  1. I personally liked the writing and character of Lord Cytherat in the Makeb storyline. I find that he's somewhat comparable to Lana in that he carried himself with a refined poise while also being a pure-blooded Sith, a strong fighter, and Empire loyalist. There are plenty of Sith who indulge in their rage and anger to the point of absurdity (though it's always entertaining), thus having more collected counterbalances like Lana and Cytherat add to the depth of the game. Additionally, the flirting which was light romance rather than carnal in nature, was very enjoyable. I liked how it played out, and I would enjoy seeing an option with Lord Cytherat to have a romantic relationship that is far better written than that of Ashara if you were to include more romancing options for new 6.0 companions (if you are planning any). Granted, I would have to say he'd only be available to those who chose to save him in the Makeb storyline, but it does help to tie together the expansions by having this kind of returning npc. Plus, he really is an Empire-loyalist so in that regard he'd be a good addition on the premise that was announced of 6.0 returning to the Empire vs the Republic roots. I hope the dev team does consider this. ps. Totally my outlandish opinions here - He definitely ranks in the most attractive category of the pure-blooded Sith. I also expect to get flak for this comment, but he would also make a good candidate for a same-sex only romance option. However, I'm not sure from a marketing standpoint it's a great idea especially because (unfortunately) it might alienate some of your player base OR be too restrictive overall if he plays a large role like Lana in the story line and would be incredibly interesting to romance from any kind of sexuality.
  2. They aren't sneaking to the top 10 that way at all. If you watch the conquest charts now, you can see early on who's going to be in the top of the lists. In a guild as small as the one I'm in, which is under 100 members, it takes some of us more than one day to earn enough conquest points to reach the small yield objective. So, we have to invest several days, so that we get the most out of the once-per-day legacy conquest objectives. Because some of the other objectives that are repeatable earn a smaller amount of points, you'd have to have a marathon of many hours of gaming to pull a dark horse-win and reach the top of the conquest charts. For the most part, Conquest is MORE fair now than it has been in the past. So, what if being in the top 10 doesn't mean much unless you get #1 and get the perks that go with it? You can still get your name out there if you do manage to hit the top of the guild invasion lists. There wasn't much of an advantage before hand outside of the rewards which were often minor for the amount of effort it required on the part of members. Sorry, I'm not an Ops fan because of technology and other reasons, so it was nigh impossible for me to equitably contribute where I can now.
  3. I like the idea of refinement stations. They could expand it to go beyond exotic isotope stabilizers and maybe include other crafting material exchanges for refined isotopes or other rare crafting materials.
  4. Hi! Today, I was one of about four people I know that has a mysterious 'security key not found' kind of issue or otherwise were unable to log in using their security key. I'm not sure if it's a larger-scale issue, but I wanted to post the fix here to help others. There was no option on my app to resync, so I called customer service and got the following advice. In short it involved uninstalling & reinstalling the app. Then I removed the security key on the account then added the new security key/ new serial number to the account/app (respectively). Not sure if there's an easier way, but it worked! THE FIX SENT TO ME VIA EMAIL FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE First, can you please try to uninstall and re-install the App on your device. And if this not gonna help you with regarding on the Security Key on your account, I would advise for you to remove it and then add it back again to your account. To remove the Security Key simply start to login to your account here on the site (it should prompt you again when you click on the my account button at the top). When logging in leave the Security Key section blank, it will then prompt you to enter the code or give you an option for 'Lost Your Security Key'. And also you can follow this steps in order for you to set again the Security Key: Setting up your security key: 1. Log in to My Account If you don't have a SWTOR account, you'll need to create one. 2. Answer your security questions You need at least three security questions answered before you can set up your security key. 3. Set up your security key Have your security key (mobile or physical) ready! -------------- This link on the EA site was also helpful: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/SWTOR-Security-Key/td-p/4884016
  5. I do it on Story Mode a lot/ solo with my companion. You do have to move all the time, or at least most of it because of all of the AoE attacks. My guardian seems to absorb quite a bit though. However the only time I had nasty problems, was when I didn't keep the adds under control. They keep coming out at very regular intervals. If I did not keep the extra droids down to 1-2, especially the tank (or tech?) droids, then the next set of adds overwhelmed my companion and myself at least once. Although it takes forever, running in and out of AoE circles, making sure to put your comp on passive occasionally just to move them out of AoE circles, and killing the adds until the boss is under 25% health when you can burn it down seems to work for me.
