To everyone who says this would be a tool for harrassment: possibly, but here is an idea: Do not display account names in-game in any way. Let people add individual characters to thier friends list like always, but give us the option to add the accounts of our friends who give us their account name for this purpose. At the very least, our friends list needs to propogate between our own characters so we arn't re-adding friends every time we make a new character.

Can we all agree the friends list is in a terrible state? Every time I make a new character I have to re-add the names of all of my friends characters which is a tedious and time consuming process. My suggestion is thus: Tie the friends list to the account instead of individual characters. Allow me to add my friend's display names and see whichever of their characters are online at the time.

Malak, not Malgus. Two different people. I know its confusing because they have similar tatse in lower-jaw ornamentation, but bear with me. Malgus was the dude in the SWTOR trailers while Malak was the dude in the Red PJs (I'm kidding, a little) who betrayed his master, and had his *** handed to him in return.

Something many people fail to realize is that Star Wars is not Science Fiction. It is more properly classified as Science Fantasy. The distinction that I'm trying to make in this case is that while technology can be seen to evolve (and sometimes quite rapidly) in Science Fiction stories, in Science Fantasy technology only advances when it serves the plot. The development of the lightsaber (a retroactively told anecdote to show the age of the Jedi Order). There are more examples I could probably name, but these get the point across.
