  1. I never said they do. I was explaining why I'm here for the people who obsess about the endgame and PVP. There are, however, a lot of mechanics attached to the rather extensive class storylines in the 1-50 game.
  2. I don't care about getting the best numbers and maximizing my performance. Going on some uber long raid to get some enhancement that will provide an extra .05% DPS means nothing to me. I'm one of those wacky players that stays on Ebon Hawk and Bergeron because they're RP servers. NOT because they have high populations. I've been enjoying myself in story and setting immersion and RPing with others. And now my experience is being changed to match YOUR playstyle.
  3. I've played the game since CoH was killed and I NEVER heard about this "rotation" garbage until like 2 months ago. And that was from someone complaining that he didn't like the concept either. I hear talk of the best gear all the time. And talk of which trees to focus on even more than that. What bugs me is that I'm now being forced to adjust my casual, PVE centered, don't care about endgame or PVP playstyle to the "standards" set by min/maxers who are arguably only in this game FOR the endgame.
  4. So if I have this right, they're taking out the skill tree system because having so many options for what skills to pick each time to you gain a level is a bad thing. Partially due to most min/max players picking flavor of the month or optimized/hybrid builds that the dev's never anticipated and don't like developing content for? But they still want players to have customizable characters. Because there's so much variety in end-game builds. So with this discipline system, advanced class leveling will be basically turned into a railshooter system where you are given most powers in your discipline automatically, with a fraction of the options you previously had? And now another MMO is getting a massive overhaul in the name of balancing the classes against each other. Bravo PVPers, you've done it again.
  5. Fair enough. My connection speed is so wonky sometimes I'm almost always last to the door. Seems that folks micromanage while I'm loading. *shrug*
  6. Only ever happened once. At some random point on Coruscant I sent Kira to sell junk. In response, I got "Eat lightsaber, jerk!" May have been posted before, more for the awesome delivery. FemBH "Look what I found in the swaaaamp!" Paraphrasing, but something like "I love assassinating assassins. They're always so surprised." Also a sequence with Agents that I find hilarious. Keeper tells you take Kaliyo with you, but to be careful because she has a habit of betraying her employers. If you try to get Keeper to clarify, his response is basically a comically rushed "We'll discuss that later 'kaythanksgottagobai! *click*" that ends the cutscene.
  7. Reminds me of a nightmare PUG FP I was on. I was playing a DPS Sorc, but I'll off-heal if need. However, the rest of the group was -a Mara who thought he was a tank and never waited for anyone or anything or remembered what he was told for longer than 30 seconds. -a Jugg "tank" that lagged behind the whole time. -a Merc marked as a healer. But he never healed. As for what irritates me. -Players who use groupfinder for Black Talon but want a social run, and then rant that people aren't spacebarring. (Dunno if people do the same thing with Esslsleleses. Don't play Pubside much.) -You're on a FP. You have jet boots or an early speeder. There is at least 1 other player in the group that has neither. Yet you rocket ahead to the door. And wait. And wait. And wait for the player(s) that don't have something to increase their movement speeds. Why? -Players who've used groupfinder for a FP. And then they proceed to throw a fit that the other players are either not specced or playing up to their uber min/maxed standards. -Non-tanks who play like berserkers and then whine that the healer sucks because they keep dying.
  8. So just to make sure I have this right, once I hit max rank in Dark, the next 10 DS points would reduce my current 5 LS points to 0?
  9. I was told a while back that when you hit rank V in one extreme of alignment points, your lesser alignment points are reset to 0. For example, say you're at Dark IV and only need 25 points for rank V, and you have 250 Lightside points. So when you hit rank V, your Lightside Rank will be reset/wiped to 0. Is this how it works? I've asked around in Genchat and gotten multiple different answers. I ask this because I goofed on a lowbie Sorc with Diplomacy. The character is meant to be pure Darkside, and If I'm going to be stuck with an accidental 5 Lightside points, I'm deleting the character. >.<
  10. I jokingly stick to a claim that girls don't play MMOs, it's a marketing gimmick created by video game companies. Remaining in denial about it helps me keep my sanity. I'm fairly confident that one can tell if a player is male or female after 1 or 2 decent RP sessions.
  11. So I'm wondering, if you let Morr live on Tython and accept his knowledge to get a Dark Jedi lightsabre, does Morr ever show up again? I loved the option, but I will be increasingly less enthusiastic about it he either never shows up again or doesn't come back until like the 30's or 40's.
  12. Wait, what?! You're -given- a Darth name ingame? That's... silly. I mean I gather they wouldn't give Sith a free re-name at 50, but still, bleh. This is also why I'm not that crazy about the Legacy system. I make my Sith around being Darths, and name them their Darth names. And there are no Darths with last names.
