  1. I was going to romance Vette, but I didn't know Jaesse was only available for romance to the Dark Side, that makes me a sad panda. Petition sign

P.S Petittion to make Dark side Jaese and Vette romance at the same time like in Jade Empire.

So, is it still the case that we can't romance Jaesse as light sith? What if you go dark after meeting her?

  2. And when people who want to play Jedi and Sith log in, and find that they can't?

You're stuck up on pre-CU. Jedi was a starting profession in the NGE. Pre-CU sucked, CU was OK, the NGE started to get good before it shut down to make room for TOR.

"SWG type of game" does not mean a carbon copy.

  3. but after a while I realized all other MMOs suck *** compared to TOR :D

It certainly has it's flaws (too linear and too themepark) but really, there's nothing else that's worth my time so I just as well resubbed.

We'll see how ESO turns out next Christmas :p

  4. The planets are too small to even build player houses, let alone cities.

The only thing i could suggest is having different districts on Coruscant and Drommund Kaas and have players build around those.

Is that all the forum can come up with these days? (not directed at you personally) Then ADD MORE land, it's really easy and cheap compared to voiced content, just copy paste some land with some random here and there, make sandbox systems, win. It only needs the systems, a framework for players to work with and they'll generate their own content. TOR's got the leveling and themepark content sorted in bucketloads, it just needs sandbox at end-game to diversify itself and enable other content than FP/OP/WZ treadmill.

  5. Go play SWG.

Lol, while I agree SWG is dead and buried and it was an overall mediocre game, one of the things it did very well was sandbox content, I think TOR could benefit much from some sandbox content at end-game, something else than re-running FPs and OPs (I don't PvP), some systems I'd love to see in TOR is:

    - New areas with conquestable land where we can build outposts, houses, structures etc, separate PvE and PvP areas with appropriate resource income from controlling the land, this can extent to colonies on asteroids/moons. The idea here is to keep it separate form the current land but still relevant, would need a health mix of non-instanced and instanced (like non instanced outpost with instanced street numbers "Fury Road 23")

    - Bio-engineering of creatures, pets and such from collecting DNA from the wild, where we can chose appearance, distribution of stats and chance for mutations (yes that was i SWG and it was good), would need a lab set in an outpost due to restrictions by the empire and republic on genetic manupulations

    - More extensive alternate crew skils tied into the sandbox systems, something deep and complex but not spreadsheet deep

The key point here is to enhance the already good themepark content, it is very good and fun, but alone it can get very repetitive, these suggestions would add alot of depth and fun to TOR in my opinion.

  6. Just wanted to put it out there to offset some of the "I canceled", "TOR is d00med" threads, still a great game with much potential, wish I had more time to play :D

Keep doing the good stuff BW!

ps: BW please add some sandbox content, especially at end-game.

  7. rip swg

Lol, yeah it was one of the things SWG did right, pet taming, pet DNA manipulation and of course the crafting. God I wish TOR could have copied those systems, instead of this boring static handing out of identical pets, pets for commendations and pets void of any interaction.

Edit: I want a pet bantha and acklay, pretty plox.

  8. I really want to list all the high level things that annoy me, but since the thread is about "paper cuts" then I will restrain myself to easily fixable things.

    - When opening the crew skills window, I always have to sort by level before I can start to do anything since it's automatically sorted by rating, which is useless most of the time. Every. Single. Time.

    - I often find myself aborting cut scenes and dialogue to maximize my companion affection, while it is effective it really takes away from the immersion, the music, the mood of the entire dialogue, I want a slight color on the wheel choice which will affect my current companion, kinda like dark/light but not so glaring. That way I can enjoy the whole scene a lot more.

    - Auto stack button/something of inventory and bank

    - Ability to hide crew skills recipes, it's starting to become quite a long list to scroll through, what about collapsed list by default?

    - And I want to emphasize the need of some legacy storage and credit transfer

    - Managing your sales via another tab on the GTN, using the mail is horribly inefficient and some times makes me want to Alt+F4 instead of using the GTN. Let us have a "stockroom" where expired items go, have sales history, can relist items with same/new price, right click menu option to search for that item with all the details automatically filled in (name, category etc)

    - Right click to search for an item should work from inventory (right click when you browse = auto filled in details, right click when you have sales tab = sell as it is now)

    - Customizable speeder like we can customize our star ship components, with things like stronger knock down resistance, more speed, higher jump distance, new set of grills and other appearance.

