...which they are working on so in the future it allow you to remove barrels and armoring from purple gear.
You guys read patch notes, right?
http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=260731
Major changes are currently on schedule for the next major content patch, such as extractable basemods (armoring, barrel, etc.) from purple items, critical crafting successes on orange outfits, more bind-on-equip schematic drops for artifice and other professions, increased relevance of augments, better reverse engineering chance, and other improvements. We want to create significant incentive for players to engage in the crafting economy – as provider of goods or supplier - without requiring players to take up a specific profession as a ticket into endgame.
I even underlined and made it for you. Enjoy.
Completely worthless unless you can also swap out set bonuses.
But feel free to keep white knighting, drone.

The biodroning in this thread is nauseating.
-
how many times can you be wrong , I'm on the "Fatman" always packed , again give it up buddy
You mean the most crowded service since the first day of early access is still the most crowded server? Do they give out nobel prizes for stating the obvious?
There are plenty of other servers that used to be populated and that are now ghost towns...
-
The biodrone goes bzzzzzz

It took over an hour for my brother and I to find 2 other people to do the Foundry during prime time. I stopped doing instances a long time ago because they're not worth the time it takes to form a group.

The fact that that there has yet to be any unscheduled downtime is unprecedented.
Can't tell if consciously lying or just completely oblivious to reality.
There have been several periods of downtime lasting several hours each to implement hotfixes and perform other emergency maintenance, in addition to unscheduled extensions of maintenance periods.

Ah yes, the entitlement generation strikes again. A whole MONTH you say? That's like a lifetime!
He paid $60 which is a $10 premium over the cost of a typical PC game. He is right to feel entitled to a finished, high quality product. To think otherwise is to demonstrate a frightening detachment from the standards of reality.
-
My thoughts exactly.
People don't usually voluntarily engage in discussions of topics they don't care about. But I guess you're just a unique little snowflake, aren't you?

Prisjakt.nu (Swedish site) - 44 ratings - 8/10
So SWTOR is the B- student of MMOs. Sounds about right.
-
That guy sounds about as in touch with reality as most of fanboys on this forum.
-
We are paying for 7? Can you point me to where it says that the monthly fee is payment for 7 days a week 24/7?
By this (extremely stupid) logic they could shut down the servers for all but 1 minute per month. And you'd probably still defend them.

No, I don't PvP. That doesn't make my argument any less valid. The encompassing "aura" of all these PvP loot system complaints seems to lay in the direction of speed. You all want gear, quicker. It's quite clear, by design, that the Devs do not want you gearing as quick as you may be used to with other MMO's.
This is by design. No amount of QQ'ing on the forums should change that. They have plans that you are not aware of.
All but the most servile of fanboys shudder at the thought or defending this terrible, terrible system. I hereby nominate you as biodrone of the year.

Yeah you might want to delete your post real fast--account sharing will get you banned, and the mods here do ban accounts based on people admitting to things that are against the Terms of Use.
-
The problem with SWTOR is that the subscription cost isn't justified. They're literally charging you money while they catch up with the features and polish that weren't present when they sold you the game.
-
Where'd you get your law degree from, again?
Boston College. How about you?
-
No it isn't.
Advertising a product making use of features it doesn't actually possess isn't a violation of truth-in-advertising laws? Might want to inform your state and federal legislatures that they got it all wrong.
-
I have to agree, its amazing that people who appear to dislike the game so much still have time to post negative comments in any thread remotely positive about the game. Was just looking to share with people that are actually enjoying the game a bit of positive news.
Right, because it's not like every remotely critical comment made about the game doesn't immediately attract a swarm of rabid biodrones.
-
It's funny to see so many fanboys desperately trying to rationalize the dropping server populations with claims that everyone just decided to simultaneously take a break or switch timezones.

I remember writing this post on the 18th of December, prior to hitting 50, and prior to seeing all the little things that really drove me nuts with this game. I think that most of the 'professional' review sites really did see the same qualities I saw, but failed to see all of the other glaring issues the game has behind the curtain of shiny/new.
Don't necro threads, especially ones as stupid as this.
-
Can't believe somebody actually copy-pasted that gigantic amazon "review" by that guy that never made it past 32.
You probably should have read that thread that you grabbed that gigantic wall of whine from before you brought that junk into this one.
It was pretty well determined that the entire thing was about 60% outright lies or complaints about issues that were fixed weeks ago and the other 40% was just somebodies opinion and you know what they say about opinions.
Try thinking for yourself next time instead of copying a huge wall of text that you didn't even write (and I suspect you didn't read either) into a thread that has nothing to do with the one you are currently in.
Riiight. Because the game gets better after level 32?
Hint: it gets worse as you get closer to 50.
-
It's their game, they're allowed to do whatever they wish with it. Misleading as it may be.
It's pretty blatant false advertising and it is, in fact, illegal.
-
I get really excited when I see Republic players outsize of warzones. What a treat! It's happened three or four times now.
...
In 6 days /played.

i've experienced NOTHING of the problems the OP mentions ... charcter texture is crisp and clean, no lag in abilities thats worth mentioning, companions remind me of KOTOR 1&2 game play which was awsome.
there are going to be 2 types of people, those who love it and those who hate it ... and it seems alot of the haters are SWG fans (IMO) ... its not Galaxies, i;m sorry for you but deal with it
and as far as what you "think" is wrong with it? (granted its not perfect, but no MMO is) thats your opinion and your welcome to it.
after a month after release you being judgemental and really have no say about the game what-so-ever!!! no one and i mean no one can ridicule an MMO 30 days after launch ... its not an RPG, not a 1st person shooter, its an MMO, it changes and evolves over TIME ... thats the word "TIME", you gave it no time and therefore you're being judgemental.
sorry you didn;t like the game. but the vast majority does, and its going to be here for quiet a while i think.
i bet we'll be seeing the OP in game in the future. people like this are impatient and expect the world on a golden platter on day 1.
TIL that fanboys get issued a different copy of the game than everyone else.
-
totally agree with you mate
If that's the case then how do you explain the rabid fanboyism seen on these forums?

Well, you can't really dumb down character customization any further than in SWTOR. This game is rock-bottom in that department.
