the Expanded Universe to sustain Star Wars for the last 20 years alone and make him billions of $$$$ he's saying that what the writers write is true. When he disagrees he makes it known like when the writers were going to kill Han Solo and he spoke up and said that they could never kill off a original char without his direct approval. So, since Chewie was becoming a glorified baby sitter, and they needed room to build the family dynamic with the Solo family he died instead with approval from the boss. Also you can say Obi Wan said this, or that, but can't make that an end all because, Obi Wan also said that the nature of belief was from a point of view. that being said, from a point of view all these belief systems in the force are true.
  4. When you think of the Force you think of the Living Force and Unifying Force. You think of Light and Dark. This Galaxy has a lot of Light/Dark Force Nexuses. To us the energy isn't good or bad but to a Jedi to stand in a Dark Nexus he feels sick. So you might say to a Jedi a dark nexus IS bad.
  5. Wrong. Revan was able to tap into both the Light and the Dark side at the same time. The first force users used Ashla and Bogan (Light and Dark) energy inside themselves to do great astounding feats with the force. There is a book out that goes over this stuff. A character in it uses her abilities and is you can tell obviously has great power at her disposal does not stand outside of the pack. It seems all of them could do certain feats. Think of the Light/Dark sides as a Meter that goes left as you use lightside abilities then back to the middle when you're done, and the same happens when you use the darkside. Though these Tython Rangers could use both powers at the same time.. There is not always a need to. I'll give a for instance. in the Book Revan he remembers who he used to be (Darth Revan) and all the ability he gave up when going back to the Light Side. He knew after his attack on the Emperor he'd never get out alive and prepared for it I think. He used both Light and dark energy to attack the emperor because it was a situation that he knew even if he brought ALL his powers to bare he wouldn't live. In the book about early Tython showed us a result of what happened to a Force User of their Rangers used Dark too much or Light too much it brought the metaphorical meter I was using above out of balance. When they were out of balance they would usually have to stay in meditation until they'd fixed the issue. So Revan in the end did achieve something. While Luke is without a doubt the most powerful force user to walk their galaxy. He was also in a different stage and lifecycle than previous generations. The New Jedi Order did not have the Ones keeping the force in balance anymore so by the time Luke became the Grand Master there was no turning back to ever be like previous generations of Force Users. Quick Pro Quo The Ones were great (Immortal? almost.) Force Users who kept the Force in balance. Anakin Skywalker was originally supposed to replace the guardian of The Ones who was dying. When he got there it was during the clone wars. And the Dark One decided he wanted to have the same power of the guardian killed the Light One his sister. Anakin then had to kill the Dark one to prevent darkness from being released to the galaxy. Therefore fulfilling his job as the guardian. I only wish I could've seen what Anakin Skywalker would've achieved had he never lost his arms and legs, thereby reducing his midiclorian count by 1/2 lol and still no jedi could challenge him physically until Luke came along. Anakin was supposed to become the Guardian of the Force by keeping it in balance! Think about it guys. He would've dwarfed any known User and brought him to shreds if needed, had he been able to stay out of the suit. This all happened due to the Ones being dead. There by solidifying The Jedi and Sith to stay at war forever because the new Jedi order and sith were the new guardians.. Alas, youngling that's another story and theoretical hypothesis to come in the future. My answer for the OP is the same as a few others. Luke Skywalker most powerful (Light) Darth Caedas didn't rise to his full power because he died early. But Jacen Solo was really Luke's only Challenge besides Abeloth and she was immortal. (Dark) Different side of the Same coin as one above put it. Light Side would also suggest more staying power. The Dark side would suggest easier bursts of force energy. ultimately burning out that particular body. To give an easy example Darth Sidious was jacked up because of premature body burn out because of all the Dark Side Lightning that went through his body fighting Mace Windu.
  6. I think that a jedi/sith Sage should have melee abilities that should heal for small amounts while doing damage. I also think that for Jedi/Sith Knight/Warrior would benefit a bit if they had another ranged ability that involves the force. Sith Warriors should be able to throw Sith lightning at very high levels. Sith Inquisitors should be able to force choke at very high levels. the Same should be said for the jedi counterparts. with project and stasis field it doesn't have to be exactly like this but, this all lightsaber or all force method could be a lot better if we felt like an actual jedi/sith instead of either a Blade master or a jedi who doesn't know anything about lightsabers except 2 melee attacks. I agree that this would have to be implemented carefully and for all classes to have certain changes. It would make avid fans of this Universe incredibly happy to see something like this happen in the future.
  7. I've argued for this for a long time without any change. Jedi/Sith should be able to wield any kind of LS they would just have to earn the skill to use it. Like back in the day in wow we had to use a certain weapon enough to gain the skill to use it. that would make it so people couldn't flip back and forth too easily. you could make certain restrictions.. for instance I don't think that a Jedi Sage should Dual Wield that just doesn't make any sense. But the other concerns of these requests are very valid. You could easily put talents into certain trees to make it possible for the use of different LS's/blasters. like in a Jedi shadow for instance or Jedi Sentinel you could give us a talent that boosts our dmg from a single LS instead of Dual wield or a Double bladed. I understand that double bladed LS's do slightly more dmg but that could be hot fixed I imagine or put into a patch.
