So it looks like it boils down to two options: 1) Give people the option to leave to a different server. 2) Remove them by force.

Legal or not? Don't really feel like waiting for 1-2 hours if I need to use the bathroom or grab a snack mid-gaming and end up AFK too long and get kicked offline. I guess I'll be keeping my WoW sub so I have something to do while I wait.