  6. I've jumped on the console. Seriously, I jumped over a slight gap onto something and pounded on him. Though it's been since the day after release since I've fought Zildrog. I learned in the same fight (playing my Guardian), save the saber throws for Zildrog. This might mean more hopping around, and multi-tasking adds & Zildrog at the same time, while making sure the comp isn't over-whelmed. So, lots of Passive toggling off/on if necessary. ---- Also as for Companion Passive/ Active. If they have the healing role selected, they will not heal you on passive. They will run to your location and most of the time no matter which one I have, they'll stand there and do nothing. You have to pretty much toggle off Passive the moment you see them arrive. I don't know their targeting mechanics, though I've noticed that they follow whom I'm targeting, but sometimes, instead of hitting my active target, they move to the next target that would be in the sequence depending on which preferences I have set for auto-target.
  7. Hi! I was with a group today and we waited for a good 30+ minutes to see if the Walker would spawn. No matter which website we found or guide, the information was a few years out of date and they all said '12 hour' timer. Is that still true or is the timer different now? With the current Conquest, groups are already camping out at the spawn-points, which can make it problematic for anyone going for the Conquest points or the regular Heroic. Thanks!
  8. On Satele Shan, Recovered Relics are rarely under 400K, 450 - 550K is usually the common low price. Though you can find them for the 300K range once in a great while. When they're rare you'll see them listed for about 800K+. Depends on the market. Anything lower than 400K means the person doesn't know what they have or really doesn't care at all.
  9. There's a guild member that i haven't seen online for over a month. He had some pretty severe health concerns. It's a good chance he may have passed away, or he could simply have moved on to other games. He's an avid gamer, or perhaps he's no longer got the money or access to play swtor. I don't want his info or anything, I just want to know if there's someone within swtor/ bioware I can contact to get a message relayed. Perhaps sent to his account inbox, that if he's okay that he's missed. Or that if he's passed away, that maybe we can find out and honor him somehow. I know I will likely never know, and I shouldn't expect any kind of reply. But, while this is just a game, any player I talk to is more than a toon filling in a role. They are a person and I can't stand the idea of not reaching out. So who do I talk to? Who do I contact within swtor/ bioware/ etc? Can I do anything at all? YES I WORRY TOO MUCH... thanks. I'm not going to post his name here because I don't feel it's appropriate when it can be equally as likely he's fine and just not playing swtor.
  10. I just noticed it happened to me too. I was doing dailies in Section X for the second time and wasn't aware that there was a bug. Now I'm down to being Light 0 instead of Light IV. -_-
  11. 1) Do they have an in-game alert they an use to notify people instead of Twitter? I'd appreciate it, but it's not necessary. 2) Items were disappearing from gtn purchases and likely more mail was getting lost, so I can understand why they decided to take the server down asap. It likely was to prevent further glitches from occurring so they can fix it asap rather than having the problem escalate while they scrambled for help. 3) All accounts who suffered lost items or lost mail, should be compensated somehow, IMO. 75 cartel coins would be nice. Then you can afford to actually buy something, or perhaps a command or exp boost. But, I know that means a further loss of money on swtor's end. But I do appreciate that the glitch and issues are being investigated immediately. 4) Some glitches are too be expected in a game like this. As much as you can beta test, or test anything, the actual live load and demand of active use is never quite the same as a test. It's hard and time ($$) consuming to try and remember to test every last scenario before going live. However, I'm only guessing, so I could be wrong. 5) Constant down time when you're a sub does suck. Ughs. 6) Let's just hope they get it back online sometime today (within 24 hours or less).
  12. Most of my characters are in my one stronghold on Dromund Kaas, and I can log into them just fine. I already know of one person who lost an item after purchasing it on the gtn. There may have been more in my guild. I'm not sure if I've lost any items I've sold as I don't record sales independently.
  13. I'm having the same problem with at least one of my characters. I haven't tried all of them, I will now to check. I put in a ticket already.
  14. Hi, Is there a way to turn off the screen shake effects? They make me sick. I didn't pay for a subscription to be given migraines and have to give up ten minutes into playing. I've tried googling it, searching the forum, and adjusting some of the preferences but I haven't found a solution yet. I wasn't sure if I simply missed something. Sorry, just very frustrated right now. Thank you.
