  1. I think the re-useable part of the med pack needs to be removed. I think you should have to craft items that you use same as everyone else. I'd love to craft an armor plate for my orange armor and never have to repair it or get to remove it for free but I have to pay to keep it maintained and move it if I want to use it elsewhere. Once you make the med packs consumable then biochem crafters will actually have to start making more of these and maybe we'll see a larger supply go into the market! And they're listed under a section called Consumables on the GTN. I think they should nerf the re-useables down to consumed on use.
  2. Travel is pretty fast all things considered. I rarely find myself in transit for a long time. If you don't have a security key setup so you can use fleet passes for 1000 credits I strongly recommend you do that. Fast Travel should be available to you a lot, I suggest using it as much as possible. Worst case taxi's can take you around very quickly and you can use flashpoint shuttles which are labeled on the map to get back to fleet. If you're spending a lot of time traveling around I think you need to make better use of the tools available. When you finish a mission don't waste time walking back down the tunnel you came in, fast travel back and finish the mission. When you're done questing for the night use a fleet pass to come back to the fleet. Use the emergency fleet pass if possible. Use taxi's. Dromund Kass is annoying because the taxi networks are seperated and then you constantly have ot run to the back of headquarters...that was annoying... When you get to a new planet go drive around the main roads for a bit on your speeder and unlock taxi and fast travel spots. You gain xp while you're doing this as well so it's never bothered me. As long as you stay on the main road you're not likely to get attacked by the higher level guys so take some time to find points and use fast travel as much as possible.
  3. I'm tired of loading screens as well but I believe that fast/strong enough hardware makes them all but go away. I think loading screens and game performance in general is heavily affected by your hardware. I noticed a common feature on people getting good performance, a great video card and an SSD. I guess the game loads a ton of assets because the people with fast HDD rarely reported problems in the thread I looked over. If they'd get those high res textures in the game so i could see a major improvement I'd probably go buy a new video card, SSD drive and processor....but they seem to be capping the visual quality you can use. (Probalby because if the performance drop on medium is this bad I shutter to think what load times and fps would be if we could use high res textures in game. (pure speculation)
  4. Forgot Warzones! Holy cow those play awful for me as well. Just as bad as empire station in most cases. So much fun playing a sniper where you have to drop to cover before attacking...like playing the game with 5 seconds of lag when you hit attack, movement and such is ok, but man you have to sit there waiting for your attack to go through forever!!!! Some claim to not see these issues so I guess strong enough hardware makes a difference but I don't think enough people have that kind of hardware to consider this a minor issue. The game runs great on a lot of hardware but in certain areas runs like....terrible, it runs terrible in certain areas like warzones and empire station for a lot of people.
  5. Grade 2 Ship Armor!!!! Sells like CRAZY! Everything else....eh.....I believe lvl 5 gifts from UT sell pretty well. I'm about ot hit lvl 400 cyber and the only thing I use it for is building armor and mods for my orange armor and building ship armor. A good variety of stuff sells for spaceship upgrades but nothing moves like lvl 2 ship armor in my opinion. Speederbikes might but I believe they're bound to you once you make them...so, yeah...
  6. I'd love to see all those choices in that first drop down box be icons. When you open the market you get a series of icons on the screen, you click the one you want to look for. Would be a lot faster to have something right away you can click instead of using that drop down menu. You could do the same thing on the 2nd level if necessary. And "bookmarks" as well. Once you've selected a very detailed search, like Armor, Medium, Level 1- 15, cost 1000-10000, you should be able to save that as an icon you can click and poof it pops up instantly when you bring up the GTN, or it's one of hte icons you can click on that first screen of the GTN. And the "Useable By" field is broken for everyone right? I swear it worked at first and now nothing. Just fixing that would be very helpful as a ton of stuff listed is not useable by my characters. Oh that armor looks good, requires BH!? AHHHHHHHHHHH. Ooo that looks nice, Requires Smuggler?! (I'm imperial) FIX IT! FIX IT FIX IT FIX IT!!!!!
  7. The performance of the game is horrible in empire station. The instances seem to be hovering around 225 for me and my framerate tanks when I'm there. If the station gets down to the 120's or so it starts running way better. I'd like them to make it an option to use lower pop instances while in the station if this is the norm. I'm sick of 5 fps just because it has to load so much stuff from other players. The game runs fine in most other places, seeing other players does not have nearly the negative effect it does on the station. I'm also see performance hits in space missions which is very odd to me since those are basically private zones?! Space is still very playable but it used to be better. You could also just give me a mailbox and GTN terminal on my ship then I could load into the game and browse in seconds! I don't expect you to work miracles but if being connected to all these other players destroys my experience in the game I think you need to make adjustments so my game doesn't tank due to other players. Game runs fine on my ship and in a less populated empire station.
