No it hasn't, I've been in & out of the game a lot since the start and we had times where there was none, then DK chat was seen as a safe place to show that you need to be sectioned, and it stayed there, poping up in fleet from time to time, but this is just too much. It's making Gen chat useless .... in an MMO ??

Agreed, but if they allow new players to get treated like that, there is only one direction the game can go

I see what you are saying and agree with most of it, but I am not holding my Sub hostage, I'm stating a fact. I know well that long time players are never listened to by the dev team. I am not enjoying the game when I can't use Gen chat to help people out, join groups etc, so I will be healing myself, not hurting, by deciding not to stop my sub and keeping my cash. I'll probably end up searching for another beta test MMO to join

Yes, this annoys me, but I'm more worried about players leaving the game before they even finish the starter planets, it's so toxic. Not saying it's Steam, just saying that it has been around 6 weeks since DK style chat leaked out into all chat. I do the same as you, and also have all my character chats set up to show no Gen chat. If people come to play SWTOR, they should not have to have a Gen chat full of toxic chat from inbreeds, if I want that I can go to reddit

It's going on nearly 6 weeks now since chat has been continuously polluted with people trying to outgross each other. I was on Tython this week for conquest, a new players asked a question, he/she received 4 or 5 replies that mentioned his sister, mother & baras, when he/she complained, they doubled down and kept it up until they were happy. This is happening on more & more chats. Yes, I can ignore, edit a channel etc, but I'm talking about the life of the game, it's driving new players away and attracting more psychologically damaged "children". ANYONE that likes DK style chat need to get accessed by a psychiatrist. I'm a sub and I will be talking with my wallet if it does not change, or a proposed change is not announced.

Returning player, played nearly 2 years, so not a snowflake. In the beginning, post beta, chat was fine, the odd toxic bomb in chat ... then DK chat started, which has bee getting worse over time. Solution, /ignore the players or click the "Other" tab, but now you don't get Guild chat. In the last 2 weeks, every planet I have been on has toxic chat, ranging from incest, gay bashing, *******ity and what hitler was right ... ***? I now land on a planet & turn off chat, so no social aspect whatsoever anymore. A banning system has to be introduced, where a reported post is reviewed and the offender banned.
