  1. swtor doesnt have any smuggling, the story starts that u did smuggle weapons for the republic or something like that but thats it! this isnt smuggling, its just the start of ur class story nothing more there are alot mmos who have smuggling systems and i dont get it why we cant have this in swtor? is it because swtor tries hard to be a wow clone? why we cant have nice things? stuff like that or ''flying'' ur own ship were always a huge downer for me with this game dont get me wrong, atm swtor is alot of fun to me but if i compare it with the old swg and compare it features then damn swtor doesnt stand a chance the devs could really learn from swg's history and should stop with just copy wow sometimes it seems like the swtor devs forget how powerfull their license is and with a few nice features they could bring back alot of people and make em stay with such stuff.... but a wow clone with star fox flying feature wont fix it for alot of the old swg vets and i still know alot of people who quit swtor early because of these missing features (they told us swtor gonna be our next home and even let us create our guilds early before swtor launch) *EDIT* also why should i create a new thread about this topic if u have tons of these since 2011, no need to make even more xD
  2. that is not true i didnt smuggle anything, there are like 2 or 3 explo quest were u can slice a terminal or decide if u wanna sell or destroy spice but thats it i wouldnt call that smuggling after swg(star wars galaxies) became really bad with the infamous nge patch the devs added a really nice smuggling system at one point were u would transport a crate of spice or some smuggling item to a npc and u could not fast travel at that point so u had to fly and travel there urself by starship/speeder and on foot, while on the way to ur target location other bounty hunters could see ur mission on their terminals and could hunt u down while smuggling stuff i would love to see that system in swtor (**edit: also back in swg pre-cu days they added the imperial crackdown feature where imperial trooper npcs would patrol around in towns and would go into cantinas etc to scan players and if u had anything illegal with u u had to pay for it or run&fight) the whole bounty system in swg was awesome! it would be a great feature in swtor too in my opinion but thats maybe abit offtopic now lol
  3. dont get me wrong.... i really like the gameplay and pacing of the scoundrel and i also like ''some'' of its melee abillities but all of its pistol abillities are like only 5meters sucks abit in my opinion it would be really easy to fix that with just adding 5-10meters to a few (not all of them) the range abillities and also remove the bushwick animation with something more smuggler stylish (smuggi throws a grenade into the air, shoots it and it explodes over the enemy in a big dustcloud of gas/fire/shrapnell or something like this) that would be much better than ''that'' we have now lol also i really like ur ideas banimoka! the only thing i would dislike if they would make ruffian a ''pure'' or ''static'' range class, i would really hate it to lose my mobility i like to have range and melee abillities (pistol for range and dirty fighting tricks, punchypunch for melee) also the idea for giving scrappers vibroblades/knifes is great but hell no lightsabers that would not work
  4. swtor is a mmorpg that means u always play with other people because the core element of ''any'' mmorpg is the social interaction with or against other players (raiding/pvp etc) games like this are part of the internet culture and u will allways find people like this (its the same like in real life btw ) but saying that every player in this game is toxic is wrong i just came back to the game and still got my own little problems (smugglers arent really smugglers, no spice, fighting with fists against jedis feels more like son goku from dragonball than han solo) but i tell you all the players i met so far were really really nice and helpfull to new players! if u did encounter some black sheeps dont give up on it! if u really like the gameplay just put these people on ur ignore list, look for a nice guild and i bet everything gonna be fine for you!
  5. lmao this thread is from 2012.... and its still true after 7 years nothing really changed, what did they add to smuggler in that time besides removing good animations and adding much worse did they work on the smuggler story or anything on that class to make it more like starwars? when did they see han solo running around punching jedis to death and killing everything with his trusty double barrel shotgun?!?! this is just prove that BW does spent their money on crack rather than on good ideas! just why?! whyyy?! i just came back to the game but after 2-3days + tons of infos from my friends and i just wanna quit again... good job BW /quitsub
  6. its really lame that scoundrels have a pistol but can only fire it if in melee range and yea i understand that scoundrel is designd as a melee class but cmoon... fighting sith lords with my bare hands, kicking them into the nutts and having the gun just for style?!?! thats one of the most immersive breaking classes in the game, its feels like the class is made for 12year olds and not for han solo fans!! playing a scoundrel feels like playing a character from dragonball to me lol would be nice if they add some more abillities that would give us some range with our guns or atleast some nice animations or a theme (poison/fire etc) like other classes have, or just anything that gives u the feeling of playing a smuggler!!! since i playd a smuggler in the awesome star wars galaxies mmo (RIP) i wanted to continue playing one in swtor but it seems like i have to switch over to bh -.-
