  1. Aside from the smuggler one (only class I really like capes on is my SW) all of those are pretty great. Especially the Consular and Inquisitor ones.
  2. Meh, this feels like a cop out to me. None of the companions have much more depth than just adding flavor to the story, a handful of conversations over the vanilla leveling zones to round things out. None of the companions have been developed to the point that they are going to lose some vital characterization by being made same sex romance options. A little fan service here would be a good, and years over due, thing.
  3. I didn't "hate it", it just didn't feel very Star Wars to me. You could have plopped that same story down in the middle of any sci-fi series and it wouldn't have changed. Put it into Mass Effect replace 'the force' with biotics and the story wouldn't have changed at all. Some of it was just silly. I didn't care for how OP the characters were, the way they effortlessly wiped out the Republic and Empire forces and eliminated the Dark Council, etc. all just made it feel like what was even the point of the Star Wars universe in relation to the story? Why would Valkorian ever even have bothered with us considering how 'great' his EE is? Felt like some bad fanfic where the writer has his self inserts beat up on a serie's powerful established characters just for the sake of making his own feel "cool" and "awesome" and "edgy". Just felt silly to me to have the whole EE and its characters sooooo much better than everything else in Star Wars. I'm glad they are ending it and getting back to basics with the Republic/Empire Jedi/Sith conflicts. To me that is what makes Star Wars and hopefully will bring the game back to what it is supposed to be. Glad we can put this whole thing behind us now.
  4. I agree, though some of the OP's points could be taken into consideration for improvements. TOR isn't a bad game, it just needs a proper development budget to let them fix the problems with the game. I played the game at release and left soon after and coming back a few weeks ago is the first I've touched the game since. It amazes me how few problems the game had at launch have actually been addressed. I assume it comes down to EA just pulling all the dev budget after the rocky start and making the game sustain itself off Cartel Market profits. Its a shame, the game has potential but without proper backing it will never be realized. If EA funded a "rebuild" where the game could be fixed up properly and have a second "launch" with an updated game I think TOR could still become a money maker for them without need of relying on a cash shop. This is EA though, so of course that won't happen. Nice to dream though.
  5. Honestly I just want an option to put my hood down on my Jedi/Sith characters. How we don't have this already after 6 years is truly baffling. Why is this still a problem 6 years later?
  6. Well, that same argument could be made for them to never add anything new ever again. Setting some flags and adding a few lines of edited dialogue seems rather low risk though compared to adding new xpacs, operations, etc., etc. /shrug
  7. Then don't tag them as a friend, or set your status to "do not disturb", or just say no. Seriously, this is a great feature for helping people keep in touch with friends in game. Me and a few others came here on a break from WoW and we have to still use the WoW launcher to know when each other are online and even voice chat while playing TOR. Its really a great feature to have. I was honestly shocked when I found out TOR still uses such an archaic friends system here.
  8. At the time (at and during the first few months after launch) I didn't think that. Coming back though 6 years later and it still isn't fixed? Its either fear of backlash or outright disdain for those that want the content added. 6 years. I get at release they kinda had a whole pile of other issues they were trying to address and this got put on the back burner, but 6 years? If they didn't have the money for it they could have just had some intern edit the sounds files on his lunch breaks and still had it done long before now. 6 years, and still no progress at all has been made. That is just... pathetic.
  9. As someone returning to TOR for the first time since release, its pretty bad this is still a problem. Still no same sex companions for the first 60 levels. Bad enough the devs totally dropped the ball on this at release, even worse that they haven't corrected their mistake over the years. Adjusting or recording a few new lines of dialogue for the companions to be ready for a same sex PC wouldn't take all that much work. Apparently 6 years still isn't enough time for them to fix that. Really shows how little they care about LGBT issues even today.
  10. How is this not a thing yet? Having to add each character of each friend to each of my characters to know who is online when is, well, silly. I'm sure people get tired of hearing it around here, but WoW's Battlenet Friends system is great, lets me know when my friends are online without a lot of messing around or tedious friends list management. Why don't we have this yet?
