I agree with the above. I mean come on people when pre-order first became available almost half of the current total pre-orders were completed and registered.
So if in 2 days they can clear over 500,000 pre-orders in the first day and a half. Then it's a pretty solid bet everyone will get their 5days.
This release pattern isn't "just a safety measure" against server failure. While yes it is in waves to prevent crashes it also allows them to see how any fixes/updates/maintenance have altered server stability.
People really gotta calm down. I was there for the launches of WoW, Star Wars Galaxies, EverQuest 2, DC Universe, Star Trek Online, Dungeons and Dragons Online, Conan and a few other lesser known titles.
All of them had far fewer pre-orders and launch day logins than this game will have.
They all had massive stability issues upon launch as well, and at the time the response from the developers was. "...................." or "Give it a few days and things will become playable."
Bioware is doing fine.
Everyone flaming and nerdraging will calm down like a kid in a candy store does when mommy gives the little punk some fudge as soon as they get their little email.
