  1. I've suddenly realized that if we choose to look on the situation not from the practicality or emotionality point of view, but imagine ourselves as writers who need to push the plot forward and to show character development in the story, than saving Torian, surprisingly, starts making slightly more sense - at least for me. The response of the Commander heavily depends on their particular personality, but let's imagine that we can adapt it to a desirable choice. So, we have three characters who're important in this episode and who would make direct influence on further events - Torian, Vette and Vaylin. So what would work better in this scene? If we choose Vette, the result is following: 1) Almost none character development for Vette. She got into trouble and was saved... again. Knowing her backstory and personality, I can easily assume that it would not be the first situation like that in her life, and it probably won't teach her to be more careful - vice versa, after being saved from a situation she's trapped into because of her own recklessness, she might become even more reckless. 2) Character development for Torian is huge - he finally realizes that honour might not be the top priority in life, - but he gets this character development something like half of an hour before his deaths, and it doesn't matter much for the story. 3) Vaylin kills a soldier - cruel, but predictable situation, which is not much touching for the player and also looses a bit of flavor in Vaylin's craziness. If we save Torian: 1) Vette might not have character development but she stays true to herself until the end, and the fact that she is, usually, lovable by players, makes this scene really heart-breaking while not loosing much of character potential for the future. 2) Torian gets the same character development of re-thinking his priorities in life. Additionally to this, the Commander gives him a good example of a new way of life - we can easily draw a parallel between Torian killing his own clan, and the Commander saving him when he was in basically the same situation but with the roles changed. 3) Vaylin kills Vette, showing us that she does not hesitate of killing a vulnerable unarmed civilian who can't do anything to her - and that she even enjoys the process. A huge indicator of how much Vaylin have fallen into madness. So for the sake of the story, saving Torian is more "profitable" from the writer's perspective.
  2. Can someone explain me please how you're going to play it on Xbox? The entire combat system in SWTOR is based on clicking numbers on keyboard which are corresponding with your chosen abilities, which require a PC or laptop.
  3. How? I haven't found anywhere how to do that, all I've found is "bring your friends" but noone of my friends is playing SWTOR + I'm not a social person in general.
  4. I said blasters but I didn't say double-wielding. I meant using one blaster like Scoundrel or Powertech.
  5. Addition on Group Finder - I need an opportunity to put the finder specifically for a particular flashpoint/operation, instead of just randomly being pushed into a random flashpoint I wasn't planning to do today.
  6. Some stuff in no particular order: 1) Dyes. First of all, many of light colours look literally weird on most armour. Bright colours on metallic surfaces are a kind of nonsense too. And as a person who is a lot into art myself, I am pretty sure it has something to do with wrong shading of this colours. + Current yellow colour is just... I don't have civilized words for this. Also as it was already mentioned it would be really cool to add more dye modules (maybe even triple modules) or ability to use several single-coloured modules. My JK really needs a black-orange-magenta combo! 2) Speaking of combining dyes, I also have an idea that as we can have different crystals on weapons for dual-wielders, it might be cool to have double-blade lightsabers with differently coloured blades. 3) MIMICKS FIX!!! I can't stand all this scenes in KOTFE and KOTET where my character's eyes partly go through the texture of eyelids! Maybe it's only a problem with female Pub Zabraks, I haven't played this part of story with other species, but it's annoying. 4) Fixing textures in general. It freaks me out when in the same scene we have highly detailed Arcann and then Vaylin who looks like she was done by an amateur 3D artist with few months of experience. Jakarro is a weird piece of low-poly nonsense too. 5) Alternative lightsaber styles. More curved hilts (I have an impression that's only one in game so far), more lightsaber pikes options, maybe even lightsaber tonfas or reverse grip? 6) Dyes for weapons and non-animal mounts. It makes me sad every time when I see a perfect weapon or mount for my character but it's in wrong colour and there's no alternatives. 7) More customisation options for Twi'leks and Zabraks. Especially bright red skintone and separate lekku patterns and makeup options for Twi's, and more hairstyles, tattoos and hair colours (meaning, unnatural ones) for Zabraks. 8) Not much on a big update, but... More elegant animal mounts? Something more horse-like like an orbak for example? Most of current animal mounts, with few exceptions, are a) lizards, b) giant musk ox looking creatures, or c) flightless birds. 9) Even more puzzle-like quests instead of "go here, kill this mobs, speak with NPC" standard quests. 10) Capes and cloaks gravity fix. In many cases I've chosen to wear my characters and companions into less cool-looking and "in-character" armour just because it annoys me when the cape gets stuck in the character's texture while moving. And it also constantly happens here and there in cutscenes with cape-wearing NPCs. 11) HOOD FIX!!! We either need to finally get hair being visible under the hood, or have more headgear that can prevent the hood showing on character. 12) A bit weird thing but... Nonbinary and trans playable options please? Yes I know that SW is majorly cis-hetero stuff but as we have canonically bi/pan(?) romance options, why not add this too?
  7. For me it's just a roleplay matter. Combining abilities whatever you want regardless of class makes an opportunity to create a unique character which would be fun to play just in terms of the character itself. Like for example, I would actually prefer my Agent to use blasters instead of riffles because come on, she is an assassin-like stealthy piece of shadow and riffles are not the best choice for being stealthy.