  8. I agree with this. All it takes for a free to play person to get everything we pay for is to play long enough to get credits and buy cartel off the market or just pay for special items that they need atm and wait for the others when the time comes. Yet even us Subs use the cartel market and we don't even have any advantage as to what we can get on the Cartel market. I think that Subs should have a more specialized selection. instead of just having packs for everyone, why don't you let us Subs use our cartel coins to buy particular items from the market. How many people have spend tons of their hard earned real money for something they'll likely never get from these packs. Yet, we pay every month and all of us that are Subs pretty much have supported this game from launch. Give us a little credit and, give F2P people a reason to Sub each month if they want the things mentioned above. I'm not just talking about the things mentioned above in my article but, think of all the things we the subscribers have mentioned in all of this thread. F2P should not take complete priority over us subs because then what is the point of us subscribing to begin with?
  9. Why not add items like awesome looking weapons that people can buy without the packs. The packs are somewhat disappointing. I've spent Almost $100 getting the Blockade packs trying for Revan's mask. Then selling what I can to make credits. I've yet to even see a rare mount drop either. Mostly you get the same items over and over. You should allow individual items to be purchased at a different rate like Weapons like I suggested above.
  10. I think that a Curved lightsaber Hilt like Darth Bane is something I've heard a lot of people talk about, wishing the republic could get them.. You can get them as a Sith Inquisitor easily but you can't at least from what I've found out get them for Jedi Knights and Sith Warriors. Also I think there should be more than just one style of a curved hilt. I agree that those are rare. But not so rare as the Lightsaber hilts that have a Rancor tooth at the end of them. Only in the EU have I ever heard of a Rancor tooth hilt that Tenal Ka had in the New Jedi Order. So please give us 2 or 3 styles of curved Hilts Available for all Lightsaber wielding classes. Whether it's a Cartel market thing or not. But I can guarantee that people would jump over backwards to get one. I'd like a curved hilt as much as I'd like a Revan mask which are hard to come by.
  11. Thanks for you help.. I'm looking for the curved LS that has a major curve at the bottom of the hilt. Darth Bane is my Favorive Sith. So that's the reason i really want one.
  12. Cool thanks. But this website here shows that it isn't the curved hilt. This website could be wrong for all I know but it's been right so far. Check it out. http://www.swtorstrategies.com/2012/02/swtor-lightsabers-and-icons-with-matching-hilt.html And this website shows all the Lightsaber Hilts (single bladed) with better PICS to see what they look like exactly. FYI there's a big pic of all the Hilts at the top but, below that there is a smaller pic so you can see them all at once. All you need to do is scroll down. http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/1080371-Lightsaber-hilt-models
  13. I'm looking for a Curved Lightsaber Hilt Drop/Reward. I've heard that there are some that drop for the Tatooine Bonus Series but, nothing to confirm that statement made by someone in the general forums. I did a Search on Google and came up pretty much empty. If anyone knows where a Jedi Knight can get a Curved Hilt, it'd be very appreciated. Thanks, Aarcher
  14. Obviously, I'd like another Ranged ability. Maybe some other uses of the Force rather than just force push and choke. While I know we won't ever get any force abilities like you have in The Force Unleashed games, one can dream. LOL On a serious note, I'd really like to have one more range offensive ability. I also think that they should enhance how high our characters can jump. Force users have the force to augement their jumps and other classes have jettpacks and stuff similar.
  15. Moral choices, that's what this game is about. You play the game but, it's the choices that we have that decide our fates that make us all love this game. We need more of that. Let me give an example of the most epic fall to the Darkside and that's Anakin skywalker. He wasn't an evil man at his core. His original reasons for opening up himself to the darkside was originally to save padme. But, good intentions are not always good choices. We should be able to not just be a Dark Jedi or Light(the same with the Sith). But we need crucial moments in the game that could bring our character to a precipise. We make a decision that could potentially give us a huge shove in our alignment. I'm not simply proposing that you give us a mission that gives us a chance to get 5000 DS/LS points but, I think that the DS/LS points should flux almost like a roll while we're in group dialogue. The reason I suggest this is because it would cost too much money and maybe not be possible for the game to follow our decisions and detect a pattern of whats important to our individual characters. Would it not be a crazy shift if we were leveling up as a Jedi and we fell to the darkside so far that we actually started following the Sith code. To me if that were to happen your Jedi colleges would notice this. They wouldn't be too inclined to be very social with you. I realize these are semi random thoughts with not very many solutions but, I figure that you guys will make what you will of my ideas. I've read in the suggestion box that flashpoints and ops could add to our characters personal storyline. I think that is golden. I've also thought that as Jedi/Sith we need to have a closer or more in depth interaction with our Apprentices/padawans. That is at the very core of both orders. I also think that There should be a Bounty board where you could place bounties on other characters. Even NPC's could place bounties on you. I remember in SWG that I always had a bounty on my head so when I was questing I always had to watch my back. if you want realism that I think things of that sort are the key to it. For those people who aren't into that thing maybe you could keep those sort of things only on RP, PVP, and RpPVP Servers. Don't be to critical on me guys I wrote this freehand. It's how my ideas flow the best. May the force be with you Aarcher Darkrunner