  9. Give the story and good content for free, take a fee for the boring stuff, makes sense (I consider the current end-game as a boring treadmill). As a "casual player", I don't do OPs since they all skip the story, PvP is meaningless, only use a few characters, can't afford more storage space anyway so F2P is looking to be quite OK for me :D

The problem is I think there are quite alot of people with my situation, if so then the income to BW might not be good which means less quality content (story) I enjoy in the long run. And please, don't even start with the "then you should sub to support BW", that's not how it works.

  10. Ok I'll bite since you took the effort to make such a nice hype title and all :D

    - Dual spec, we can respec so the mechanics is there, just need a easy switching system

    - Dual fit as mentioned, good idea

    - When checking GTN, left click on item in inventory to auto fill that name, category etc for price search. It's a pain in the arse to search for prices

    - Longer listing time on GTN

    - DItch the GTN via mail for expired items, have a "stockroom" for expired items where we can re-list

    - Rename "whisper" to "coms" or something more tech, we don't "whisper" in Star Wars we send holographic communications

    - Make chat tabs remember which channel we talk to, the way it is now is extremely frustrating when trying to form groups, talk to people and general at the same time

    - More/better quickbars and especially PROC icons, the procs and buffs are way to small and difficult to follow without constantly watching it like a hawk, I want to watch the fight not my bar

    - Legacy storage

    - Allow the community to vote on new names for the servers, it might make us feel like we have a say

    - Reduce cost of mod extraction ALOT

    - Allow us to read mail via hand pad computer, going to the mailbox wrecks of EQ/WoW, receiving items needs mailbox ofc

    - Allow crafters to make an un-bind kit to unbind bound items, somewhat expensive but not excessive

Well that's the "quick fixes" that would help me at least, of course I still want to colonize my own little asteroid, mine it and build installations on it to defend against NPC invaders, and free-flight space, and sandbox player driven end-game content but I suspect that is a little more than a "quick fix" :D

  11. I got some info from Damion Schubert (Principal Lead Systems Designer) about this for you! He says that the "super secret space project" is certainly not dead and is in development. Unfortunately, we're not ready to say much more than that about it. We do, though, have more space content coming in the near future, and will continue work on the "super secret space project!"

Glad to hear updates on this. Personally I hope it will be more player driven space content, but sadly I really don't have any reason to believe BW will do anything resembling sandbox content :(

  12. It feels like they are giving away the good and fun parts while taking a fee for the bad part lol. I like to run FPs and OPs once, maybe a few times for the story, perhaps a good drop or two but after that I stop liking it. I really don't like the whole commendation system, doing dailies it gets old really fast, would be so much better with a sandbox inspired player driven end-game.

I will probably go free and just do the fun story content, will have to see how it actually turns out.

  13. SWG had quite alot of fail, among other things the entire leveling up process, mission terminals and all that sucked quite hard, the graphics were old and dated, Pre-CU was bad and impossible to balance, CU was good, NGE was a bit bad again, but it got good in the end.

Now the things in SWG that was good and unique was the player driven content, the economy, the deep customization of items during crafting, housing, any item could be used as decor, creature taming, pet DNA manipulation, free fly space, player cities, player shops, harvesting new random materials every week(s). That's called depth and variety and is what TOR is lacking, if TOR did a few of those systems in a TOR way, then we would have some gold on our hands.

  14. Yeah TOR is the first and only mmo where I have loved the story and really, really enjoyed playing instead of just chasing the carrot. However it can't be sustained at the pace players consume it as we have seen, so we need more, for example mini games or my favorite: player driven content. Crafting and Space are two aspects which can be made into such systems different from the story, FP, OPs, questing and all that, crafting just needs more depth, variation and customization but space needs a huge overhaul, bets on the Super Secret Space Project (lol).

Crafting and space is very simplistic now, crafting is slightly better than most other games with the latest additions, but can't compete with the likes of Eve or SWG.

    (IMO :p)
