  1. I win almost all my solo games even vs what is considerd good pvp guild's premades. If you loose the majority of your games you are probably the factor. Try out diffrent classes and roles e.g. as a healer you can win almost every game with personal skill. Otherwise learn a stealther - here it comes down if you win 1v1 or 1v2 battles and cap an objective. If you can do it you win games otherwise not and again it comes down to personal skill. As a range class you are FOTM atm. It doesn't matter which range class you play, you should deal at least 8-9k dps EVERY game better 12k+ and though this seems high good players hit this number.

    Seriously though, what's the point of this?

     

    The people who play TR and NiM are minorities and there's usually very little overlap between both. What's your goal here? Mix them up? Add people who are unable to complete NiM or win team ranked to the groups?

     

    I see no reason why this would work. At all.

     

    The material requirements are insane, as usual. But, for the sake of argument, let's assume someone actually farmed all those materials and is now using l33t augments.

     

    How do you balance that? What do you do if someone 'overgeared' plays unranked warzones now? The people there have no real chance to catch up. And you know what happens once those augments start to become more common? People will ask for them as a requirement for difficult content. Because you can never assume skill in PUGs, so you at least want equipment on your side.

     

    I noticed you haven't posted the actual stats of the augments. For all his hassle to be worth it they need to be OP. But if they are OP, then balance breaks down... or you increase bolster in warzones, making the new augments irrelevant again.

     

    As I see it, you can't win with this. All you do is that the player base loses. Is this your intention?

     

    hitting ungeared people with fine 75K hits on my ful BiS feels so good right now. Can't wait for 11k ap to finally hit them with some juicy 80-85k hit. it will be glorious.

  3. Why are you trying to sabotage the amazing experience the Play your way expansion has been?

     

    Maybe the reason people don't do as much PvP as you'd like is because the experience is just terrible. Might be an engine thing, but combat is very clumsy, especially for melee. Class balance is nonexistent, and never will be unless you follow WoW's approach to having abilities behave differently in PvP and PvE, and improve your network code so it's not so blatant about favoring people with lower latency. Your customers are all over the world. Fix the game and people will want to play it. You want to encourage PvP, toss some love to GSF. It's the perfect approach to PvP, having its own rules. There's most likely more people interested in GSF than in doing Team Ranked.

     

    Adding these ridiculous carrots to content barely anyone is interested in doing will do nothing but get rid of all the goodwill you have managed to amass with Onslaught.

     

    man exactly what i am thinking. make abilitys behaiving diffrent in pvp and pve otherwise no balance will be brought to this game! FIX THE GAME BIOWARE

  4. Looks like NiM operation and Ranked PvP participation must really be down if they're going to this length to force people to do them for the new Augments. Looks like I'll skip the BiS Augments unless BW makes mats available other ways.

     

    well not many people can't play sr all day long with this **** community. tr is dead. mm groups hold for 2 weeks.

    i will stick with your scheme i guess. lol

  5. will there be any chance for a player who can't play tr because its dead, won't play solo ranked because its toxic af and can't play mm content because most mm groups won't even hold together to craft half of the augs, be able to obtain those or a left to ******* as long as we just pay our monthly sub?
  6. oh also another thing. if you make guard bad in pvp can we have more survivibility as a juggernaut, sin or pt to just not get first targeted in every arena? it's a bit retarded seeing ranges running around with teleports, 10 diffrent defs not even forced to use LOS anymore.

    -> changes for pvp good (but could be even more punishing)

    -> changes for pve ****

    -> communication was: we patch for pve. noone expected good pvp changes and game in pvp rip. look at operatives they can solocarry every warzone if not completely retarded. this should not be.

     

    => better thing to do might be:

    -> get us pvp gear and skill + utilitiy set balanced for pvp and one skill + utility set balanced for pve

     

    => you will be able to balance pvp and pve perfectly fine without crashing gameplay for a class in the other envoirment

    => easy to do since you can flag for pvp or pve (maybe make a thing to prechoose your utilities for pvp and pve)

     

    This would solve like 90% of balancing problems. just seperate pvp from pve. there are so many skills and utilities in the game it's literally unbalancable from my pov.

