I've been playing SWTOR a little over a month.
I've completed all the Republic class stories and just started the Sith Warrior story.
Coming from playing WoW for 15 years, this has been a refreshing change.
It's been a long time since I've not cared about an endgame. In WoW everything pushes you to the end game and never encourages you to enjoy the leveling process.
STWOR definitely makes leveling fun. In fact, I'm so into these stories I don't even care about my level.
The way it makes you feel like a true hero in the story instead of just an anonymous "champion" makes the class stories incredible for me. I've had more true fist pumping moments in SWTOR than I did in all the years I played WoW.
But here's one thing that really stood out...
I got my wife into the game. When we did Flashpoint: The Esseles together... the way it makes you both part of the story! The dialogue scenes, there we both are... and it was an extra layer of fun see which one of us would respond to the NPC each time. It felt like a real Jedi adventure, the way we could split up to shutdown multiple generators and then meetup to face the big bad droid... what a rush.
Then when we were questing... to make it even better, she wanted to turn in a quest while I was still on the other side of Nar Shadaa doing Bioanalysis nodes... the fact that I could still turn in the quest with her via Holocall was amazing.
I'm really enjoying my time in SWTOR and I look forward to seeing more of the game after I finish all the class stories.
