  1. Has there been ANY new content for GSF? I've been gone since a month or so after it launched.
  2. My mistake with the pre-made assumption, apologies. I can confirm that I was the top damage for the Republic by a sizable margin, but that was a pretty pathetic showing for all of us. I've been in PvP Guilds before and rolling over random groups is nowhere near as engaging as a competitive match between similar teams. Hopefully they'll figure it out sooner than later; this expansion has some great aspects and I don't want to see it go the way of MWO. Some kind of bracket system, ratings, and fresh content every so often will only make it better.
  3. I can confirm that this game needs some kind of matchmaking. This just happened. Republic are generally terrible, I've accepted that fact, but a completely geared out Imperial premade against...whatever this was is ridiculous: http://i.imgur.com/vIyC7Jv.jpg I'm fairly new, in my first week, and I'm frequently finding myself in the top three of most random matches. That said, throwing us to the e-sports wolves every second game is not the way to get people to stick around.
  4. Yeah, I returned from The Defector, used the Dark Side flirt and received three conversations, including a kiss. Three conversations more than my bugged Jedi had. This was at 3k affection. I'm now at 5k affection, level 25 and running through Tatooine. Most people have said the end of Act I to continue her dialogue and looking at the main storyline, it makes sense. My bugged Guardian is 38, my (fixed) reroll is 25. I'm a little torn up now, I wish they'd confirm if the patch will drop on Tuesday. If it does it would make more sense to stop leveling. On another note this is the first set of patch notes that I've been genuinely excited about. I'll give them a week or two, then I'm off to complain about being stuck on medium textures!
  5. The Dark Side Flirt is fixed. I used it this evening and got the three conversations immediately afterward. The same three that I never received on my previous (bugged) Guardian. Her story will stop until the end of Act I after those conversations, however. You're not bugged and the dialogue is fixed. e: The Defector is given when you leave Nar Shaddaa, you have a bit to go yet.
  6. Don't know if I should laugh or cry...this news breaks on the same day my reroll Guardian finishes Act I. If they'd told us at launch that it would take a month or more, I'd be 50. Irony is a cruel mistress indeed.
  7. Unfortunately yes, I'm now nearing the end of Act I on my recreated Jedi. The only way to continue the arc if you're already bugged is to wait for Bioware to fix it (don't hold your breath), or reroll. Anyone that did "The Defector" after the 27th should be fine, anyone that used the DS Flirt BEFORE the patch on 27 Dec is at the mercy of the bug squashing team.
  8. Finish Act 1. You'll get the remainder of the conversations after that, if your affection is at the required level. The bugged option was fixed on the 27th.
  9. Why yes, princess, we DO read the patch notes. That exact text has been there since several days after launch. That exact text has been there since before they "fixed" the issue for new players and left everyone else in the dark. The Dark Side flirt option (allegedly) works fine now and they've left the "workaround" there to make it look like they're paying attention. Bioware hasn't provided a real update on the situation since before patch 1.02. Try understanding the situation a bit before you come into the thread on your silver steed. I've long since rerolled my JK, but misinformation and people (people like you) hanging off Bioware's every word are the worst part of this thread.
  10. I've given up and rerolled my Guardian. I'm aware that the only way to really express my displeasure is to take my money away, but I'm not quite to that point. The rest of the game is pretty solid. I can tell you right now though, if Kira or Doc breaks for me again, I own a torch and pitchfork...I'll be right at the front of the mob.
  11. That little "workaround" was posted prior to the patch on the 27th too. It's a perfect copy/paste from shortly after launch. The only ones that had it worse are Bounty Hunters, they're getting fixed. Kira Carsen is high priority for Bioware, and I'm starting goaltender for the Vancouver Canucks tonight.
  12. It's just a UI issue, you most likely haven't missed anything. When the icon pops up on their portrait, just right click them. If they say something about speaking to you in private or on your ship, it's the real deal. If they spew out one of their standard lines, it's just a UI hiccup and should be ignored.
