We are talking about a Sith Lord. Besides, he was a little preoccupied. And a bit of a jerk. It's more a matter of internal consistency in your story than divergent game play. I wouldn't recommend anyone going out of your way to meet the criteria as it's currently implemented unless that's important to you. Thanks for checking it out regardless, it shows the checks are working, just not ideal for the quest flow since it encourages doing both quests in one go. I'll look into this. There are alternate lines that should be available if you've I suspect that it may be checking to see if you've completed the quest to give you those lines, but if you haven't turned the quest in those checks would fail.

That should be fixed pending the 1.2 update, so Skadge should be back to spewing his usual colorful vitriol soon.

Aenene, if it makes you feel better that is definitely a bug. I'll report it for you and see if we can reproduce what happened and fix it. If you have the time, please submit your own bug report with as many details as you can remember through the game client. It will help immensely in isolating where the break happened. Thanks!

I have good news for you. You don't need to reroll your character to romance Mako; you're on the right track. The circumstance you were told about doesn't happen based on having certain levels of affection with one companion or another. It only happens if you are not yet in a romance and even then, you have the ultimate choice over encouraging the situation or saying "no, mine!" Hope that takes a load off your mind.
