  1. This is a common problem. The key is: when you get a mission that says “travel to…”, or “use your ship to…”, you have to travel there the old fashioned way, by your ship. Otherwise it doesn’t trigger.
  2. Sorry, I'm on Star Forge. Maybe post to your server forum. Or join a guild. Or ask on Fleet chat. Good luck!
  3. Sounds like the Sniper class icon. Preferences > Nameplates > Always Show Class Symbol (de-select)
  4. The general consensus is yes, that is the case. I'm pretty sure you will get it, as long as you are subbed on Feb 27. But, play it safe: try the link anyway. No harm in trying. If it says ineligible, not to worry, you'll still get the armor and speeder (around Mar 1 or 2).
  5. You may be out of luck, but ... Maybe it'll end out working anyway, since all of the rewards aren't granted till Mar 1 or 2 (at least that's the way it seems to be worded, and I haven't seen anyone say they've seen the 30-days granted yet). Also, the way the 30-day part is worded, it does appear that you would have had to RAF-link it to someone before you made the account. Did you do so? Or you can try to plead your case through either in-game customer service ticket, or a customer service phone call. This sounds more like the phone call kind of thing. I'm not optimistic about either one of those, but worth a try if all else fails. Good luck!
  6. Sorry, I tried to emulate, but I already have it set up, and if I click it, it assumes I want to change them and asks me to enter a one-time code. I just don't want to risk going any further. So... 1) Here's the link to the EA page on how to set up: https://help.ea.com/en-sg/help/star-wars/star-wars-the-old-republic/swtor-security-key-faqs/ 2) You may try "General Discussion" forum. There's more people who visit there. And if you get Owen Brooks' attention, he is usually extremely helpful. 3) Make sure Flash is enabled? Try a different browser? (yeah, I'm reaching) 4) If it isn't working for you, give customer support a call. This is the kind of stuff they can usually address. Good luck!
  7. Yes. The Masters Datacron allows that. The other two character boosts (to 60 and 65) do not.
  8. BTW, this morning I heard the host of "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me" (an awesome NPR comic-quiz show) use the term "meatbag" in reference to Boston Dynamics robots that can open a door. I wasn't aware that HK-47 & KOTOR had made it into pop culture! https://www.npr.org/podcasts/344098539/wait-wait-don-t-tell-me Feb 17, David Duchovny podcast 9:00 mark
  9. Seeing your post in General Discussion, are you sure you want to be asking these questions? OK, being serious... Before SWTOR, there was KOTOR (Knights of the Old Republic). A GREAT original XBOX game (and now compatible with the XBOX ONE!). There's also a PC version you can often pick up for a couple of bucks (steam). Followed by KOTOR II, well loved here, but it has serious shortcomings. The droid is a character in it. As is "the guy in a mask". I'd say even now: stop playing SWTOR and pick up KOTOR. It's that good. And the DNA is so embedded in SWTOR. And if you choose not to, I' guess the wookieepedia synopsis is better than nothing: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Star_Wars:_Knights_of_the_Old_Republic Then I'd recommend reading Revan, and Deceived (two The Old Republic novels done as tie-in's to this game).
  10. You are not going to get an answer from the developers, and all you'll get from us is speculation. I'm guessing your "I'm thinking of buying thins", is spend real money to buy CC to spend on "things"? And worried that it shuts down so those items aren't around long? Always a risk, but a small one I think. Personally, I would never spend real money for microtransactions, but that's me.
  11. Yes, droid on fleet, the area between outer rings. Two droids, one on each side (seeker, macrobinocs). But please note (unless they changed this and/or my recall is lacking): You have to do the entire series of macrobinocular missions first, and the last two are H4's. The first can be solo'd, though it is annoying. The second still requires a group to complete due to a puzzle. I have one toon that got stuck there. So you'll have to ask around (or better, guildies) for help.
  12. LOL, you are the only one who caught that key point!** (It's also in the link I posted above) ** actually, for the speeder & armor, you probably do not need to use the code. But I'd do so anyway to play it safe (and the off chance that present subs also get the 30-days). Still have to wait till Mar 1 though.
  13. Here's the link. Terms & conditions are at the bottom. But be warned: they aren't very clear. Thus lots of threads speculating on who gets what, when. But the key one, as stated by others, is that you won't see anything till Mar 1.
  14. As others have mentioned, the T&C’s imply you will NOT get the 30-days, as it is only for “inactive” (unsubbed) for >90 days. But SWTOR promos are notorious for ambiguity and inaccuracies. Small window of hope: they also state all rewards are given on Mar 1. I have NOT seen anyone report the extra 30 days, so I assume that means they are also granted on Mar 1. So maybe a whole bunch of subs will be surprised (but don’t count on it). I actually have three(!) accounts, 2 presently unsubbed (both over 90 days). This weekend, I plan to RAF link, use the code, and actually sub one of them. I’ll report back what I see. But again, likely nothing till Mar 1 (too late for others to act on).
