  1. I think this is the right thread. Just wanted to throw out an update. My smuggler still can't use the butler customization. I get a message that I lack the proper class to use the customization? Um...I used it BEFORE the KOTFE update.
  2. I want to start by saying that I have not followed the discussion cloestly, so those who like to beat on people for saying something that's already been said, have at it. What I have read about companion amd SGR's in general, it seems BW says it will be too much trouble to go back and change voice overs, etc, etc. Moral, personal, ethical opnions aside, I have read the ideas about a toggle to turn SGR's on or off I think that would be the best solution. I do not think that BW would have to go back and re-do voice overs for companions and NPC's. It would be a matter of a toggle. What little I know of computer programming, the basics are "if <a> then <b>". I have read comments in other forums about certain companions flirting with female characters, usually to the point of being annoying.. Male characters can flirt with certain female companions and NPCs, in my experience. But I have not had the aforementioned male companion flirt with my male character. I am admit that I might be over simplifying things, and combing through billions of lines of computer code to change "If <a> then <b>" to "or if <a> then <a>" or "If <b> then <b>" would be a Heculean task. However, I think that BW does not have to change the dialogue or options, just remove the gender restrictions. Granted, that may be quite a task in itself. Maybe create a toggle, like the profanity filter, as was mentioned earlier. If you do not want, or want your children, to experience other players profanity, turn the filter on. If you do not want to experience SGRs, turn the filter on. Good, bad, or indifferent, everyone has a preference and everyone should have the option to enjoy life, and ToR as they wish.
  3. It's probably been posted many times before and it's been so long that I can't remember what planet or who says the line, some old guy at his "fishing hole". You have to recover his explosives and as you're leaving he says "If you blow yourself up, feel free to come back and tell me all about it.....everyone else has!"
  4. Thanks for your advice. No, there's no icon indicating she wants to talk. Usually when she says that though, means she wants to talk. Maybe she's just stuck in a loop for me. I click on her at random times, and I have come to laugh at some of her comments. But all day, all she has said "We'll talk later ok?" Though I could be confusing her with some of Kaliyo's quips. It ain't easy playing multiple toons.
  5. Thank yinz much for your help. I had a feeling I was missing something simple to solve my shooting problem. Key was finding the right ability to put in the first slot. Or, you know, pay attention to which ability is there in the first place. Until this little problem, I thought right click was the "shoot" button and I've been left clicking or using the number keys for my abilities. When I started right clicking the ability in the first slot, I thought I found some secret key combination to hark my commands all to blazes. The companion thing is annoying. I'm tired of hearing Mako say "We'll talk later."
  6. Oh and why won't my companion talk to me now? First the important question, and the details. Today I was trying to customize my toolbar with abilities I use most often and accidentally put 3 of the same ability on keys 1-3. Now when I try to attack an enemy, right clicking only sets off the ability I have in the 1 slot. What happened? Up till then, when I would right click, I would just plain shoot. Now it kicks off an ability and my only options for attack are abilities. More importantly, how do I get back to just shooting with a right click? I tried clearing my 1 toolbar slot, but now I get in range, right click and just stand there. Now my companion problems. I was in the middle of a quest war zone when I noticed my companion wanted to talk in private. I didn't want to go all the way back to a cantina or my ship to talk to her and then have to fight my way back to where I was, so I ignored it for the time. When I finished the mission and got her back to the ship, she didn't want to talk. Did I miss part of her story?