  8. We need something that makes finding people to group with successful more often than it currently is. The /who page is nearly useless and we're locked into instances with 200 people (ish) or less, most of which are just there to shop on the station. (when at empire station) Everyone just wants something that makes finding groups more pleasant. Cross server group finders is a large step. We should start with creating zones where all those 200 people are all looking for groups. I would guess less than half of the people in the zones at the flashpoints are looking for groups, and then how many other zones are you not able to talk to? I assume general is not server wide so you're only talking to the 200 people in your instance. Give us a channel where we can talk to everyone in all instances of that location. Or better yet make that /who tool more useful and make it server wide. I think the instances are the problem, you can't even talk to all the people in your same location right now. (right?)
  9. I'm curious about this as well. I'm guessing that before these tools the only people who ran these missions were people willing to invest the time to meet other players and wait around as long as it took to get a group going. A minority of players for sure. You add tools that make it easy to get into one of these and people don't really care who is in their group and try to take all loot rather than passing on loot that is useful to others. If you don't want to use the tool you'll find no one to group with as all the people who used to diligently wait for groups to form will now just use the tool because in the end even they don't want to wait around when they can be playing. So now you take the easy road and group with randoms because you can get into missions and earn loot faster but the people you play with are trying to take everything rather than working as a group and making sure certain loot goes to certain players. Am I right?
  10. There are never enough healers or tanks. Those classes seem to be the least popular in the game so it makes it hard to run missions that are built around a healer and a tank and 2 other players.
  11. Perhaps if more people wanted to spend the time doing these missions you would not be running into so many unpleasant people? I think you're expecting too much if you want people to choose greed/pass on loot when it's going to be 30min to an hour before they get into another mission. Make it an easy and pleasant experience to do these missions and you'll likely find people a lot more willing to pass on loot they don't really need. But you stick an hour between missions and you think they're going to pass on ANYTHING!? Wake up.
  12. Are we sure we have access to all players on our server? Doesn't empire station have many instances and when you are looking for a group you only are able to see and talk to people on empire in your instance. There could be several hundred people on the same server trying to form groups but since they're spread across multiple instances evening we're only able to see a small portion...right? Assuming that is correct, why doesn't the flashpoint shuttle area have it's own instance? Wouldn't that improve the odds tremendously? If I'm wrong then it'd be really nice if that /who tool only showed people who were LFG and showed everyone on the server, regardless of zone / instance.
  13. Nice to see a response. Would be nice if they announce a hotfix that adds the medium setting back and enables high to be used in game. When I play the game I'm zoomed out enough to where I doubt I'd see a major improvement if everything was on high. (plus I play on 1366x768) For people playing on 1920x1080 I would expect they'd see a difference when you zoom in. I'd be happy with using medium if my own character loaded to high when I zoomed in to a certain point. (or everyone for that matter) I don't need to see high when I'm zoomed way out but when I look close up it'd be great if the game would load the higher textures.
  14. Ah ok, that is what I was looking for. I wondered why the armor preview for me looked so blurry compared to the companion.
  15. Why are some people getting better textures than I am on high? There is a huge difference in the low res slave costume and the high res one. I have the texture settings on high but I don't get the high res....why?
  16. How exactly do you "turn on" the High Res stuff to capture the pics before and after? I have the game set to "high" but I see these muddy textures more often than I like. The stuff in cutscenes usually looks great. Just curious how you get the two picks. Do you set the game to low, run the cut scene, then set it to high and run it again? It's easy to spot the low res textures when I'm walking around the station, that slave girl costume ended up being on a companion standing beside me at the GTN, zoomed in and moved camera to get a closer look, definitely blurry low res textures when I have the game set to high.
  17. I thought my guy has been looking blurry a little too often. Seems like there is a ton of texture popping for me. I get those low textures a lot and if I stick around long enough it loads the medium / high textures for the environment. Considering how awful fleet has been running with 200+ people I'm scared to think what it would do if the game had to load more than the medium settings... maybe that is why they aren't letting high load in game. I'm pretty sure it would kill my video card based on how much trouble it has in empire station on "High" right now.