  15. First: welcome! Second: There’s a “New Player Help” forum devoted to your types of Q’s. It’s okay to post here too, but that one is dedicated for this. Third: You’ve already received good answers on all. I’ll just add a little extra: a. You got the info. What happened is you were in a group flashpoint. And you hit the 4 character limit so your companion got dismissed. b. Also a vendor on fleet. Also check GTN (the in-game auction house). Do NOT waste your cartel coins on a mount!! Basically, you can find a serviceable one for 8K credits. But people will spend millions for a fancy one they like. c. What he said. On your map, you can select “trainer” button to highlight. Most people nowadays have a personal holotrainer, so can avoid this hassle. You’ll see those occasionally appear on your map (the “^” symbol) or within sight (a blue hologram NPC). You can always piggyback on theirs. d. You get ‘em all automatically as a sub. And you keep them all if you unsub (Section-X is all about you lose). e. You got their “aggro”. The basic triad of any MMO (or most RPG’s) is DPS/Tank/Healer. Tank is supposed to gather up the “aggro” (enemy aggression, i.e. attention). DPS’s bang away, and healer keeps Tank (then others) alive. But they changed the lower mode flashpoints so that you can use any combo. So you might not have had a Tank. You probably used an AOE (area of effect) attack. So the DPS got the aggro of one mob each, and then your AOE got the aggro of all the others it hit. f. Yes you can! One for each class, made universal after chapter 2. So once you get past chapter 2 on your BH, you would get that buff on all your alts (other toons). Other faction has “mirror” characters (here, Trooper) with same buff (except name), so you don’t need to get that one as well.
  16. It's a fair question. Somehow, SWTOR always manages to come up with convoluted rules and conditions to these promos (with the inevitable confusion and griping). I haven't seen any testimonials either which way (except yours). One possible hope is that the promo T&C's state: So you might not know until then. Unless someone says they successfully got the 30-days added before then (which would imply you are inelligible). If you are planning on re-subbing anyway, I'd do it before Feb 27, and give the code another try.
  17. I used all the following late last year, maybe some are still active: NYCANTINA17 NYCANTINA16 SWCELEBRATION17 SWCANTINA17
  18. OP, what everyone else said. I'll add: 1) If you now decided it was a mistake to use your boost, you may be able to delete it and recover the boost token. But, that is only the case if you haven't completed a mission (including crafting) or leveled up yet (maybe some other condition as well?).. If that is the case... Go back tot he login screen, make sure the correct character is selected, click the DELETE button. You should get a confirmation that if you delete, your boost will be returned. If you do NOT get this (or it says it will be consumed), DON'T CONFIRM! 2) Even if now stuck with the boosted character, I strongly, strongly recommend you put him/her aside for now. Make a new character, and play that one from the start of their story.
  19. Premium = Subscriber. Unless you bought some special deal*, "when my month's up" = "last day of my subscription". And the way it typically works is that you get the 500CC right at the start of each month of subscription (immediate to within a couple of days). So it sounds like your sub is about to expire and that's that. Check your account page to see how many days you have left. * some deals, like the Amazon bundle, give you 60-day or 90-day, and in addition to the CC that come from each month of that, they often have a bonus # as well.
  20. Are they not available from the Companions window? Default key is "N", or mouse to the interface icons at the top and find the companions one.
  21. Yeah, I much prefer the Heroics gear you get that are level-based. Example: "Thermal" (Hoth) gear you get only when you are levels 38-41. These sets were one of the nicer additions to the game. When I start a toon, I save a lot of the early gear, including from starter planet, for Outfit Designer stamping. Presumably, you miss all that when you start with a Master's Datacron.
  22. Welcome! (didn't want you to feel lonely or that we are unfriendly )
  23. Is there some post, or site, that shows when the various SWTOR days officially start (reset)? I can think of a few: Dailies - Most (all?) reset daily 1200 hrs (noon) GMT Weeklies - reset Tuesday 1200 hrs GMT But response in New Player forum wrote that the Activities daily bonus 7-day randomization schedule resets on Monday. Space Missions - there are two (don't know if this is a glitch, but it has been this way for years)! Sunday 1200 GMT Monday 1200 GMT The one I'm really curious about is: when does a sub day start?. Often see the inevitable "just subbed, but says 29 days remaining" posts. Oddly, if I return to account same day following week, it says "23 days" instead of 22. It doesn't appear to be at 1200 GMT (same #days listed both before and after). So, what does it go with? And ... Server patch - whenever they manage to get their act together Others??
  24. A friend clued me into this a long time ago, and I thought it might be helpful for newer JK Guardian (and Warrior Jugg) players: Heroic Utility "Preparation" (Seething Hatred for Juggs) "When you exit combat, the cooldown of Combat Leap, Force Focus, and Saber Throw are reduced by 100%" You will not see this in most guides since it is of little utility for Ops. But it is absolutely fantastic for solo PvE, especially Heroics. It reduces cooldown to zero on these powers, so you can quickly go from mob to mob. Throw---> Leap-->(+6 Focus) --> high DPS abilities. Rinse & repeat. Great time-saver.
