ITT: People who have never used a Sorc shield themselves and overestimate the hell out of it. It will allow dps to "tank for 10 seconds?" Lol no. It will mitigate about half the damage of a lightning ball during the Soa fight.

Any ideas on who Revan is talking about when he blows himself up?

I thought we could have a thread on our toughest fights, and perhaps some tips on these as well. For me, Leveling: Athiss, last boss (the random dot) Boarding Party, last boss End game: Fabricator Bonethrasher Kaon, bonus boss I think I honestly had the most trouble on Athiss. I had little experience then and the random dot did more damage than I could heal through. After that, I'd say the Fabricator because one time our MT went down and we had to heal the off tank through the fight with a full stack of armor debuff. Toughest bit of healing I've done in the game so far. Soa is also bad if the team isn't handling the lightning balls optimally.

CC two of the adds, slow the third. Kite it, kill it, and repeat.

Can you solo heal the Fabricator on Nightmare if the second healer is doing the puzzle with one other DPS?

BP final boss is easy since they nerfed it a few weeks back. Kaon bonus boss is the hardest FP boss in game right now, I think.

Lol you have no reason to complain about artifice. I'd wager that the ten richest players in the game right now are/were Artifice. Great relics, and a tradable Magenta crystal that still brings 500k on some servers. Actually, yeah sure complain about. Every crew skill needed a buff up to the usefullness level of Biochem, not a Biochem nerf.

Yeah, this whole patch has been mind boggling.

Everyone can use the Exotech reusables, which are not consumed on use and I think are either on par with the Rakata ones or one step below. You better start saving though, because the prices will be ridiculous for the first week they're live.

Pretty sure the Exotech reusables aren't implemented yet. The schematics just started dropping a week or two ago.

I don't think Duel of the Fates is ever played, but Anakin vs. Obi Wan is played during some boss fights, like Soa. (Anakin vs Obi Wan is similar to Duel of the Fates)

I thought this forum could use an RE success story to balance out all the negativity right now. I'm a Biochem. Yesterday I decided to RE my first implants to sell on the GTM. I chose the Juggernaut tanking implant (Nano-Optic Reaction Implant). I made a few of the greens, and the second one I RE gives me the blue schematic. AND it's the Redoubt category, which is what I wanted for tanking. I craft five of those, and the fourth one I RE gives me the purple schematic. AND it's the Veracity subcategory, which gives Shield Absorb (exactly what I wanted for tanking)! At this point I'm grinning like a loon at my good fortune and I craft my first five Superior tanking implants. The third one that pops out is a Mastercraft Is this normal or was I just the luckiest person in the game last night?

edit: Nevermind I see you're talking about the Biochem 380 reusables.

It's pretty random, in my opinion. Yesterday I ran Kaon, EV and KP. The Fabricator dropped two SI healing relics, Soa + Karagga dropped SW gear, and then in Kaon the IA and BH helms dropped (and we didn't have an IA or a BH ). Luck of the draw, stick with it.

The Sorc is a great raid healer. 4k+ damage shield, AOE heal, decent raid heals, great force management.

AP sounds cool. Utilizing the flamethrower regularly sounds like a blast, for leveling at least. I will have to see how it performs in raids though on my own I guess.

Bring an off tank to KP. You'll likely need it for the Fabricator fight (swap tanks to lose the armor debuff) and it's very helpful for the 2 BH boss fight.

If you can't heal through the damage, extricate the tank to you. Heal him up beside you. The boss will have switched to a new target, and have the second healer extricate that person to them. Have the tank jump back in at this point and that should be enough of a break to survive his frenzy. If you have a third Sorc running as DPS, you could even extricate the third target of the boss before the tank retakes the agro.

Nope. I do laugh quite hard though at the screamers. Whoever designed them was trolling. Poor tanks!

I've just started leveling a BH. I've already decided I'm going Powertech because my raid group already has two Mercs, and having a Taunt is something I want. I'm looking for a build with good, sustainable DPS for those long boss fights. Some survivability wouldn't be too bad either for fights like Jarg & Sorno that can utilize an off-tank, but I realize that may not be feasible if I want to put out good DPS numbers too. Anyone have any suggestions? I've heard Pyrotech is the way to go for PvE, which is unfortunate because AP's flamethrower is awesome.
