I have only played a Jedi Knight as a loyalist to the end, but I was wondering, what happens if I played my Smuggler to side with the Empire? Does the story play out that you side with the Empire throughout the entire campaign and then at the end, you can join the Empire? Or could you only join the Empire as a saboteur and then go back to the Republic and choose to stick with your Alliance or join the Republic again? I was thinking that it would be cool to ally my Smuggler who is more DS with the Empire, do everything for the Empire, and then stay with them as an enemy for the Republic. Is this possible? I know it's just for the story and I can't roam Dromund Kaas in the end, was just wondering if this was a possible outcome.

Well, I should have gone into more detail. There's like 2 of them that play but they don't play as often as they used to. But they plan on coming back but they are pretty much in the dark since it's been a bit for them as well, if that makes any sense. WoW removed the gearing system as well. There is "pvp gear" that you get from wins, etc, but they're all crated and RNG as well. What would be a class that does well but isn't OP like a Merc then? I'm one to go against the grain.

Just to give you guys an idea of the last time I played, I played around launch time, which was many, many years ago. I was never around for pretty much anything besides launch, and now that I have friends who play this game, I am coming back to pretty much play the game again for the first time. PVP is my thing and I've always done PVP in any MMO that I play. I really like open world pvp and instanced arena/battlegrounds for fun and rating. I am currently playing WoW: Legion and I'm really unhappy with the state of the pvp in the game, since the balancing is absolutely terrible with the way they want to do things and pruning classes. So, can anyone give me information on how the balance is on this game? When I played launch my favorite class was the bounty hunter. How is open world pvp and does it exist? I'm not looking for any class that's like broken OP but is fairly balanced in terms of everything that does well in all situations. What are some good pvp servers that have a faction balance? What is the most popular faction and what server has healthy world pvp going on? Any help would be appreciated.
