  1. Oh no sorry, poor use of grammar there by me. I was implying the highest level of content i'd cleared with MV was HM TFB, nightmare didn't exist at that time Who do can I hit up in game for a chat/questions
  2. Modus Vivendi Sad to say the last remnants of the guild is now gone, their website domain is dead . I believe Revenal is in your guild. Use to be decent mates while raiding in MV. Also Mosus and Jumpsuit were in our guild temp. So yeah I'm pretty sure I know a few of you guys.
  3. Hi, APAC based level 55 Commando Media LF progression based PvE raiding guild. Current guild has disbanded due to a few players taking extended leave of the game due to RL commitments. Prior to the cessation in raiding we were 4/5 HM Dread Fortress and 2/5 Dread Palace. This progression was based largely off a single night raiding per week due to player absences. Also full clears of HM SMV, FTB, and all other 55 raid content hard mode. Prior to my current guild I was on the APAC servers before they closed on Master D. Was in top PvE Republic guild who achieved Rep first EC HM kill of 8man Kephis, nightmare TFB, EC HM, undying achievement, you name it. All content, all raid difficulties, 8 and 16 man. Lot of time, lot of commitment, but was great fun. On top of the SWTOR experience I've also had MMO raiding experience at a progression level in WoW for many years. So I know the expectations progression raiders have of their players well and have succeeded in such environments for many years. I'm committed, a half decent communicator, sociable, and the kind of guy that will rock up on time with all consumables and having studied the boss fight mechanics. Also easy enough going, wipes don't bother me and you'll never hear me rage. My character's gear is largely Dread Forged gear now with a few pieces of Underworld. Not fully optimised yet but that's a WIP. But none the less full augmented, primarily DF gear, should be able to slot into most progression raiding guilds and carry my weight. Looking for a APAC republic guild that raids between 7-11.30pm Australian CST. Progression ideally equal to or greater then my current guild's. Can also provide references from current Raid leaders and GM .
  4. Because Bioware know it would only make them look like fools. When 80+ % of APAC players vote to retain a local server and the figures are public to everyone, how would Bioware justify their decision?
  5. Actually latency is directly related to hops, not distance. You'd know this if you had any clue about networking. The more routers you have to go through, the higher the latency. The chances of lag spikes, ping, and packet loss occurring increase the more hops your connection needs to reach its destination. So for someone in the USA who has 8 hops to reach the server, vs an Australian with 16, the Australian is far more likely to encounter connection issues. Which is a significant advantage in PVP, and fractions of a second can easily cause wipes in PVE. Also Bioware you can kiss my subscription good bye. A overwhelming majority of people in this thread were in favour of merging all three APAC servers into one. Reading through the thread paints a pretty clear picture, most players were happy to forgo their server type if it meant they could retain an regional APAC server. Players would rather lose their RP and PVP server if it meant they could still play on a server located within their region. It also must be a coincidence that you've made this decision just as your APAC server hosting contracts have come up for renewal. So too that it was pure coincidence that after 7 months of ignoring us your decision just so happened to be made around the server renewal time.
  6. Sorry Eric but this isn't good enough. How about providing us with a time frame on when a decision and action will be made by Bioware? Bioware have had more then ample time by now to address this issue, yet alone come up with a solution. It's honestly pathetic how slow you've moved. Its been months since Bioware acknowledged this issue. To date all you've done imho is string us on. No real information, no updates for months, no feedback as to what you're considering, no time frame by which action will be taken, nothing. I honestly don't give a crap that you're 'aware of it', I want a time frame for resolution. I'm about >< close to cancelling my sub for the second time. Absolutely pathetic how long it seems to take Bioware to do anything proactive for their community.
  7. Can we please have a official update and time frame on a decision for this.
  8. One of the biggest issues on all Oceanic realms is lack of players for end game content. It can take hours to form a group for Heroic Flash Points, quarter of an hour or longer at night to get into Warzones (don't even try PVPing during the day as you'll be waiting hours), and raiding is limited to all but a few larger guilds. It honestly mystifies me why Bioware have gone for a model were F2P players can do next to nothing end game wise, mean while your subscribes wait for tens of minutes or even hours for Heroic Hard Modes and Warzones, and PUG ops groups simply don't exist on Master D. Why don't Bioware look at allowing F2P players participate more in end game content. Allow them to run LFG story and hard mode ops, but prevent them from participating in Nightmare, and limit them to 3 loot rolls per week. Allow them unlimited LFG HM Flash Points, but again limit them to 3 item rolls a week for loot. Allow them to participate at least 3 Warzones per day, but barred from Rank Warzones, can't obtain ranked warzone comms, and can't wear ilevel 150 pvp gear. I believe an approach like this would bring more players in, and entice them to subscribe. The F2P restrictions are doing more harm then good imho. There's a difference between a F2P model which is enticing people to try the game and then subscribe if they like it. VS a F2P model which lures the potential customer in (promise of no cost to play) and then holds them ransom. IMHO SWTOR's F2P model is the latter. It's a joke and I can't see Bioware achieving success with it. Perhaps financial success, but not success in the form of a strong and happy community. On one side you have subscribers who are crying out for more end game players, and on the other you have F2P players whom you won't allow to participate in end game content without significant hurdles and financial barriers. So you're screwing your own subscribers, and you're screwing your F2P players. I honestly believe that a reduction in the F2P restrictions would do a lot to revive the servers, also bring in more subscribers, and make your current subscribers happy. Given the unlikelihood of the above happening my thoughts: Merge all 3 Oceanic servers, but also give players the option to transfer to any American server of their choosing. Thanks, Hàsh
