  1. Ye, nowadays I play with comps only as DPS, and sometimes it feels bit like, Wrath of the Lich King "difficulty" or something. Mostly only on higher lvl planets, and it really depends on the specs. Melee always gets more damaged.. too bad I prefer ranged in SWTOR 😸 . Well, if nothing else, for some reason playing with DPS comps makes the story more enjoyable to me. Healer is just broken OP, and Tank is often able to aggro hold at least like 75 % of enemies Lowering my gear or just playing naked only with outfits could work, but its really annoying especially if you do some other stuff, group content, quite often during the story, like random PvP. Having to switch it all the time, also carry all that gear in my inventory or bother with summoning legacy cargo all the time would be a nightmare Anyway like I said, I dont really mind it. Fortunately the story is so great, with great replayability, and combat is enjoyable Buuuut.. since we are now under Broadsword, I thought this suggestion could be brought again, as nobody is going to look for several years old posts
  2. Let me first just say that for several reasons I don't mind story being so easy with pretty much non-existent difficutly, but.. I am pretty sure this was discussed many times, but we discussed this again lately on SWTOR Reddit, and someone gave me pretty interesting idea My first thought was to just add options for easy, medium, hard diff, something like in KOTFE/KOTET, that would apply only to locked story instances (class and planetary arcs), as naturally there would be problem with open world trash, if you had diff on hard, and player next to you who join the fight had it on easy Then somebody suggested this could be solved with consumable, say something like increase XP for 3 hours item you can get from CM and you always get some during the story Lets say some NPC would sell consumables that would last for X, Y hours, or maybe it could even untill canceled by the player. These items would reduce stats and maybe damage... IDK would have to be naturally tested by the devs and players on the test server. One item that would reduce stats by X ammount, to make the story feel like some kind of medium difficulty you would get in singleplayer RPG, and another that would reduce stats by Y (more) to make it into some kind of hard difficulty I know very well that majority of playerbase is very casual, and many people probably just play the stories, with some ocasional stuff like FPs, events, random PvP here and there, then probably go back to replay story. I am that type of player who always played most singleplayer games on hard/nightmare difficulty - Dragon Age on nightmare, Elder scroll games on hardest, CoD 5 WaW was pretty "interesting" on veteran difficulty, then there are ofc games like Dark Souls and Elden Ring. At the same time, I always enjoyed leveling alts even in post Cataclysm WoW (Cata, MoP, WoD) where difficulty was just as easy like in SWTOR solo story content, so like I said in the beggining, I dont really mind this difficulty Reasons why in the end of the day I do not mind non-existent difficulty in SWTOR story content - story, especially class stories and first two expacs are amazing, I am very much used to this kind of WoW like combat, and have fun playing my favourite combat styles/specs, voice acting and all that... make it enjoyable I am just saying. If there was this option, I would definitely like to try it I dont know how devs do or don't read this forum, but man can always at least try, right What do you think?
