  1. My wife's rig is very similar to yours and she plays the game just fine...

    Phenom x3 2.3gHz

    8GB DDR2 800 RAM

    2TB HDD

    GeForce 8800GTS

She runs the game on high at 1280x1024 and gets a pretty solid/consistent 30fps everywhere.

Trust me, it's been well over 6 months since her last upgrade..

I'm not sure if you are responding to me, but I assume you are:

The HD 6850 is a significantly better card than 8800 gts so I should be getting better performance than your wife. I run the game at 1920 x 1080 on a 44 inch HDTV and my FPS are very inconsistent. Some places it's over a 100 and others it's as low as 20. I have never played any game where the FPS fluctuated like that. A lot of it probably has to do with the Hero Engine along with the ability lag but, they are not about to get a new engine anytime soon as that would require a massive overhaul.

  2. I agree, I've only done a few flashpoint because I can never and when I do, half the time one of the players leave and we have to spend a nothing 30-40 minutes spamming general chat and that usually causes one of the other players to get frustrated so now I'm back to square

I know people are just going to say "use your guild" but, guild members aren't always available and even if they are they usually are too high or low level for the particular FP.

  3. Here is why....

I played WoW for 7 years. Groups used to be great. Then an LFG tool was introduced. After that it was hard to keep a group together because the first time everyone died people would drop group for a new one. After the LFG tool was introduced people in groups also turned into asses about jsut about everything that didn't go their way.

So in regards to an LFG tool, I say hell no.

EDIT: I NEVER have a hard time find a group, and I'm not in a guild.

you're right we can just stand there shouting "LvL 50 JK Tank LFG" repeatedly, so much better than a LFG tool/

  4. Sorry if this has already been posted, didn't see a post about it and there is no search function(outside of using Google)

I think it's a good review, about what I would rate it. It's ironic though that it's sister company: PC Gamer gave it a 93 but, they also gave Dragon Age 2 (also made by Bioware...) a 90 something and that game was terrible by most people's standards.

  5. I'm level 41 and dont even have social rank 1, I have like 700 points, I have done several flaspoints, do heroics often, but I like to do my story solo. I'm pretty sure it useless anyways, beside completing the tutorial and buying some fluff items off the social vendors.
  6. Intelligent, mature people will be forgiving. All MMOs release buggy and get fixed. Its completely playable for the vast majority of people AND you get a month of access free.

They developed a game from scratch in ~5 years. WoW has been around for ~6 years of development + 7 years of post-release growth. Expecting it be equal to WoW upon release is just silly and ignorant.

Game from scratch? I could have swore they didnt develop the games engine and instead licensed the outdated Hero Engine.

  7. I am not sure if this is a bug, but when I am attacking a group of 4-5 NPCs, I'll choose a target to attack and my companion Kira (I'm a JK Tank) will start attacking along with me, then halfway through she'll randomly jump to another mob and get killed and subsequently me or she'll aggro nearby mobs and I am unable to handle them all.
  8.

Lord Praven, a pure-blood Sith) in the Jedi Knight story can be turned to the Jedi Council to become a Jedi or killed. If you turn him to the Jedi Council he sends you an email later saying he is a padawan and enjoying it.

    Beaten to it I see.

  9. uhh I'm pretty Android has flasgh, just not iOS because Steve Jobs had a fallout with Adobe (yes I know hes dead now.) and was banking on HTML 5, but using HTML 5 video tags doesn't provide as much user interaction (buttons basically) as Flash.
  10. Think it has something to do with the fact that back during the Middle Ages, being fat or overweight was a sign of Royalty, Power, and Strength since only Kings and other royalty had the luxury of getting fat.

Also in Dictatorship's like the Sith Empire most of the wealth is controlled by a few people who can subsequently afford to gorge themselves.
