  1. It really depends how you weight the skill tree. If you go for a tank build (Defense spec) guardian ... well, put it this way... if you want to talk 'big' numbers you'll be measuring your output in DPM, not DPS A Focus / Vigil spec guardian will do reasonable (okay) damage...but the ranged classes still have the edge.
  2. Yup I've attempted this mission half a dozen times, complete all the bonus objectives and have all the mines destroyed with more than 2 minutes left to run on the clock... but only once have I managed to hit all the targets on the minelayer - and that was more by luck than judgement I think.
  3. Level 34 - haven't quite completed Act I yet (overlevelled from running Flashpoints with friends) - alas, even a Taral V lightsabre won't save you from an asswhuppin'
  4. I like the Guardian class... it is harder work than , well, all the others I've played so far but that doesn't mean it's not fun. I just wish that it was a little more viable in PvP situations (I play on a PvP server) when you get jumped when you're on your own, because right now you're dead meat 99% of the time (if the other guy is a ranged class, 80% of the time if it's a melee DPS). It doesn't matter how long you live, the outcome is always the same, assuming the other guy doesn't screw up. You just can't hold them down long enough to hurt them.
  5. Depends what sort of PvP you want to do. In a team, guardians are great (once you get the skills set), you're not going to be the one with the huge kill tally, but you will enable your team to win the day. Guarding others, force freezing and taunting the bad guys is satisfying. If you want to go lone-wolf hunting Imps then (imo) you are looking at the wrong class. Or at least, I can't figure it out - seems to me that the ranged classes hold all the aces in that department. If someone can explain to me how you're actually supposed to hold a ranged player inside melee range long enough to worry them I'd appreciate it, because right now my (L34 defense spec) guardian is a bundle of fail when it comes to Imp agents / Sith sorcs. You just can't get close enough for long enough and you can't do enough damage in the short time you have before they push you away. (I don't go looking for them, but they see a guardian solo and dive in for an easy kill)
  6. My disconnection woes have only just started today - maybe it's the new influx of people who just got the game logging into a server that's already fit to bust at the seams with people... but anyway I'm queue-ing for hours to play for a few minutes before I'm back on the queue again.
  7. In the original sense, being able (or told) to QQ required actually being able to log in to the game in the first place... 3 hour+ queues are not acceptable, even on launch for any bought and paid for game... it's not like they didn't know how many people had pre-ordered.
  8. A little bit of strategy and planning? Like somehow managing to log in on my PC at home 3 hours before I leave work? I'd move servers but the guild was pre-allocated to Bloodworthy, and not everyone in hte guild has even managed to log in yet. Yesterday I was the only person in the guild to make it through the queues before 11pm
  9. I've spent as much time queueing for Bloodworthy as I have playing. Okay, well, almost as much time... well alriiiight... too damn long anyway - at least 8 hours queueing in 3 days. Guild was pre-allocated there so don't want to move unless they move the whole guild. Part of the problem is that the Scandinavians have 'adopted' Bloodworthy as their server. No problem with that, they're all lovely people (except the ones playing Sith), but it has made the server extremely high population.