  13. Bioware said they fixed this. Fast forward to Coruscant, however, and every Arch node I've come across has been unusable. It glows that blue color when you hover it and shows on the minimap, but can't be harvested. Either people are griefing, or they failed miserably in their fix.
  14. I initially leveled as Guardian alongside my fiancee's Sage, we were both close to level 40. After multiple attempts at rerolling, I bit the bullet and created a new Knight. Seems like your first story is always too gripping to really stay away from. The first class your create is always a little bit special too, even if you change down the road. Bioware wins this round, but if I encounter another gamebreaker like this I don't think I can do it again.
  15. If the time they're taking to deal with blatantly offensive/racist names is any indication, I'd have to go with "they're brutally understaffed." Is it safe to pin this one on EA, or do we need to wait a while to get out the torches?
  16. It's pissing into the wind to try and get anything out of them at this point. The only workarounds for now are: A) Create a different class. B) Re-create your Jedi Knight, or C) Don't renew after your 30 days.
  17. If you haven't done "The Defector" before the patch on the 27th, you're good. They should put a sticky up top about known issues and at least state that they're working on it, but alas. They're just going to scare everyone away from Kira, or progressing on their Jedi. Again, it is fixed for new Jedi, or anyone that hasn't chosen the Dark Side/Flirt option prior to the patch. DISCLAIMER: This information is from Bioware's patch notes on the 27th. SidisAran takes no responsibility for gamebreaking experiences resulting from Kira Carsen. I've dealt with CCP, Turbine, Funcom, Trion and Blizzard, off the top of my head. I was able to get a proper response out of each of them. I've been a diehard Bioware fanboy for as long as I can remember, but this is really putting a strain on that.
  18. The only way to hit Bioware where it hurts would be to take the money away. The rest of the game appears to be in place though, so I doubt that's actually an option for many of us. To quote Cher: If I could turn back time, I'd wait six months to buy The Old Republic.
  19. It is (allegedly) fixed for anyone that hasn't done the quest yet. To be completely safe you can avoid using the Dark Side/Flirt option on the mission "The Defector." On another note, I've been a diehard Bioware fanboy for as long as I can remember, but this is passing into the realm of the utterly pathetic.
  20. What we want is a "yes, it will be fixed in the upcoming patch" or even a "we have no idea what's wrong, reroll your characters." They were "working on it" before, the patch came and went...we're all still bugged. Wake up, open your eyes, and realize that we're all still in the dark.
  21. The point is that they haven't given an ETA, or anything other than "keep waiting." I've worked in customer service industries (good riddance) and "I don't know" doesn't cut it. After the amount of time that's passed it's come to either "they don't care" or "they have no idea how to fix it." Both options are equally ridiculous. The only ones with it worse are the Bounty Hunters, but it's likely a similar issue.
  22. In other news, a young Jedi corpse was found floating in orbit around Quesh. SIS are suggesting she was jettisoned with the trash, but the investigation is ongoing.
  23. Watch out, we got a ****** over here. You know, it's people like you that allow games like KotOR II to be released unfinished. If you think it's fine, by all means, carry on. When I drop the ball at work, I'm forced to work weekends without extra compensation. If I screw up again, I get charged for a healthy portion of my check and possibly sent to prison. Now, Bioware is in a customer service industry. Without customers, they have no industry. It's not an apocalyptic issue by any means, but the approach being taken to it is downright pathetic. I've rerolled and I've talked several friends into waiting to purchase the game. I won't cancel my subscription over this yet, but I certainly won't stick around forever if they refuse to do what they're paid for.
  24. It's Thursday evening now, so I wouldn't hold my breath for next Tuesday. There's no new patch on the PTR as of my last check. I'll bring the sandwiches, Jedi. We're in this for the long haul. I get the feeling that my Assassin will be equal to or greater than my Guardian by the time this is done. It's a pity though, the JK storyline was more gripping than the Inquisitor has been so far.