  8. To be honest both Republic and Empire made me angry in this moment. The Commander is literally an emperor of a third major force in the galaxy who can easily strike them both down, no matter what path have you chosen in KOTET - being a peacemaker doesn't mean that you can't use the "last warning" tactics, - and it's profitable for both Empire and Republic to shut up and focus on themselves instead of trying to start another war. And what did they actually do? Of course, let's fall into paranoia and try to steal a superweapon under the Commander's nose! Idiots... And I am definitely on the "Give us the Get off my planet option" club because it's what my current main character (LS leaning neutral Jedi Knight) would do. But there were no such option in game and they made me to choose. And to be honest, my JK's decision to side with Reps was more emotional than rational, but not because of loyalty. I headcanon my JK as a Mandalorian Knight, so she is more a mandalorian than a Jedi at this point of the story, and Acina have pissed her off way more than Malcolm. From her point of view, Acina's actions are a sign of cowardice and weakness - the Empress literally starts the whole conflict and tries to steal the superweapon, but not because of trying to be a honourable conqueror who wants to make the Empire great again, but because she is afraid that not only the Republic, but also the Eternal Alliance would try to strike her down, but the moment she realizes that she have been caught red-handed she is like "Okay, my bad, but maybe we can make an alliance and strike those Pubs down?". She literally tries to bribe the Commander because of her paranoia, and shows that alliances means nothing for her and she would easily stab her own friend in the back if it would seem profitable for her. On the other hand, Republic is just trying to protect itself. Their main priority is to survive, and mostly they react on Empire trying to start the war again. They also haven't ever been pretending to be the Alliance's friends, but knowing the Republic from within, JK knows that while being definitely not saints, the Pubs tend to keep their promises. As the result, both Pubs and Imps show that while externally they seem to have changed, in their hearts they're still the same. And Pubs are more acceptable for my JK because 1) they're not cowardy traitors, and 2) their reason in this conflict is more honourable. Also as I've played, I have got a line where Lana says that joining the Imps is a more safe choice while Theron says that joining the Republic shows to people that the Alliance doesn't make deals with traitors. And in the safety vs honour choice, of course my "mando-jedi" would choose honour.
  9. I personally headcanon that Revan is non-binary/genderfluid while being biologically male. It perfectly explains both having children with Bastilla, who's a woman, while also leaving all this uncertainty about his actual gender in records about his life.
  10. I have a theory that the Force is actually more complex than just light and dark, and that both sides has at least two "subtypes" - Corrupting and Creating. They exist for both sides but usually Creating subtype is more associating with the Light side. At the same time, what is traditionally seen as Dark side is not Dark side as a whole, but instead it's Corrupting Dark side. That's why it changes appearance of Dark side users and sometimes even drives them mad. And most of the Sith have literally built a cult around Corrupting Dark side. On the other hand, there's also Creating Dark side. And it's actually way closer to what is written in the Sith code - it's using your passions and transforming it into your power but it doesn't automatically mean to use this power for doing cruel things, unlike Corrupting Dark side which entire existence depends on hate and anger. Lana Beniko is a potential example of a majorly Creating Dark side user, even if she doesn't realize that - she is definitely not a random-kill-just-because-I-can type of person, she pretty often appreciates when you show mercy towards some people, and in general while not being a saint, she is a caring and loyal person. Lord Scourge shows the same tendencies time to time, but he's a more difficult case to judge because of his blocked emotions. And if we take this theory into account, then both LS Sith characters and other Sith treating them as "hidden Jedi" seem pretty logical. For both Sith classes we start as a young acolyte, and young people often tend to be either too easily influenced by the opinion of older ones, or to rebel against them - especially if they see that a traditional way to do things makes no sense, besides of serving someone's sadistic tendencies, + Inq is a former slave so they have even less reasons to have a traditional maniacal behavior. So they may make Light side decisions just because they're not brainwashed by the older Sith yet, and keep to do the same when they realize that hey, it works. And this way, they accidentally discover not actually the Light side, but Creating Dark side. But most of the people around them don't know that it's a thing at all and mistake it for the Light side, while it's actually all about not using corruption but not the Dark side itself.
  11. Oh holy stars... I'm playing this chapters for the first time with a LS female JK and I have no idea whom I would choose... The thing is, I am a fan of very weird backgrounds, so in my headcanons my JK is actually a Mandalorian Knight - a Jedi who was semi-officially accepted into a Mandalorian clan as a mando'ad. She even wears this recently added Mandalorian armour set. Also she was studying Mandalorian culture way before her decision to switch sides, so she has a quite deep and mature understanding of Resol'nare and other aspects of mandalorian philosophy. She understands Mandalorian values deeply but at the same time she understands that there's no honour in being reckless and that sometimes it's better to retreat today, but win gloriously tomorrow. And that's where a moral dilemma comes in place. My JK threats Torian as her ad'ika - younger brother, - because he played a major role in her final establishment as a Mando'ad and because they've come through a lot together. And for a Mandalorian, family is a number 1 priority, alongside with honour. But she knows Torian's backstory and all this drama with his father being a traitor. Combination of Mandalorian view on reality and Jedi wisdom makes my JK make a conclusion that potentially, Torian is still traumatized by his father's betrayal and lost his way as a Mando in a particular sense. His decision to kill his own clan, when she is re-thinking this moment later, only proves this theory for her even more because she sees how Torian prioritizes honour over lives of his family, especially remembering Fett's complains about all this war against droids. So yeah, she deeply cares about Torian and deep inside she wants him to heal his wounds and really become a glorious clan leader in the future, and she also knows that he is very young and simply don't have as much experience as her. But on the other hand, she trusts his combat skills and tries to not protect him too much and not to be over-caring because she knows that Torian would not like it. And also all this years of being "just a Jedi" haven't gone without leaving impact on her personality, so an instinct or prioritizing civilians over soldiers is still here deep inside her brain. So on the one hand, we have an older sister who would kill an army to protect her brother. On the other hand, we have an instinct of prioritizing civs over soldiers, trusting Torian's skills and desire to not push alternative agenda on him. I... Literally have no idea what factors would affect my JK's decision more.
