  1. I didn't realize how big the difference in gear really made until last week. I'm out trying to finish out some quests that I didn't know existed in the lvl 45-50 zones of Belsavis or somewhere. I ride by a lvl 50 and he hits me as I'm riding by. I lost about 1/4 of health in my recruit gear. So, I drive just out of site, get off my mount, heal up in anticipation of going back and owning this guy. We both had the same idea and meet halfway. Before I can CC his companion I died. 3 hits by this guy. Incredible.
  2. Much like how console games with this element have a particular "Use" button that does a variety of different things.

setting it up that way would actually be regressing the MMO genre. Older MMOs had a "use button" it was replaced with the right click. Just a thought.

  3. So then why do you complain now that they are finally giving you something? Besides it's not just HK-51 that you are getting. You are getting a level increase, a new planet, a new Warzone, a new Operation and perhaps more. I just don't understand your argument.

because his argument doesn't make sense. I guess people think it's Bioware's fault for releasing 6 months of content that people rip through in 2 weeks.

  4. but if the game wasnt doing so bad

the Devs had listened to the players and also put out more content than 3 patches in 7 months

may be, just may be the forums wouldnt be awash of threads complaining about the game?

instead of use been shut up, i think its high time BW/EA listen to there paying customers.

This is a common misconception. Bioware DID listen to their playerbase. However, it was the vocal minority they listened to.

Most of the complaining came from MMO hoppers who are long gone even though they helped turn this game into exactly what they thought they wanted. GG

  5. I'm getting a kick out of how many posts under these threads have been mysteriously deleted without CS sending a msg to folks that their post has been deleted:P I guess Customer Service has just given up :p They are probably overwhelmed by folks complaining about how they broke minesweeper in EC. I guess EA ruined another gaming company. Good job EA I don't think I'll ever buy another product that you guys put out again.

sounds like they are doing their job right for once to me. tantrums have no place on a public forum.

  6. They could have it set to where if you went to far from the mob then you would lose your access to the object, they could also put a time limit for how long the object is accessable for you.

I would just drag the mob over to some unsuspecting victim and let him kill it for me.

I actually wouldn't do that, but one could.

  7. I've been putting those ideas out there since the closed Beta, and continue to do so. Only problem is that they have a dynamic suggestions forum that is continually ignored, and even if the information were to be taken to heart, you'd never know, because no communications of substance are ever made from this company.

You either get lies, or automated replies about server problems or bugs being investigated. Very little useful information is ever communicated from this team, or whatever's left of it.

Maybe you guys just have really bad suggestions.

  8. Wrong.

Free 2 Play has been a plan for SWTOR for a long time.

Bioware knew they would lose most of their subscribers in a less than 8 months.

Which is why they didn't bother trying to fix anything wrong with SWTOR or give properly answer questions.

That's funny. I don't see "SWTOR developer" under your forum name.

I like how you also assume that Bioware has been on an 8 month vacation. They are fixing the game constantly and... you know what? nevermind.

  9. WoW does not have 10 million subs and NEVER has.

    http://www.ocbj.com/news/2012/may/09/blizzard-reports-q1-profit-revenue-drop-warcraft-s/

They made 250 mil in the 1st quarter of 2012... almost all of which is WoW subs (plus a little from selling WoW boxes). That is 83 million a month. That is 5.5 million PAYING subs.... IE people paying 15 dollars a month.... NOT 10 MILLION.

Activision and EA can both count free people all they like... they are not paying them anything. WoW does NOT have 10 million subs (you are implying 10 million people are 15$ a month... you know you are)...... WoW NEVER has had 10 million real subs... NEVER.

Some of that money probably came from microtransaction in the US model as well? That's even fewer than 5.5

  10. I understand why people get upset with these things, but if you really don't like it not one is forcing you to keep playing. You got what you paid for to date. The original game and the play time you paid for. The fact that the original game is now cheaper that it's been out for 6 mos: no offense that's every game and almost every consumable product I’ve ever owned. I bought a 42” LCD a few years back and it was $1400. You can get the same model (newer, better version) for less than ½ now.

I’m not negating your feelings, but I’m suggesting that you shouldn’t be surprised here. You got what you paid for. If you continue to subscribe you will continue to get the same; if you go F2P you’ll lose some features but you won’t pay $15 a month. Choice is still in yours.

I like this and totally agree.

  11. True it does poorly with multiple graphics card. But still does worse with a single when you are trying to max out the game at 5760x1080. At this resolution you need more than one graphics card.

    So you have 3 options.

    1. Lower your resolution or graphics. So you can't enjoy your high end PC.

    2. Turn off 1 graphics card and get low FPS.

    3. Have everything on get 60 fps but LOADS of stuttering from the game engine (not from the cards)

My game runs so good on my 4 year old machine but I'm willing to sell it to you. $400

  12. You hit the nail on the head exactly. Had subscriptions stayed above a million, I'm sure we wouldn't be having this discussion at all.

I think we still would be. It may have been at the end of the year instead though.

Doesn't matter. The game will end up with way more income than if they had 1m subs and it doesn't effect a subscriber's day to day.

  13. I actually feel sorry for the people who play WoW. Most of them play because they're addicted or just don't know how to adapt to other games. The people who play just for the social aspect are okay though. Otherwise I don't understand why you'd PAY to play it.
  14. Hahaha.

@Bioware: We told ya. You didn't listen. This is what happens when you ignore the fanbase. You've become a fallen angel, going from masterpieces like BG2 to this... how does it feel at your personal all time low? Time to get back to the roots, buddies.

@Every other gaming company: Make a deal with EA, and you die. I hope you're taking notes, this is the prime example.

Peace, I'm out. Have been for 5 months, actually. Just had to get back to say this. Sorry to all the players that still play here, don't take this personally. ;)

Apparently they DID listen to their fanbase. 40% of the people who cancelled wanted F2P.
