Haven't seen it mentioned. You can also change the color crystal on critically crafted weapons. Definitaly a bug. But i don't know if it just doesn't show at first or flat out isn't supposed to happen. At any rate if you put a color crystal in the augment slot it will pop up the color crystal augment. It also seems the default is +endurance orange crystal.