  9. I don't think reverting things back to getting points for loosing is ok! This game is an mmorpg which means you must grind for something you want. Yes everybody wants do quests but smh noone wants to put in effort. i see so many Jugg/Sorc/Merc players that just go for zerg instead of playing objective. I think it's a good change that you get only points for actually winning since maybe the players think of actually play the game.

    Premades

    For the premade stuff: why would a premade be better then a random avarage group??? Everybody crys about premades ffs. For me most premades are literally only avarage players like everybody else. Even a t-h-2dps group won't automatically win games. In fact those groups tend to zerg around 80% of the time not winning ****.

    Lockout timer

    I don't know why people seriously rebel against this. Everybody wanted it. Why should someone who leaves a wz and probably destroys the queue for 7 other players not get punished (or just by 5min lockout)? I understand that it might bring in some unranked arenas but cmon who ever had a problem with arenas? they are like best thing that can happen. Especially if you cry about premades you should like arenas as 1 player can have a huge impact there.

    15 matches at an average of 15 mins a match, that means 3-3/4 hours to get 1 win.

     

    Is that fun for anyone?

     

    If you lost 14 matches out of 15 it probably was well deserved! You sound like one of those Sorc/Jugg/Merc players that just goes for zerg and expect their team auto win for them. So i pity your team for having such a trol onboard...

    If you tell me you seriously played 15 matches for objective and lost them pvp isn't for you. please stop queueing or search for another game. not joking. you will have no fun in this game longterm.

  11. Require Guard to be active on someone and within range in order to use Single and AOE Taunt.

     

    Defensive Bonuses will have to be moved to a different ability for AP and Hatred most likely.

     

    Shouldn't affect PVE too much since DPS probably aren't spamming taunts often.

     

    Thoughts?

     

    just. remove. guard. from. dps. classes.

  12. Every class having some sort of mobility is fine. We've always had force leap, we've always had movespeed buffs. A 45s cd mobility skill is completely fine. It does its job its fast you can outplay something with it and it doesn't make the game into a dashfest. You all want to go back to something i am talking about moving forward. Create new things. This game will never be the way it was but we can always make it better.

     

    you talk about moving forward but do you really see anything moving accordingly in which way ever with that old af engine? how can they balance something when some skills are just *********** coinflip. Phantom stride e.g. is just ******** on any kind of edge. then you got desync. if you run away your enemy will be 2-8 meters closer to you than it shows on screen (just try it with a friend :p). The pile of **** in this game just starts going so huge they might even not be able to patch anything in the near future.

    it is in the engine that you can queue a non sub as a sub for like 10 years.

    i think it is the same problem here with queueing someone with penality on as YOU queue for pvp and not them.

    therefore they get queued with your queue and not with a queue for themself. i hope i could explain my thought on this a bit.

  14. Do the developers not care that their own servers are unstable that causes player disconnects (not my network, I know when my network goes down, I get alerts. Plus I work from home, I'd lose my work connection too!).

     

    So why am I getting a 15 min ban from PVP when YOUR server DC's me?

     

    "Your connection to the server has been lost. If this problem persist, please visit http://www.swtor.com/support to contact our Customer Service Team".

     

    IOW, "We'll not do anything about our servers disconnecting you during PVP matches".

     

    PS: That's not even the right link to support anymore.

     

    get a mate to queue you up and you will get a pvp invite and get around the 15min penality... they can't ban you for teaming up i guess

    No class should be able to take away 70% of your hp by pressing the same button 3 times in a row, especially with the added bonus of stealth and stuns.

     

    The problem you’re facing sounds the same that a lot of Sin players I know that rolled the class after maul spam became the meta are facing; yourself and themselves got too used to easily taking down opponents with an overpowered ability that now it’s been nerfed to a balanced state you can’t adapt to being on a level playing field. (Not saying you rolled Sin as soon as Maul Spam was the meta, just that I know players that did).

     

    Same thing has happened many times before, the most notable one I can remember being Smash and to a lesser extent bubble stun.

     

    I still see the good Sins dealing big damage and causing havoc to unfortunate players; now they simply can’t smash one button 3 times and get that big damage anymore.

     

    PT’s are slightly overturned right now but they’ll get their day; overturning once class to match another overturned class isn’t how balance works.

