  1. There isn't an exploit, it's quite simple to farm that amount of credits within a couple of weeks. Just have a bunch of level 80s, and most bot programs atm are not working for this game, because of the 64 bit transformation, it would of required many existing programs to completely be reprogrammed. Its just credit sellers buying from third party players, and reselling them for a higher price. Also the possibility that the person themselves are trolling, and trying to get a reaction from people, but in any case I have been hitting 4-5mil per day on one character, so get a couple of 80s do this on repeat for a couple of weeks, and ta da there is your result.
  2. It's not like 100mil is hard to farm in the current economy even on a fresh server. Bot farmers, just buy credits from third party sellers for a cheap price and then re-sell them.
  3. It will most likely be 90ccs, if it will be free for geopolitical players in the APAC region, that would be great (but very doubtful).

    APAC

Nowhere does it say that is primarily meant to be a newbie player. The fact that Keith himself stated in his post, they intend to open up transfers indicates that is meant for old/returning players and if it brings new players along the way that's sweet. They didn't allow transfers because of economy changes, not because of the playing leveling field, although it did help with that. If we are going to simply say this server is meant for New Players, then we are basically saying screw the rest of the APAC community that have been loyal to this game. It doesn't matter if the grind is long or not, some of us have connections to the characters since launch. Am I going to farm a crest of the dread masters again? Plus wings? On all my characters? Especially some of the none-obtainable ones. It is a pretty selfish lenses, just to think about one class of players and not the rest. And again, the concerns about this thread is the economy, which can easily be fixed with a simple credit cap.

