  1. Hi! I had som awful lagspikes this spring/early summer. Been good since but this week it started again. I have a screenshot from Pingplotter here and it looks like the one I hade earlier this year with a lot of errors and packet losses from step 8-13. This should, if I understand correcty, rule out that it is a local problem? It's somewhere after my isp? https://i.imgur.com/q6g0aXd.png
  2. I also like the commas, saves a lot of time overlooking all the digits But there are som changes I do not like in GTN, probably unintentionally: - Enter.key does not always choose Yes in the Do you want ti buy pop-up, I use that a lot. - You cant mark the previous entered search text without first clicking in the search field. No big things but annoying for me who gdoes a lot of GTN browsing. I should make a bug report on all things that are weired on GTN since they tried ti fix the sorting issue
  3. That I should have thought of myself, thanks I only use game forums to get or trying to give help, but I understand what you are saying, way to often the tone gets a bit too much for me. When playing MMOs or other online games like CS:GO i keep mostly to myself, there is way to much bad vibes way too often. Now CS:GO is probably a bad example because I can't think of a worse chatculture than that. Still I do enjoy reading the good parts like when someone explains their love for Tatooine
  4. I get this issue from time to time, not so much during this summer (or I don't play as much) as I did this spring which was terrible from time to time. Today I've hade some issues and even one disconnect due to timeout. Using pingplotter I could trace the issue to the last 2-4 hops before the final server. Not sure if they are within EAs domain or not. The thing that I think make some user upset is the way that your issue always gets resolved by the support with one suggestion from them and no way for you to reply if it worked or not, I think a good support should follow an issue for longer than that. Ot course there are quite a few that have issues locally but we are also some that cannot do anything to solve the issues. For me I just leave the game for some days and hope it will be fixed by itself. And SWTOR is the only game I have issues with, no other online games at all. Still the game is to good to not play
  5. There are prople playing at all three Emperor's Grace where I am so it seems to be working niceley here. Also on DM <edit: changed instance and there was not as good
  6. Thanks, that sounds well worth it. And thanks for the backup reminder, I always says that to other but kind of forget myself sometime Especially for online games where it's easy to think everytihig is saved somewhere else.
  7. I was to lazy to do that today but will do it next time. What happens when there is a new patch, do you manually download it without bitraider or how does it work?
  8. I should have kept quiet, now I just got the issue. The fix for my wife did not help me, neither did the launcher-repair utility. Well I guess a day without playing could be good and perhaps better luck tomorrow. <Edit: As seen in another thread it actually helps just to reboot the computer for me and leaving the folders as they are. Strange issue this but I'm glad I got the game running. So try simple reboot or shutdown/start and it might work for you too. Som say it works 50% so try twice
  9. Hi! My wife had this issue twice yesterday, both time solved by deleting the BR-folders as described in various places. I think this is the third time it happens for her but never for me. A bit annoying but when the fix works it does not take to much time, still seems quite a common issue so it would be nice if it's fixed. What is the negatives with the non BR-issue if the game except from needing to reinstall the game?
  10. But is it really supposed to be like this that almost everything you do gives you conquest points? I've completed the conquest with my lvl 75 Sorcerer without leaving my stronghold in less than 30 min. My lvl 68 Gunslinger completed it's conquest in less than an hour with one bounty mission and the rest just some regular playing and crafting. It feels like there is a miss somewhere.
  11. Just a little update from me that my lag spikes are gone for now. So not ignoring just happy for now I did not do any changes at my end
  12. Thanks again! Yes around 60 ms is our normal and what we have most of the day and gotten used to 100-500 from time to time now and theese extreme spikes comes a little now and then. Haven't really figured out if it is some pattern yet. We are not getting the same ip to the server when one of us gets the problems, I guess that's why we don't have the issue at the same time. Sometime we both have the issue and then when we check we are on the same server (I think, we don't always check) For the setup, we live in a house so one switch on each floor and we both sit on the same last switch both wired and same subnet. There is a lot of other stuff connected both wireless and wired in our house so maybe I should take a look at that and see if there can be any issues indoor. I have not enabled QoS in my router, is that something I should try? Bandwith is 250/250 and I haven't noticed any issues with that otherwise.
  13. Thanks for taking the time, especially when you are not feeling well. And I have no complaints on the terminology I really do appreciate this, even if it will not fix my problem I've already learned a lot. Right now there are no read lines but I post an error picture and as you predicted the errors are mostly on the masked servers. https://imgur.com/a/diVP7iz I love the game so I will really want to get this working smoothly againg even if the problem is not all the time I friend who I also talked to noticed that I do not have a public IP (I think is the right term) can that make any difference? My ISP offers public IPs so I can order it if it will make any difference I get back as soon as I have more info. A little background info: Never had any notable issues before february or march this year, didn't even know there was a server lag meter in the game and had to ask a friend. We are two people on the same network and we rarely have the issue at the same time, it's almost only one of us. No other issues noted on our network, not even the most sensitive onlinesystem I have at work that disconnects at any given chance is having issues. Setup at home: Computer -> Netgear Gigabit Switch -> Ubiquiti gigabit switch -> Asus Router -> Media converter -> Internet via fibre <edit: Pingplotter had been running all day when taking the screenshot, there where issues in the morning (lunchtime here now) >
