  1. I think they should just do whole transfer/merger of all the light servers, to achieve mid-standard servers. This would be the most seamless way of doing it. No rerolling, no reforming the guild, no re-doing anything. Every thing would stay pretty much the same, except you would see new people to play with or against. Then they need to get serious about player driven contents (aka sandbox). To answer OP, I just cancelled my sub, I will stick around until it runs out, so if they do it before mid-July I will still be there and see 1st hand if it is worth paying again. If they do that after mid-July, then I'll check on Vent if my guildmate are coming back, but I will be playing something else. I don't know what, but it won't be Tera (even if we have a guild extension there, which I don't think is very much active since beta anyway, TSW has potentials but issues so I didn't dig the beta, not a D fan, and while Rift is very well executed and I know a bunch of people playing it, it is not innovative.. So I am likely to play some of the games I bought over the past couple years and haven't played...
  2. Don't expand the lvl cap. That is ridiculous. It's already boring after Act 1. Act 2 was rinse and repeat from Act 1. Find some other skill lvl to achieve. Maybe through a career or something. Make the Legacy meaningfulness, not just some achievement boards with senseless prizes. This game needs player driven content. As of now everything is controlled by BW, and PvP = grinding, that gets boring really fast. What about being able to build and attack/defend bases both on a planet and in the space?
  3. I have been the only one on vent for the past 3 weeks. There's only 5 people in chat, not chatting much, at peak hour. No lvl50 anymore. I just cancelled my sub. I will keep playing until it runs out on 7/18.
  4. And what about recurring costs, like all the devs working on patches and updates, servers, ongoing marketing, websites? I yes for people asking, it is about comparing if you fail at $5M or $500M. When you already spent $300M on a game that will bring you ~$80M in it's 1st year, while not being bad, it is a flop. Without major improvement that could reverse the actual perception of the game, they are probably be looking to keep the game going on for 5 years simply to break even, maybe...
  5. I agree with Jaxon, I don't even know why the OP is worry or asking the question. TSW and SWTOR are different and appeal to a different audiences, such as people who don't care about Lucas Universe. Some people just like fantastic, and won't like TSW anymore than SWTOR in term of lore. Then it comes down to the mechanics, and again 2 different games. It's basically like any other of the 12-20 game published by EA at any given year. SimCity will be competing SWTOR and TSW...
  6. I came to the conclusion that it wasn't worth it. This 1 month free is a desperate move. Nothing else. One could claim that people playing the least are the one who have the most to win from a free month ($15 / X number of hours = $ value per hour) .
  7. I am always amazed at how easy it is to create social classes and to start discriminating between them in one grand gesture! Congrats for being nonsensical BW!
  8. In that case, I prefer pie! Pies have never made me sick! (touching wood)
  9. I work 10 hrs and commute 2 hrs per day, I have a family, I pre-ordered this game, with a 6 months subscription. I am a founder, but I can only play a few hours on weekend, but I play every weekend. So I have a lvl 36, and that's it. I do help others lower level completing their Heroic. I do crafting for others. I gave 100k to my guild for the bank, even if I only have one character with 150k. That is a total lack of consideration for your regular casual player, who are paying the same amount in $US that everybody else. This is completely unfair and unacceptable. The most frustrating is not getting 30 days of bonus game time. Not getting the pet is also unfair. And one week is not enough for me to reach lvl50 or get Legacy level 6, or whatever your scheme is. You want to appease the founders, give us our 30 days bonus, give us our pet when we reach lvl50
  10. Seriously! I mean: Seriously? What is wrong with the OP? That is actually one of the 1st game where things are reasonably priced. This is call Star Wars, not Corporatism Wars. There are actually some levels of capitalism going on in that market. It's not because something is hard for you to get that it should be overpriced. If no one wants to buy it, or if you can't do anything with it, why would it be overpriced?
