  1. How did you manage to do it in 11 hours? I play for 2 and maybe get 5 levels. But I guess I watch the cutscenes...
  2. I don't know if it has already been mentioned, but I just purchased an orange techblade from the Coruscant vendor for 14 coruscant commendations....
  3. I second this - Operative/Scoundrel is fun! I love it I'm actually planning to make an operative and level it as well as my scoundrel
  4. My smuggler scoundrel has been the most fun I've had in this game yet... don't listen much to the forums ... I had thought I'd made a bad choice when I picked scoundrel (I'd made one once I heard of the shotguns...) but now that I'm lvl 42 I'm having a BLAST playing him. The only thing i dislike is that I can't use a lightsaber, lol. The storyline isn't bad, but from what i can tell the imperial agent is a lot better. As an FYI - I like my scoundrel so much, I'm making an operative after I hit 50 and planning to level that all the way up
  5. I really had no issues whatsoever with this... I was higher level than some of you guys though - I'm a completionist and a PvPer so I think I was 30 or so when I did it. I didn't even need to heal, just let Corso tank the gold, I burned/tanked the jedi and then killed fat dude. Easy as pie...
  6. well, I play the mirror of the operative as a scoundrel... But I must say I believe it is my favorite class so far. I've been juggernaut (35) and sorc (24) and while I like both of them, this has been the most fun I've had yet. The combination of decent dps, stealth, healing, ranged, melee, and just play awesome got me hooked to it. I want to level my other toons too but I can't tear myself away from my scoundrel it does have a large learning curve, and it is weaker in a few areas than other classes, so we are more of an underdog, but it's a blast to play regardless!
  7. I don't know about Bowdar really... I've tried using him as scoundrel at lvl 32 with decent gear (nothing special) vs Corso against a champion (lvl 29, H2 quest from the Bonus Tatooine series) and Corso far outperformed the poor wookie. I couldn't keep Bowdarr up at all, and Corso did more damage... (though I will admit Corso has a lvl 29 purple crafted rifle. armstech is nice)
  8. if soloing is your biggest concern... I would suggest scoundrel. The ability to heal is invaluable for a lot of things. I say my scoundrel solo's better than my sorcerer does really. Especially now that I've hit lvl 31. I don't like classes that can't heal themselves much.... Juggernaut being the exception because it has such high defense. I imagine that shadow might have that same trait too if you spec tank - they can have the same defensiveness as the heavy armor classes.
  9. Well, this is my 2 cents... I have a lvl 31 scoundrel, 35 juggernaut, 24 sorc. I LOVE my scoundrel. It's a BLAST to play. The animations are cool, the damage is decent, and as a full heal spec I'm managing to solo all my H2s (admittedly, it takes patience, practice, and sometimes a few deaths) I haven't played either shadow or commando so I can't say much other than what I've heard... shadow/assassin is a beast from what I've heard - they have little trouble leveling or soloing, or pvping... they seem to be one of the top classes right now. Commando... from what I've heard currently has issues. I honestly don't know since I haven't wanted to level one and haven't researched it. Personally, I think my scoundrel is my favorite toon so far. However, I ALMOST wish I had rolled an operative simply for the fact the male agent voice and the cybernetics for the agent look a LOT cooler than smuggler. The story for smuggler has been ok... I have found a few lol moments - but honestly, in the 12 levels I've played an agent I kinda wish I'd gone that route too. So, consider the alternative as well as scoundrel.
  10. I know this is a necro, but I just had to bring this back to life for the new scoundrels... this made me laugh so hard. Love it!
  11. Now, I'll admit that I haven't leveled a mara yet - I do plan to at some point, but this is how my immortal jugg rolls... I never stop (almost) while using vette unless I encounter like 3 strong mobs at once. I can chain pull (I even pull when I'm at like 20% health because I know I'll survive) and then heal like once every 20-30 battles. Jugg, for me, has been crazy fast and easy. Even gold mobs haven't been an issue and I generally stick with vette. Quinn just slows me down, believe it or not.
  12. I have a pair of these pants (Supreme Inquisitor's) on "The Courageous" Server if anyone is interested in purchasing them. Just as an FYI
  13. THIS! My first toon was a jedi sage - I got to level 11 and HATED the animations... I mean pebble throwing? really? WTH!? So... I tried the knight and got it to 20. Loved the playstyle - wasn't so fond of the story or animations. I did like the armor though. Started looking at the sith sorcerer for the lighting (I'm a lightning junkie) and finally tried it. Got it to 24 (sorc) and then rolled the jugger because I wanted to actually USE my lightsaber. haha. I'm still going to level my sorc - I do love it immensely and you're right - the soloing/leveling potential... ZOMG. Soloing stuff on the sorc is like clockwork - precise, beautiful, and ever so satisfying.
  14. Yeah, I've really enjoyed my sith warrior so far. I was enjoying the sorcerer, but I switched to my juggernaut for awhile. Lotsa fun!
  15. Well, I've only been to lvl 20, but I can say as long as I kept decent gear I haven't had any issues with leveling. I can take down elites and champions (H2s) with a try or two. I hear it gets tougher around lvl 30 though so I can't really say much more
