Which has the most powerful classes, Alliance or Imperial?
StockThorax replied to bcasner's topic in General Discussion
Literally every class spec has a mirror class spec that does the same thing. That said my main has always been lightning sorc because the graphics for the telekinesis consular using the same tactical are garbage AF stormwatch means a little headache animation... not likely... judgement of god striking you in the dome seven times a second YES -
They don't get to choose its like complainng to a droid about the lack of meatspace story
-
holy crap there are so many flirt options that end up in nothing im legit turning into a never swtor because of this nonsense end of character lack of story throwing every possible person into a bowl of garbage doesnt make the game choices LESS GARBAGE

I'm about to play my first dark side character through mek sha. If I choose to take the Dar'Manda side and kill Veek, does that turn Harido Wald from yellow to red in the future? I have only played Pub side toons through here where I'm not jazzed about being someone's hired assassin.

The quest reward gear "Onderonian" set from onslaught also has built in amps on armor shells... significantly less expensive to reroll, if you're looking for cheap crafting amp shells... and it's legacy bound, and you get one set for every character you run through onslaught. The "Sha'Tek" branded armor set is moddable but starts at 20k to reroll an amplifier. Onderonian set starts at 5k. You'll get a bunch of Sha'Tek from all sources, but because it's so expensive to reroll it's better to just RE the ones that aren't useful for jawa scrap. Both Sha'Tek and Onderonian shells have mostly the crafting amplifiers. Amplified Champion is the only armor set shells with combat amplifiers.

Also, that holographic statue on fleet and the capital cities gives you a quest to "purchase and visit a stronghold" - that quest can be done on every new character, and rewards you with a few decorations including a cargo bay and a mailbox. You don't need to buy a new SH for each toon, just visit one you already own and walk a few paces. Edit: nope I was wrong, you get a legacy storage not a personal one.

Be aware that stealthing through the story will get you past chapter three at a moderate level disadvantage, doing only the class story missions. You'll finish around level 50 where if you were forced to fight through, you'd be closer to 60. In my playthroughs I had to do planetary missions on hoth and belsavis to catch up and still ended chapter 3 under-leveled.

RSA verified keyfobs are not supposed to work if you tamper with them, that includes changing the battery. I don't know why people are trying to. The whole point of these things is security. It's not secure if you can open it.

Can you guys change the XP boost reward you get from Conquest under level 75 from the class mission boost to a normal experience boost just like the planetary missions reward you? The red class mission xp boost is limited at every level since it only works on class quest experience, and useless past chapter 3... because none of the quests after completing the main story are considered "class quests" except one on Rishi for like 4 of 8 classes. It's like "Yay! I finished my conquest goal!" and "Oh, well that's a worthless reward."

Ossus Imperial h2 heroic Consume the Light is bugged
StockThorax replied to Darittha's topic in Bug Reports
Yeah so this is still bugged. Second Jedi Master dies, the third ones map marker gets removed and the second one doesn't count even though he's dead. -
How to get starship for stronghold
StockThorax replied to deatheatherrrrrr's topic in Galactic Strongholds
These are amazing, thanks - I didn't even know they existed. -
That's the best looking player ship in the game though. Are you sure you didn't mean the Trooper's lopsided hammer with a sideways engine?

They do stack, they add together. But with the "+10 critical Artifice" nobody really knows what an extra 90 artifice means. The proof is much easier with the time efficiency amplifiers, you can see that indeed, a diplomacy mission takes 20% less time if you have 20% total efficiency stacked up
-
Because the other amps that are worded as reducing "damage taken" or increasing "damage dealt," I assume it means healing casted by the user - the opposite would be worded as "healing received."

Not exactly a cheat sheet, but swtorista has a page with thorough tables and vulkk has a page with lists: the bonuses you're asking about are called "amplifiers" and appear on mods, armorings and armor shells/accessories. https://swtorista.com/articles/what-are-amplifiers-in-swtor/ https://vulkk.com/2019/10/25/swtor-6-0-guide-to-amplifiers/

If you squint your eyes and put the cartel bazaar outfit on her, Kira is pretty similar

It requires a starship hook https://tord.mmo-fashion.com/fixer-upper-galactic-starfighter/
-
I could be mistaken but I don't think the DK and Coruscant apartments have starship hooks. Edit: Yeah I just checked, the hook on the landing pad is for a "Centerpiece" it's not big enough for a starship decoration. The Nar Shadaa Sky palace is probably the cheapest stronghold with a starship hook.

I've never actually tested numbers but I have had a full cybertech critical/efficiency set for months. If I wear the set, I get around 50% more crafted things. For example, I'll queue up 40 fibrolite cyber processor and consistently get 58-62. All level 50 companions at this point. If I forget to wear the armor set with the cybertech buffs, I consistently get 50-53. That's anecdotal, but it's enough to have convinced me... they work. When people tell me they don't work I dont even bother arguing... just try it for yourself you will see the difference.

I seriously can't believe guild leaders do not receive an automated in-game email breakdown of each member's contributions at the end of each week's conquest event. Seems like a massive QoL improvement and a simple change

Nar Shardar STRONGHOLD: Minor but greatly needed change.
StockThorax replied to Strathkin's topic in Suggestion Box
I think it's just unfamiliarity with strongholds. Every one of them has an elevator button or exit terminal with the same options. Now that you know where it is you don't need someone to tell you it's there. I mean, if it were a consistent problem that's one thing. But it's something you only need to find out once. -
I'd like to see that too, with a heavier emphasis on bosses this time. The Feast of Prosperity event saw three straight weeks of people grouping for world bosses. I'd like to see the same level of enthusiasm for DvL bosses - which means there need to be good rewards for beating them. Currently they drop a single token each and only if the group has 16 players.

Stim longevity on mods seems to be the best credit saver given the cost of crafted consumables. I tend to go for pvp/flashpoint/ops rewards on armor shells for the extra renown points (more tech fragments over time). I keep separate sets for crafting and gathering professions.
