  1. You want surge up to 30% (this is where diminishing returns starts hitting hard), then power, then crit. Scream is going to be the bread and butter of your attacks. It will probably be the top% of your damage (once we have combat log it can be confirmed). Surge will make your scream hit as hard as possible. Power will increase all of your damage. Crit will benefit all non-scream attacks, but overall those attacks will be less damage than scream. If you can pull off 30% surge and 30% crit while not sacrificing power for crit, do it. And as you said, get as much str as possible.
  2. Partially. I love the marauder. It will probably remain my favorite dps class for the duration of my time playing SWTOR, unless they break it down the line. The only "regret" I have is one I knew would happen before the game came out. My guild was going to be short healers and I didn't want to be the default healer like I was in WoW, so I chose a pure dps class. Now we're short healers and I'm going to have to make one... /psychic
  3. I legitimately wish we still had this title. If they wanted to give warrior's the Darth title because they were crying about it not being there, they should have given the option to still take Emperor's Wrath instead.
  4. 1) Pommel strike is great. 2) It does have a very limited use, but doesn't negate ever using it. Those who say to ignore it are foolish. That very limited use is basically quickly dispatching normal to weak enemies. 3) It works off of other people's (and companion's) stuns and incapacitates. So if you are questing with a sorc or anyone else that has a stun, use your pommel strike. Use it after you use slam. Use it on a crowd controlled droid. I've been able to clip ravage and force choke (because those things incapacitate weaker enemies) to use it, but that's not ideal use of it since it wastes damage from those other abilities. 4) Pommel Strike and Kick are only PVE.
  5. Millions more people eat bologna over ribeye. That doesn't make it better than the steak. The difference is availability and ease of access. Bologna is cheap and easy to acquire. LFD is cheap (in time spent looking for group) and easy to acquire (it does all the work for you). Ribeye is not cheap, but still relatively easy to acquire. Looking for a group on your own costs more time, but you are more likely to get the kinds of people you actually want to run a dungeon with. This is still an easy process, but might take a few minutes longer. Those with discerning tastes chose the latter rather than the former...
  6. This was my first impression: "Hi! I don't know how to play a melee class. I'm going to state a completely fictitious fact about how nothing about my class is viable, and then commence to make myself sound even less intelligent." Each and every one of the marauders talent trees is well thought out. You just fail to understand the basic mechanics of the marauder. This is made obvious by your statement "AND they're both focused on single target long-term DPS." Yeah that's what melee is good at. But at least you noticed it, even if you failed to understand it. There isn't much wrong with the marauder. Sure, there can be improvements, but overall the class is fine.
  7. Has anyone noticed how all marauder QQ is pvp related? You don't see anyone complaining about their damage in pve... If the class was broken and didn't do enough damage, you would hear about it. In fact, if you see good marauders, they do a lot of damage on single targets. It's not even that hard... Second QQ point is that most people crying about how broken marauders are aren't even past level 30... Get to max level and try the class out with all of the tool in your toolbox... A melee class that can get on you and stay on you with little to no effort (i.e. without the use of intelligent cooldowns and snare breaks) is a broken class. If you have 100% uptime on a pvp target as a warrior, that person was AFK. If you cannot accept this, play a ranged class and stop ************ about my marauder.