    APAC

Yes, so open up a server for APAC and keep the current APAC players out, and all the progress they made on the NA server for the last 10 years. That is such a great suggestion... NOT! You can easily add transfers characters and limit how much an account bring to a new server, they did this back in ranked, they can do it again. You all seem to forget the APAC players that have grinded and remained loyal for all these years, and had to deal with the NA ping. Character transfers must happen, but there needs to be a credit cap implemented, so no one person can destroy the economy. Secondly, the economy on Shae Vizla requires the experience of older players, and their materials (because at the current rate, crafting augments. specifically gold augments, will take forever). Thirdly, again whilst this server is meant for old/current APAC players, new players do indeed play a factor. That does not mean we need to start tossing and forgetting about the current APAC players, like myself. Many APAC players, including myself, who are in the endgame community that raid and do PvP, do not want to re-grind, re-craft, re-gear. Many us have connections to our characters, and we shouldn't have to start over, just because off the new server. This server is meant to bring together the APAC community, and not divide us.
  6. It is going to happen either next week or the following week after, or most likely when 7.4 is launched. The data already shows that the economy changes even on a fresh economy aren't hurtful. You have guilds that are already in full 336 gear, and are now beginning to craft augments.
  7. It will lean more towards Satele. Whether it thrives or not is dependant on BroadSword. @TrixxieTriss stated multiple times, and myself, proper marketing needs to be done to reach the old APAC players that left. However, that is only part of the equation, the rest relies on BroadSword delivery good patches with EndGame content. The old/returning APAC players have some content to catch up on, but realistically this content can easily be caught up probably in 3-4 months time, maybe longer (depends on how frequent a player plays). However, after this period, BroadSword better be realising content that is targeted towards endgame, otherwise the efforts put into Shae Vizla will be undone quite easily.
  8. That criteria was only necessary during the 1.0/2.0 era, where servers were added/deleted. It no longer applies. And if they seriously wait 90 days, the APAC server will be dead.
  9. Hopefully before the holidays, you would want to give APAC players the opportunity to play it, when they have time off.
  10. Frankly speaking, opening up transfers and simply implementing a credit cap between 10-50mil, would not destroy the server. I completely understand BroadSwords aim's of wanting to look at how a fresh economy is able to adept and develop itself over time (where people start fresh, and have to do heroics/missions etc to grind), but there must also be a time where it is absolutely vital for transfers to be open. I think a month is more than sufficient for Broadsword to gather the data they require, especially when most people are nearing endgame on the new server. For instance, I myself already have 336 gear, and I am about to be fully min/maxed, and will have 330 implants within the next several days. Broadsword needs to understand that whilst giving new players/old players time to adjust to the server, and not make it overwhelming, they also need to reunite the APAC players who have stuck with SWTOR. If they further delay the transfers any further to 2 months and longer, it is just going to decentivise players returning, and currently endgame PvP and PvE (although with the help of Tauntaun War Veterans) is barely popping/non-existent. I am guessing that this will change with time and over the next several weeks, but without the older players/other APAC players that are stuck on SS/SF, there is the potential for players to be frustrated with how they are unable to complete endgame content. I really do hope BroadSword acts fact with the transfers, because again, the new server is fantastic and we should use every opportunity to build up the APAC community in this game. However, as I stated character transfers are essential for this process, but also BroadSword needs to ensure that new players/returning players, stay with this game and that requires frequent updates with actual content that is targeted towards endgame.
  11. There are too many assumptions in all of this. I think we can agree, that it will last as long as the other economies have no way of touching the Shae Vizla economy. By putting even a 10mil cap/40mil cap during transfers, this will not add inflation into the game. You are also execrating the influence gold sellers have in this game, what caused inflation was way back in 4.0 where numerous amount of exploits appeared and BW was slow to act, giving people time to transfer these credits and hiding them away (and now we are witnessing what happens based on the inactions of just 3 expansions). It is not a short-sighted approach, it is reasonable especially for a new server, and you are presuming that numerous amounts of players will transfer to Shae Vizla with the purpose of causing inflation there. I think it is a complete six degree separation of somehow insinuating that a credit cap would some how equal the same level off inflation on DM, SS and SF. If anything it will be far less, and again BroadSword has to carefully make these changes based on the fact that old APAC players and current (like myself), do not want to regrind all the work we previously.
  12. Then let them complain, it is not the responsibility of the developers to make everything dummy proof. And I think you are really overexerting how people will react. Obviously, there will no credit cap on Shae Vizla (like all the other severs), this credit limit that will be imposed on a character transfer is to ensure that the fresh economy on Shae Vizla remains clean. And if no credit cap is imposed, then Shae Vizla will die as fast as its launch, it will get rid of new/old players after seeing the economic inflation.
  13. They actually do have that power, the transfer system already notifies a player if it has mail, so what they would do is make the system check for credits, if the credits are over the limit off the transfer, they will simply block it off. You took one thing in terms of a characters level, and then somehow did the mental gymnastics and asserted that they are unable too, and they have previously when Ranked was a thing, you were unable to transfer a toon that a had a greater elo rank of 1200. Moreover, to your other point, if a player has an excess amount of credits, the system will warn them like when it does with mail. It is up to the player to then remove those credits like a reasonable adult, and if they don't and the transfer system deletes those credits, then it is off their own stupidity.
  14. The main problem, that BS faces, which is if they open up server transfers, it could very well ruin the current fresh economy on APAC, and overwhelm returning/new players that have just started. There is a simple solution, which is cap the amount of credits each person is able to transfer to Shae Vizla. Overall, they should just do a mass merge of SS+SF (one big NA server), merge the remaining EU servers (one big EU server), and maintain APAC. They would obviously would reduce costs, they wouldn't have to pay voice actors for the French/German dialogues anymore. On another note, the fees that are currently implemented and the next upcoming fee changes in 7.4, will be incompatible with Shae Vizla, as earning credits from scratch with the current methods available is a joke (especially with the lack of toons you are able to spam heroics on etc), and many guild members cannot access a guild bank (due to the 30 day rule).
  15. Not necessarily. I have two theories, one that based on the data they have available, they know that their is a significant portion of APAC players who play this game, so it is far easier to provide them a server + with the recent AWS, the costings now are way way less. I am also presuming that a potential SS+SF merge will happen. So, that you will have one big NA server (maybe merge DM+Leviathan+TH, so you have one big EU server), and one APAC server. Thereby, you are hitting all the regions. In the end if they do that, the price of providing an APAC server is minimal when you are basically getting rid of 3 servers. I heard that they are unable to get rid of Leviathan and Tulak Hord due to a contract (but I think that will disappear + they wouldn't have to pay the voice actors that voice the French and Germany dialogues). Overall, it is a win/win, in their books in making/saving money. The game will remain in maintenance mode until they get their budget replenished, and with only 30-40 people now in the team, they are unable to produce content as fast.
