  1. until i resubbed on swtor i thought the same thing about STO. they could turn on an event they've done for years and break something completely random..or turn it on and it'll have a bug that they had fixed in the previous year...it all seemed like a black box with a house of cards inside it. maybe that's the constant across the multiverse. i wonder if there are mmo's that get praise from the industry for good uptime/patch results stats...
  2. oh it's not a software at all...i use the razer keyboard driver to set up the macro..apparently this keyboard has memory/firmware and can store 100 profiles somewhere in it too.. peripherals sure have come a long way. oh i remember ventrillo's push to talk had the same problem when i (reluctantly) switched to vista. now i'm on windows 7 though.
  3. this could be kinda embarrassing for the razer marketing people..esp since theirproduct is already out... well, should be interesting...though people were commenting about how it seems to be 100 dollars over a reasonable price..maybe that's some kind of kickback to swtor. where's investigative reporters when you need them
  4. gee thanks, well, in the keymapping i hope i didn't blow away anything useful..but these keys seemed unresponsive: cntl-Z cntl-X cntl-C so now i can do my 'macro' the this legal way. this ruined star wars? how? if you're talking about infinite loop farming bots..i'd like to think this is of a different class. my previous method of END cntl-1 F3 was a bit unwieldy...
  5. i just want to do.... cntl-1 companion attaaaack! end select companion F3 put a force field around him but keys are prime real estate..my macro keys are well places, but i wonder if i can map L1-L3 to just be keypresses....(and not..1 key macros)
  6. oh i saw this and there was a blurb saying for hundreds of dollars this is a way around it? logitech guy hide! http://swtormacrosguide.com/
  7. but this unholy alliance even boasts of macros... http://www.razerzone.com/swtor/keyboard hmm logitech works eh...? well, one thing that is sorta strange is that under my device manager/keyboard i have two generic looking keyboards but i also have a razer branch..but my keyboard and macros work find in the regular system. how can the game know that i'm using a macro if the keyboard itself is possessed, it should be keystrokes indistinguishable from real ones. i could see if it was a software macro..but the razer keeps the macros in the keyboard ram itself (spooky) -mark
  8. (is there a search feature in the forums i couldn't find it...so here goes) i have a keyboard with a macro key. (razer tarantula) and they don't seem to work in the game. i can see they work outside the game, like when i'm running notepad. so you'd think since this is the keyboard sending out keystrokes the game shouldn't know the difference. but i tried macroing a key to 'home' and it doesn't select my character. has anyone had any issues like this and found a solution? i guess i could try restarting the pc.. actually since razer is came out with a custom star wars keyboard and i assume they're using the same macro technology, i would think that it should work. thanks for any insights! *hmm i can't seem to have a title text box....oh! it's..invisible..* -mark