     

    In regards to Operatives the concern most players have isn’t with their burst (which has been nerfed and is manageable) but with their utilities so the comparison isn’t really adequate.

     

    As you said maul spam should not be a thing.

    On the otherside taking it away was taking burst damage away from the sin and i think that's the point you missed in my argumentation.

    Sins are should NOT be brawler classes like they currently are.

    Give them cooldown on maul but another 30% damage on some skills and sin would be a class that needs timing, has a decent opener again and needs a higher "skillcap" (if you can actually talk about this in swtor lol).

    Right now it feels like every ability hits around 20-40k and only a boosted maul might hit with 50-60k.

    That is pretty lame. Honestly isn't there a reason to do ball lightning or a voltaic slash? - Guess diffrence might be 10k...

    The whole playstyle is just lame AF without the opener.

    Like i said sin should not be a brawler but by name an assassin.

    I feel like most other classes have the same amount of opening damage or even more (look at powertechs ffs)

    The current state of assassin is not assassin style but more of a brawler. I don't play assassin for brawl but more for objective based 1v1s e.g. alderaan scenario to take a node.

    And please don't rant me for this but a assassin should be able to take 70% of life in a few seconds (an operative can basically do that rn in 3gcds). That is assassin style - not that crappy brawler crawler style it's rn.

    And yes at 6.0 with maul spam assassin might have been a bit overtuned for ppl who could not use their defs but thats no reason to take majority of burst damage from that class. (even in comparison with powertechs or operatives who still do that and noone bats an eye)

  17. The problem with Concealment (and DPS operatives in general) is that they have too many tools in their kits.

     

    Even in the hands of a mediocre player, they can tank for a bit, deal out heavy burst, pull off good sustained damage, and self-heal quite well. Not to mention that - between their stealth and high mobility - they can be a pain to catch up to.

     

    With a competent player in the driver's seat, they're a nightmare and can do in a 1v1 what no other class can. Their ability to keep a player from turning around while snared/immobilized is just the icing on an overkill cake.

     

    I don't mind them being powerful. I just think they need to have a weak spot, like every other class/spec. And they really don't.

     

    Personally, I'd take away the self-heals.

     

    I am a sin otp normally but decided to take a look at other classes. In my first arena with burst oper i nearly doubled the dps of the other players. this was pre buff. Don't know how they do in 6.1.1 but its hilarious to watch the strongest pvp class in game getting buffed again...

I think its time to do something about this, in republic side every time some afternoon, almost same time period, and exact same people with a leader in their team (I saw some nasty insults in general chat while in a wz like "get good" "*********** casuals" etc) destroying normal players in unranked pvp. It is always matched against same premade group because no one else playing pvp it seems in pub side, which is expected because most people are in imperial side. Are you good folks at BioWare going to do something about this at anytime soon? I just rolled a level 70 smuggler after like years and first match was painful and getting matched against this morons gang banging everyone in their way. I think some account-wise simple warnings would be useful since they all using communication software to coordinate their attacks which is unfair because normal people does not use such programs. They just log in and try to have some fun solo and these angry elitist people destroying all the fun. And don't even bother defending these morons because they are clearly doing this to annoy other people.

     

    big oofs... at this point i think you deserve beeing farmed in regs...

    -> get a group

    -> get a guild

    -> get some skill

    90% of the problems sit behind the screen

  19. This is barely the top of the mountain. There is so much more possible (without flyhacks or anything).

    It is possible to get outside the vaiken space dock.

    It is probably possible (didnt had the time to finish it) to get to KP endboss without fighting anything.

    It is possible to walk some meters into the wild outside of the map at most planets.

    It is possible to know where the operations are locatated physically at the fleet (did you know KP isn't on an own map but instead above the imperial fleet?).

     

    With enough time i can reach every spot in the programmed game.

     

    So if you discover something - just enjoy the view!

  20. The changes can stay as they might disable maul spam.

    Give Assassin higher base damage on maul (e.g. 40%) and make it only usable from behind.

    This will give us back a real assassin playstyle.

    Might give death knell a generell crit chance/damage boost (e.g.20%/15%) for like 30secs instead of what it is now.
