  1. That's the point though, people USE it to say "look, I was on top of DPS" well whooptie frikkin doo, you were on top of DPS. You'll see when if they put it in and you have to turn off general chat due to "LFG xxx must have 10k dps" and if for some odd reason you get in and are below due to who knows what, you get shafted. DPS meters tend to turn people into elitiest who shouldn't be.
  2. There was a time that I cared about hardcore raiding, still never used damage meters and our guild was generally in the top 5 on the server as well. When Cata come out, the raiding got tedious and all I really wanted to do was play the game. You can progress on Hard modes without damage meters, and if you are really hardcore that's how you should play, no addons at all, and yes, EQ raids were harder than WoW raids for the following reasons: 1) getting 75 people gathered together to do the raid 2) getting to the boss before other guilds on the server got there and took it down 3) setting up tank rotation and healing rotation (without using any healing addons) and keeping the timing down, hoping you don't fizzle a cast (like you can't do now) and if it fizzled, you scrambled to keep the tank up 4) the sheer amount of time, 4-5 hours just to get to the boss, take 20 minutes to kill the boss and get 4-5 pieces of loot. So yes, I would say that EQ raids were harder when I played them.
  3. Why do world first matter? This game is geared more toward casual gamers with the story line and the amount of gameplay to get level 50.
  4. There are plenty of standard edition PC games that cost $45, most are labeled $44.99 but I'm pretty sure the standard edition of swtor was 59.99 which in pounds was 38.87 with current exchange rate, and the euro is 46.25 so the price seems pretty close to what the US is.
  5. I pre-ordered ME3 from Gamestop, I had to pay $5 to pre-order it. This $5 is taken off of the price of the game, just like the $5 is taken off of the price when pre-ordering it from Origin. Now the early access clearly states Up to 5 days, so it could be 1 day, 2 days etc etc. Like the internet providers saying you could get up to 15Mb/s for your connection, it's not guaranteed but you could get that fast a speed. The early access is all depends on when you registered your pre-order code on this site.
  6. There's another thing I'm glad they don't have, achievements
  7. ^^ This Plus to the topic of this thread: ballbat meet horse
  8. Mine is shipping soon and estimated delivery tomorrow Friday the 16th. I have release day delivery that was upgraded.
  9. They have always stated that the gear is the same you can get in the game, it just has different textures and colors and would not provide any advantage. I bought the CE for other reasons than the CE store.
  10. On low settings, that's just barely above the requirements, and the video card is below.
  11. Purely for gaming, the best bang for buck is the 6950 (according to Tom's hardware) it's the same price of the 5970, but less expensive (alot less) than the 6970, but the 6970 is a good card, just getting hard to find.
  12. That's on high, with the trees set at the default setting of medium. I'm getting a solid 60fps with vertical sync on with the same setup (other than 16gb of memory) running a 5770. The setup is solid.
  13. The 6870 is a good point for this game, my 5770 (or the rebadged 6770) runs the game at a full 60fps with vertical sync on, with it off I run from 70-90fps depending on where I am with the FPS meter green. Currently from what Tom's hardware says, the 6950 is best bang for buck
  14. See the above in red, this may steer you in a good route.
  15. You still have to use the launcher to log into the game with, why not just pin it to the taskbar so one click will launch it?
  16. I have no problems switching to high, I can tell a difference between low and high settings in mine. Running a 5770 with 11.11 drivers.
  17. Just to throw a few more specs out for people to look at if wanting to upgrade, I just did a major overhaul of my machine at home. Intel Core i5 2500k 3.3GHz (not overclocked....yet) 16gb G.Skill Ripjaws X DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) ASRock Extreme 3 Gen 3 board XFX HD 5770 1gb card (runs the game just fine at 60-70fps) 1Tb Seagate Sata 3 6GB/s hard drive.
