  1. Not to be an arse, but either you're not doing all that or you're not being healed at all. I don't have any problems in 4 person hard modes or EV 8 person hard mode.
  2. Not much you can do with end game itemization right now. Just have to roll with it until we can transfer set bonuses and stuff like that with mods.
  3. If you're using taunts regularly and can't hold well on a single target I think there's a problem. They shouldn't be able to rip it off you; and I wear full endurance gear. Shock and Wither are feated for +hate in Darkness beyond the +50% you get from Dark Charge. It should be enough.
  4. No one else was getting 1K+ plus regularly last night? I'm 31/0/10, ~1,100 willpower and 15% crit with Wither feated out, but I was getting a lot more than that, on a consistent basis.
  5. I have found that I have to be the first person to hit the tougher mobs and bosses or there will be a problem. Usually a shock, wither, discharge, shock will lock him up and allow me to hold off until the next wither or I'll have to throw in a taunt by then. With taunts plus shock/wither on a single target? I don't think any string of crits will pull it off you.
  6. I only ran the new FP on normal then hard last night. Didn't get into a match, but I will when I get home today.
  7. You will tank just as good. Shields and defense still repel lots of ranged and mele attacks (even a few in PvP). Additionally, you can EAT a force or tech attack every 45 seconds on bosses which is awesome and many of the other force and tech attacks can be interrupted. Got to familiarize yourself, especially in PvP, with which attacks do which type of damage so you make sure to interrupt force/tech, let ranged/mele go by, and then eat the biggest force/tech with shroud.
  8. I'm not entirely sure because there was a lot going on. I noticed the lowest I was hitting for was about 850, although it's tough to sort out all the numbers flying up with your active spells, passive stuff like dark charge damage/heals, harnessed dark heal numbers, and team mate heals.
  9. No you will not get those numbers, but they don't get your defense and shield numbers. I have a mix of full Columi, Rakata, and Tionese and my armor is 40%, def 23%, shield 40%, absorption 47%.

So I've got a few thoughts after tanking All the FP Hard modes except D7 and even a couple HM bosses in EV. 1) The defensive/shield ratings in the first post aren't all that practical because our end game itemization focuses heavily on Absorption rating and very little on defense or even shield rating. I have a full mix of Tionese, Columi, and Rakata gear but my percentages are something like 23/20/46 for Def/Sh/Ab and 23/40/46 with Dark Ward. Those ratings translate to to a ratio something like 1:2:2.5 with 20K health. It will be interesting to see if they lock the mods/enhancements on other classes end game armor such that we could grab heavy and medium pieces with better itemization for our abilities and pop them in our pieces. 2) Yesterday's buffs were awesome. They put 50/30 end/power on our relics, the self heal from Dark Charge is now killer, and Wither actually drops some hate these days in addition to snaring adds starting to stray towards the dps/heals. 3) I still have questions regarding our threat on hard mode bosses and the best order to hold it while saving taunts for oh **** moments. Based on my observations it seems pretty important that you start the fight. This means that ******* bounty hunters and sorcerers need to stop using their mez, which starts the fight, before we mez and put the first attack out. I find it much harder to pull the mob back with a Shock or Wither if I don't hit it first; I almost always have to blow a taunt the first 5 secs if someone else makes the pull. On the other hand, and opener of shock, wither, discharge, shock seems to lock up bosses without losing aggro unless they get a string of crits off the rip, and you can save taunts for ads. This is particularly important on something like the Droid Boss with the strong probe ads in the new FP. Anyone else have thoughts on these issues?
  11. I believe it's the next orange set past the Supreme Inquisitor set (also has orange wrists/belt) which comes from Hoth so maybe the Grand drops on Belsavis or Voss.
  12. Yeah mine nearly doubled. I did the new FP in hard mode last night and I was hitting 3-4 mobs for 1.1K+ quite a bit compared to the typical 5-600 I was getting.
  13. Yeah I saw that yesterday and was pretty bummed to see that's it's not working. Would be so awesome if Wither procc'd it so I wasn't waiting around for Thrash to erase the Shock cooldown when I'm dying for a self heal.

  15. I'm a SinTank and I also find positioning him to be a nightmare. I could only get him right 2-3 out of 4 drops every pull. Lots of issues. The pyramids are hard to spot at first, he is huge and in my screen bugging out the camera, and with the angle of the camera while trying to line him up makes it damn near impossible to see if he's in the right spot. Plus there seems to be no method to his movements. He gets stuck at points, stops moving... I also seemed to get killed more often than not when it gets dropped.
  16. That's about where I was. Now start getting all of epic mods on the trader, with dailys, or through friends. And pvp for the bags and whatever drops you get there like implants and relics.
  17. A synthweaver can make Rakata Survivor Wrists and Belt with the biometric alloy you can loot from hard modes. The stats are much better than a fully epic mod orange belt or wrist; something like 85/40/30 (def). I made them both for myself. They can also make nice boots, hands, wrists, and belts by RE'ing level 49 blue recipes into purples. I've done it for most of my 49 blue recipes until I got "Redoubt" versions (+def) of the absorption crafted stuff. I think it's Enigma, so they're called Advanced Redoubt Enigma ______. I can make all of those but eventually full 50 purp epic modded oranges and the loot that drops in HM are better with the exception of the Rakata pieces I talked about first.
  18. A big thumbs up on this one. In general, I've been terribly disappointed with the whole Assassin look. End game is absolutely atrocious with your choices being crazed peacock or purple buffalo, and a near complete lack of light modable pants. None of the classic looks from movies/cartoons (maul) and no chance for the promotional artwork looks with pants, robes, masks, and hoods. All in all a total swing and a miss on the artwork for assassins with the combinations of bugs and armor design.
  19. I don't know. I've made hundreds of oranges with Synthweaving and never crit once. Seems fishy.
  20. I've been tanking basic HM and higher end normal mode for our guild about a week now using 31-0-10. I would voice some of the same concerns, but for the most part it's really fun despite our limitations. AoE threat can be rough. Wither feels very ineffective in the middle of a fight compared to off the rip whereas my standard taunts pull aggro right back. Wither is also a pain when trying to manage aoe aggro while stunned mobs are around you that can't be hit. I feel squishy at times and need to be on top of Force Shroud, Dark Ward, Overcharge, defense relic, shield/absorb relic, Discharge, 3X stack of Force Lightning, and Wither to stay up the whole fight, but that makes it fun. The new patch should help with both those issues.
  21. Yeah I make a killing on Artifact level 45-49 Hands, wrists, boots, and belts doing the exact same thing.
  22. You're doing it wrong. I make a killing synthweaving. As the guy said above, you're an idiot if you're trying to sell level 50 head/chest/legs. Take the 49 bracers, hands, boots, and belt (45); RE them until you get a purple of the damage variety or absorption/defense. When you bring in the cash start RE those for T2 crafted and T2 crafted crits. I sell them for 25-30K a pop and the augmented ones for even more. I also make a crap load on the modable gear of all levels.
  23. It's just random. I've had a few at 45-50 that go purple on the first try and a few that have taken 6-7. And on another note I've made 100's of orange pieces and not a single one has crit.
