  1. Have had this one two days in a row. It will eventually complete, but I usually need to run 6-7 heroics on the listed planets to get it marked as done, and even then it needs to be on different characters (it seems).
  2. I went into this assuming there was an in between, and was shocked there was not. You spend the previous two story lines working as a bridge between the factions to defeat a common enemy and set up an alliance, just to throw that out by taking sides? As is previously mentioned, they both sorta come off like the bad guys in the conversation leading up to the choice. It would have been nice to have a middle path to tell them they are both being unreasonable and work as the alliance, not as one of two opposing factions. However, Star Wars gonna Star Wars.
  3. For anyone else stuck who finds this. It took me 15 attempts on vet to beat it, and the solution was turning the cheese up to 11. For reference I was playing it on an AP PT, gear rating 284. Vette level 3. When you run in, quickly clear the group directly in front of you, then run out the door they came into. Put Vette on passive so she follows. Keep running across the courtyard and into the next building. In that next building there is hard corner. Hide behind that corner and let Vette heal you and herself back up. Then just wait. The mobs will follow and all come into this building, stopping in the doorway. Now you can AoE all of them together, then run back around the corner to break LoS and get healed up. I could not find any other way to do this, at least not with staying in the main room. The stacking DoTs from the droids wasnt possible for the companion to heal through (2k ticks being parsed x10 in the stack), and moreover I could not juggle passive mode in any ways which would keep her from running right into the largest group of droids and to get focused down. Once I tried the above LoS trick I got it first time.
  4. This last guy gets it. Just bubble / DCD up and run out of the room before he can kill you. Anyone who says this fight is easy in vet mode is being dishonest. I ran a parser on the fight after my 6th attempt. His normal hit ("strike") was hitting me for 40k, and that was the default attack. There is no way anyone is surviving hits like that.
  5. I am leveling my van assault, with the HIB and elemental damage buffs from the other trees in there for good measure. My survivability is way down, but its fun melting things. Once you get Elara to heal you up, dying isn't really an issue, and you progress much faster.
  6. This makes me sad. I LIKED my old smuggler hat with the leeku popping out. We have the option to hide head slots, why not leave it to player choice?
  7. I'm not sure how, because I didn't see any patch notes to indicate that I should be, but I certainly FEEL more powerful now than I did two days ago. I went from being a pretty good DPS to being a brutal one with my 5/5/21 (sub 50) build. I can't imagine this will stand for long, but I will enjoy it while it lasts.
  8. It only boosts your movement speed while in stealth. This picks you up from 'crawl' to 'close second' in terms of movement speed. With the full boost, you will still move about 5-10% slower than other classes when you are stealthed.
  9. Georg is right - any healing class can heal through any encounter. My operative is heal spec, and I have managed to keep the party alive through all content I have tried so far. The issue that gets glossed over in this statement is the relative degree of difficulty in doing so. I can heal through an operation, but a sorc can heal through it easier, add more to the DPS at the same time, and more utility to the party.
  10. Companions seem to be an issue, as do other members of your party. I often pop my CS, which takes me out of combat when aggro'ed. But on occasion other members of my party are still triggered to the fight, which ends up pulling me back in. I also wonder if DoT's I place of the mobs, or ones my companion places, are not also forcing me back into combat. I agree with the OP, if maybe not in so blanketed a manner. I have a multitude of issues with CS in PvE, where I evade and pop the the ability with a clean debuff bar, but then a second later find myself back in combat and popped out of stealth.
  11. Yeah, honestly the distance restrictions from the main player and the short timer means its best used for skipping trash when running a heroic or hardmode, to save time.
  12. Worth adding on to this thread, even through the basics have been covered. I leveled concealment, and recently respec'ed to a 31 point healer to help with operations. -Make companion stealth levels equal player stealth levels. Too often I can sneak past mobs to get in place for a hidden strike, but my companion gets spotted and attacked. -Increase operative survivability slightly to accommodate for our hit to DPS. Once I burn my alpha strikes, I am a sitting duck in most cases. This was fine when my alpha strikes took down a single target fast, but that is no longer true. I would suggest increasing the duration of evasion to base 4 seconds, and update an ability somewhere in the shared lethality tree to up that time to 5 seconds. Make shield probe more reliable, like the BH shield where it mitigates a flat and known % of all incoming damage. -Cloaking screens should grant me immunity from removal from stealth for it's 10 second duration. Right now using cloaking screen in a fight results in the player getting popped back out immediately in most cases, as any damage taken negates it. So if you use it in an AoE pit, near any targetless knockback effects, or when you have a DoT on you, it becomes useless. Using toxic scan + evasion first helps, but I don't feel that it should be a requirement. It would be preferred if popping cloaking screen would allow me remain in stealth regardless of damage taken for 10 second, or until I take another action that would otherwise remove me from stealth. -Allow shield probe to be used on other players. Only seems fair since sorcs can bubble a tank that the operative should also be able to apply their shield probe on another target, letting them take the damage reduction. In addition, the Med Shield ability should apply its heal bonuses to whomever has the shield on them. -Speed boost when stealthed. The infiltrator skill in concealment should boost our speed when stealthed to match that of other players, so we can remain in stealth and keep up. As well, an ability on a CD that granted up 2 - 3 seconds of +20% additional speed would help us get into position faster during flashpoints and operations. Too often fights start with ranged attacking from 30m, PTs and warriors leaping in, and sins using their force speed to charge in. Who is left running to catch up? Poor old operatives, who arrive just in time for the fight to be over. -Better energy recovery for medic operatives. It's a nightmare keeping your energy up when healing, especially compared to a sorc, who is already healing for more. Perhaps Patient Studies allows all ticks of DS to recover one energy? In the end that's still not a lot (3 extra points over three seconds) added to a heal which is sadly weak. -Increase the healing of our 31 points heal, RN, or give it a secondary effect like an armor buff. Thats a lot of points I need to spend for a weak HoT with a short range. -Front load the consumption of TA. Too often I will try to use an ability that consumes TA and has a cast time, just to have my TA expire 90% of the way through a cast.
  13. This explains a lot. People kept telling me about darting NPCs on the way past, and not getting aggro. I ALWAYS got attacked and stuck in combat. After a respec, it stopped happening, and yes, I did drop sedatives, now that you mention it. I love the idea of this ability, and it helps a single target DPSers to help survive fights where a silver or gold in thrown in, but not if it puts us at a disadvantage for stealth.
  14. Posting for a friend who can't get into the forums either (in addition to the game). Just picked it up today to start. SWTOR Forum Name: Twiistaa Email: (email removed)
