  1. The fact that LotS was an insanely short expansion yet they still managed to stuff it full of Lana content is the real kicker. Though honestly, 7.0 included barely any new story. Even some of the new major characters got very little screen time. I'm still holding out hope we'll see Theron again soon. I've long believed Theron will continue to have some relevance with Task Force Nova. In a lot of the shorter cut scenes before 7.0 that's what most of his dialogue was about. I'm hoping the fact we saw him with Satele wasn't just a cinematic choice either. I'd be interested to see more of this for him. Of course... this all depends on meaningful story content being released which remains to be seen.
  2. Keen to play the new story! Hoping Theron makes a decent appearance. FINGERS CROSSED!
  3. I can see both sides of the argument. Yes, Theron has been treated better than other kill-able characters or romance-able companions. I am grateful for that. And yes, both Theron and Lana have experienced a drop in screen time since the traitor arc as the writers wanted to introduce new characters - also fine. However, out of Lana and Theron, one has retained more screen time and I think it's valid that some people are annoyed at the special treatment she has received, especially since Lana and Theron came into the game as equals. I like Lana, but I do miss Theron being more involved, and those non-romantic scenes better fueled the romance. I think a lot of us have been anxious as well that the writers are going to get tired of doing two versions of every scene with and without Theron; a situation they created for themselves. And while the inclusion of Lana on the load screen doesn't say much on its own, I was also disappointed they didn't mention Theron in the streams. Personally this annoyed me to, though I thought the only reason Koth was introduced was because Troy Baker wasn't available to voice the first few chapters? I can't remember where I heard that.
  4. Another two months of cruel anticipation to find out if Theron made it in the expansion. Thinking of you all during this difficult time.
  5. I'm glad I wasn't the only one whose heart sank when seeing Lana in the poster. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Lana, but Theron to me was objectively the more interesting character with the better backstory when they were both introduced in SoR. It just seems he was discarded because he was the male LI while Lana has gotten significant screen time in basically everything. Where is the balance?
  6. Most of his lines these day are about Task Force Nova. I think the most likely scenario is he'll be a Republic-side character only with saboteurs only being able to reunite with him once they are give the chance to formally switch sides. It'll be revealed Satele rescued him from Nathema and he's been in hiding with the Jedi ever since. Any Republic loyalists characters who chose to leave him will reunite under tense circumstances but be forced to work together again. For Empire players he'll return as a nemesis with a possible future-kill option that will satisfy the edge lords. For Empire Loyalists players who saved him, he'll most likely defect back to the Republic/Task Force Nova which seems to be where his story is heading already. As much as I'd like Theron to appear on my toons for all sides, he first emerged as a Republic character and I think that's the only way to make his character work long term. It's always felt odd having him tag along with my DS Sith Imp.
  7. What concerns me is footage of Theron only shows up for the SoR summary in swtor's latest "the story so far" video. They didn't even mention him when they summed up the traitor arc. Meanwhile, a few shots of Lana show up throughout. I might be overthinking it but I can't help but wonder if that was intentional. Not long now until LotS so we will find out, but I think anyone is optimistic about Theron showing up much
  8. I always liked feeling like I had their approval. Satele is the only one that gives her blessing which was always nice to watch especially on my Jedi characters.
  9. Sorry bit of a change of topic. I came across this youtube video that seems to emulate the voice actors for Lana and Theron. Had me wondering if what this could mean for fan made content if Theron gets phased out of future game content Would be cool if this technology could be perfected: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IK2vEpS-oGA I usually just leave Theron in his default outfit though I agree, the shoulders pads are not right. It's a fashion choice to make him seem more buff but meh. I want to put him in something like canderous' outfit (show a bit of arm ) but I don't see that something Theron would wear... maybe if it was seasonally appropriate?
  10. I can't find any interviews of Troy Baker discussing SWTOR Do you know when he has talked about it?
  11. There needs to be a solution that makes everyone happy and killing off a character permanently is not that. I agree that these bugs can be very immersion breaking but the focus should be on resolving them and preventing them in the future. Advocating to remove a popular character from the game for everyone is going to leave a lot of the players upset (including myself). We should want a game that offers choice and have those choices stick. Not have it so we're all playing the same story line. In other words, please don't take away my Theron
  12. I've assumed we'd at least get a Theron appearance that was on level with Onslaught (a few lines here or there and maybe a romance scene). I'm holding out that that's what we get but there is no way for us to be certain. I don't like to pile on Lana too much because I actually like her and she's been apart of the game for a long time as well. But I agree, the amount of screen time (a lot having this unwanted romantic subtext) just feels so unfair. My expectation is they would at least remember to throw us a bone for this character we have invested so much in and has been with us through so many plots/expansions. But we will have to wait and see. For the people who advocate to have Theron permanently killed off just boggles my mind. The point of giving the player choices is that we get to experience a story where choice matters. If the solution to bugs is to permanently remove him from everyone's game then you'll create a precedent where everyone ends up playing the same story. Surely everyone, including the Theron haters, should see this will impact their game-play? I want everyone to enjoy their game even if they make different choices from me. The focus should be on fairness and fixing bugs, NOT ruining someone else's experience. [/rant]
  13. Hi all! This is my first post and I've recently done my first play through of all the expansions. I hadn't played TOR in years (last time I played I don't even think Shadows of Revan was out) but my friend suggested it and I started completely from scratch against my Steam account. At first I was just grinding through my class story in anticipation to play these expansions that I knew of but never experienced outside of seeing the cinematics and trailers. I remember first coming across Theron, I was really taken in by him. I've always enjoyed the story but to me I was just progressing along through the game until that point. The more interactions with him I had, the more I got invested. After Rishi, I was completely obsessed and so much of my motivation to push on was to see how the relationship would play out. I don't usually romance characters in games. When I last played TOR I think I only ever did a few flirt options just out of curiosity and usually followed by an 'esc'. I especially didn't plan to romance anyone on my Jedi Consular where I had, up until this point, been living the 'model-Jedi' fantasy . Its comforting to know I'm not the only one who got so invested and I really hope we see more of him in future content. When the kill option came up I was devastated. While I of course saved him, I knew what it meant - that his character was never going to feature as a main character again and he'd be relegated to small supporting roles like in Onslaught. It cuts deep! But I live in hope that he won't be phased out completely. And as much as I enjoy new characters, it's hard to really welcome them when its coming at the expense of the characters I've already invested in. Anyway, just wanted to pop in and say you have another recruit to the club Also I'm thinking of ordering the book, Annihilation. Even outside of the romance content I just like the idea of Theron as a character - particularly the whole born of a Jedi Grandmaster but not inheriting the Force and what that means.