  18. I would not be surprised if bioware changes the med kits so they are all consumable. Armormech's still have to pay for repairs on armor, cybers have to pay for repair of orange armor (item mods), arms tech have to pay for repairs on weapons, biochem will most likely lose their infinite heal/buff items. It's already a huge advantage to use those items for PvE. (maybe for pvp too?) Even without infinite use items it's still a no brainer to take this skill for power leveling. Healing your companion is a huge benefit in pve. Buffs make you earn xp faster in the end.
  19. As long as they sell gifts at a vendor the prices will be low on the GTN. It takes far less time to buy your gift and move on with a vendor than it does to buy it through GTN. The prices are low because a lot of people are selling and very few are buying. Gift missions are also the shortest and least expensive missions to run so if someone is going to level up in UT they're going to run gift missions and probably have a ton of gifts they just want to get rid of. I don't even both listing the gifts I don't want on the gtn, just sell them for credits at a vendor and be done with them. I'll have to check what prices lvl 5 gifts are going for.
  20. This. Fleet is the easiest way to shop courtesy of flashpoint shuttles, emergency fleet passes and fleet passes i can get to those terminals quickly. In every other instance the terminals are in silly places and require lots of travel time. I think I've gone to look on the nar shadaa terminal once...never again. Terminal in my ship, (and everyone else's) and terminals in all the spaceports.
  21. I expected Black Talon to have a space part when I did the mission. They send you down to the hangar and tell you to get over to the other ship, then you fly out tehre only to ride a taxi!? Perfect opportunity to work a quick 2 min space mission in where you have to attack the ship you are boarding. So sad that mission doesn't have a space portion. Would be awesome to see them create missions going forward that had space portions where you had to knock out defenses on the ship or station you were boarding. Have a custom ship or something so everyone is a gunner. Or better yet just put them into gunner seats on cap ships and then you get to attack other cap ships and such. For example on sarapin assault you have 3 cap ships right at the opening, (friendly) maybe have 2 players on each ship, one person controls half the guns, other person controls the other half, could still keep the mission on rails, would be shorter and they could end as soon as you blew up everything you needed to.
  22. GTN on Nar shadaa is not connected to the imperial GTN. (in empire fleet). Hutt space GTN's are considered Neutral and both republic and empire players can list and buy things. But since it's in such a ridiculous location no one uses it! So have fun shopping there! There is also a third GTN for republic only. 3 different GTN networks!
  23. GTN terminals need to be on every planet. Shopping at the terminals should put your purchases straight into your inventory. You should also be able to shop remotely. When you shop remotely your purchases should be delivered to your mailbox after an amount of time. (10 min? An hour?) You should be able to sell things remotely as well, something cool drops, you right click on it, choose sell on gtn, press sell and you're done. (since you can shop remotely you can price check as well) Selling remotely would have a delay on listing? May not be necessary since there is already a 1 hour lag when you sell something and you have to pick those credits up from a mailbox. It needs to be easier and take way less time to shop and sell on the market. Make these changes and you'll see a TON more items for sale and likely finally start selling those random items that don't sell now. Fixing that field where it says "Useable by: Me" will help a lot too. Maybe filter armor based on it's equip slot. (head/chest/hands/belt/legs/feet/arm) Do something for crying out loud bioware. It's like we've got a car but no gas. We're pushing this thing around town trying to pretend it's better than just walking or taking the bus.
  24. Aren't we only talking about the mod and Enhancement slots? How could you use an augment in the armor slots, You'd be gimping your armor if you put an aug in the armor slot. And the Mods have 2 stats vs one with augments. Enhancements even have two stats. I'm guessing the only thing people would use aug's on is enhancement slots, armor and mod items are too easy to find to consider using an aug but using augs in enhancement slots would be useful.
  25. I'd like a group finder/dungeon finder similar to the pvp Queue'ng system. Maybe have them unlock at certain levels? Should be able to click that button, choose the flashpoint you want, and request a certain grouping? (healer, tank, dps, dps?) (tank, tank, healer, dps?) (healer, healer, dps, dps). Maybe have it try and connect people within 5 of the mission suggestion? It's really disappointing how difficult it is to run those flashpoints. They're fun, but unless you have a group of people you play with all the time they're all but inaccessible. I don't even try to go look for groups because I almost always end up giving up and going questing. Considering how much trouble we have to put up with playing this game online you'd think they'd make playing with other players as easy and fun as possible. Seems like an offline mode would be more useful for the time being. GTN is more trouble than it's worth, grouping for flashpoints is...terrible, empire station lags like hell when you have 200 people in there, either fix all that stuff or give me an offline mode. Feels like we're getting the worst of both worlds right now. All the lag and slowdown that comes with playing the game remotely and then you will likely find the most pleasure in doing things that don't even need online servers for. (questing)
