  1. I agree and have always thought this. I started MMO'ing with UO. The sense of community on that game just gets me misty eyed now. I dont think we will ever get back to that. The trouble is the players are so spoiled these days and they dont even know it, thats the sad thing. They want everything instant or they threat they will cancel their subscription. I remember when they added the LFG tool to WoW. Yes it did help finding a group, but with it lost all communication with the players as nobody bothered. I mean you didn't even have to meet up and find the instance anymore. Everyone cried out these days that they want this NOW and FIX THIS! but when i look back at UO, other than being a fantastic sandbox mmo it was pretty rubbish in terms of content and updates! what made is so special was the players and the sense of community it gave, and only we can do that, not Bioware.
  2. See I don't think I can skip a planet. We have waited for this game a long time and we will probably only 1 character together each. So we want to do all the planets on these characters. Looks like over levelled it is...
  3. Hey guys, I'm absolutely loving the game. Can't get enough of it. Although I have one small problem with it and was wondering if any of you felt the same. Me and my friend are currently playing through on our mains together. We are the types of players that likes to explore the maps of every planet. Collect and finish every mission In the order of planet level. I first thought that the game had been designed to do this. Completing all missions on each planet and moving through them in order. However it seems that is not the case at all. We are currently on balmorra (our first proper planet after kaas) and we have not even finished up here and we are almost level 23. Next we go Nar shadaar which is 20-24. By the time we get there it will be obsolete. However that won't stop us from finishing it all because that's the way we play. The problem it creates is if played this way, the game is way too easy. Missions are always green or grey and I'm sure in time they will all be grey. Just to note. have played maybe total of 3 pvp games ever. 1 space battle and only the black talon once. I would love it if the xp gains toned down some or if there was an option to freeze xp so players like us could at least play this way and have a bit of a challenge. Anyone else have the same problem? By the way. Other than this. I just bloody love this game.
  4. I could let him pay on my card. Would he able to use his name and address and my card details even though my card is being used for my account? When his card comes. He could change the details to that before the first payment?
  5. I'm waiting for my friend to join. He has the game but has lost his bank card. They have shut that card down and a new one is on its way. Being this close to Xmas it could take a while to arrive. So he can't start playing because the card information required. Does anyone know if pay cards for the game are available in shops? If so, can you use them without setting up bank account details?
  6. ...is all i hear on the forums. People moaning that the game is too linear and that there is no 'core content. Once stripped down from all the cut scenes and traveling, it takes no time to get from 0-50. Give us Kotor 3! I ask all you people this. How is Kotor any different? Kotor gets all this praise and Swtor get slated. Why? If kotor was stripped of all its dialogue scenes and traveling around areas, would it be a long game? NO. As for all the complainers saying that once they have got a character to 50, They are going to skip all the scenes with there next characters. Is this how you play Kotor too after your first time? or any other campaign for that matter? Because i dont. My point is, the story is the 'core' game play. That is what its all about. If your going to skip all that, of course your going to complete the game in little time and complain about it. As for the game being too linear and on rails, is Kotor different? Do you complain as much about having to play the same campaign over and over? Can you play Kotor on 2 different factions with 4 classes each? I just dont get the whiners saying they want kotor 3 instead. Because it would just be this, more limited but with better graphics. Rant over.
  7. Why has nobody showered this comment with praise? i laughed out loud. Brilliant.
  8. There's nothing wrong with a mixed community but Ive noticed I've never felt the same sense of community as I did on Europa on UO as that was mainly uk. Probably because on WoW I just rolled any server. Is this gonna be like 80% uk? If so I'll join.
