so I am playing again and trying to figure out if I should go mm/ or leth tree. when I played I was leth tree but I know they made improvements to the sniper as whole. I am currently lvl 51 and plan to just lvl up in pvp. any suggestions on spec? for high dmg? Id love to do dmg again but the way they changed the trees around trying to figure out a decent build thanks.

YA but it isnt a single shot BUT IF YOU mean a combo of probe+ ambush+ followthrough series of shot in any of that order etc etc yes you can easily go over 9k

IF YOU MEAN IN A SINGLE SHOT you are liar, but thats easy if you use all your skills to go over 9k

and after just skimming through your friends video the quality of ppl he attacks dont seem to be too bright, and not taking anything away from him.

i agree with what you post, but it isnt just snipers that can root you in full resolve the powertech ability can do it too. and i do just fine in group and not having problem with the class im just saying that the overall ability of the class isnt as good as it was before 50

and my main point of this whole thread was GROUP utility, you can easly put any other range class in a team and be waayy better off,

also for group pvp lets put a team of 4 snipers vs a team of 4 sorcs in huttball or any other objective pvp and see how fast the snipers can cap in the first 20 seconds... speed speed. pull SCORE...

you listed all the little buffs a sniper gets but all the shields last justa few seconds and if someone gets on you and wants to kill you, you will die way faster than a sorc ever will.

i mean i know im sounding like im whinning i didnt give up on my sniper and stll play it, rank 68 right now woopie like that matters BUT i am lvling a powertech right now

yea im marks tree right now becuz the BURst is needed in group pvp, sure you can go psn spec and dot everyone but the dmg isnt their.. itll look like you do a lot at the end but for dropping targets it isnt there.

POTENTINAL WAS YOUR LAST WORD, yes i can do a lot if left alone, but for group utility a sorc is better imo for they can offer. yes i can crit 5-6k ish easy. but against decent and or smart ppl they want to kill sniper quick they will. at least a sorc can speed away instantly use their KB etc.

op/scound are wayy different than a sniper, we cant do our KB unless we are standing still. if we do pop all our shields we are able to survive a few more seconds, BUt if anyone gets on you and wants to kill you , you die, no speed away no bubble that you can recast, etc etc, i dont see many ppl runnin snipers or slingers in the ranked, im going to play mine (since i do run with same ppl everyday) but i still think id be more helpful to a group as a ranged dps by playing a sorc, merc, etc

now since the inrto of ranked minis coming up and the devs already posting that classes and some skills will be reworked . i hope they take a look at sniper/gunslingers and give us a little more utility for pvp. i know ill hear im bad. etc etc, i got BM before the ilum exlpoits, im usually top 2 or 3 in dmg as a sniper. and i love it BUT if i had it my way id rather be a sorc just for the utility alone. Also after watcing the guild summit and he saying that we are one of the highest DPS classes in the game. i honestly dont think so. because dmg gets mitigated by armor type, buffs, shields guards etc etc. more so than a sorc. anyway im going to continue to play my sniper and i think i do decent enough and can drop healers. Just after the guild summit they showed that ops/snips were the LEAST played class in the game.. AND there is a reason for it. anyway show some love! for the snipers:P cover is broke!

o also im sure the im bad will come into play i avg usually top 2 in dmg i just wish we could do more.

nowIVe played a sniper since launch and got battlemaster through pvp and not the ilum exploit. BUt when you break it down they dont really bring a lot of utility to pvp groups and or games. i remember watching the guild summit and he said that snipers/ sentinels did the most single target dps.. well our dmg is mitigated by armor type BUFFS, shields etc etc. anyways... id much rather have a sorc just for the utility it brings over my own sniper:P anyway buff us please a little? fix cover? just a thought but i will continue to play the sniper <3

ON A SIDE NOTE guildie hit 60 last night or yesturday and his first 6 bags were all BM tokens lol..

im currently 65 haing done the daily/ weeklies every day/week and ive gotten a total of 7 BM tokens and havnt recieved one this whole week so thats 7 days of dailies + the 2 weeklies:P and nothing all well

no no healer sorry not 1.

i mean i know the ablities for sith, but for jug just a hp increase not a heal and the ablility to use it twice in under 30 seconds doesnt seem right.

BUT if you have 4 ppl beating on a person and he goes down to 10% and about to die then if he pops that and a med pack would he shoot up to 50% then keep healing up to 100 without a healer? ha..

so can anyone tell me what ability a JK has that they pop when they at 10% life that shoots him back up to 50% hp.. then back to 10% then back to 50.. with a minute .. without a healer..
