  1. Of course madness is on the list and not lightning. What do you guys expect? I mean, I only see madness sorcerers in PvP and bioware always listens to the PvP community. That's why they are going to buff madness and leave lightning the way it is.

My girlfriend and I only play lightning spec in pvp on our sorcs, and pvp is all we do. I find it more fun than madness, despite recognizing that it's sub-par. I haven't actually seen more madness sorcs than Ling sorcs the past few months, though dps sorcs in general aren't as common post-5.0 of course. Since launch, most of BW's bad balance decisions have had to do with pve concerns screwing pvp balance, not the other way around. I promise you: they don't, unfortunately, care about pvp and its balance as much as you're worried that they do.

Also, I think sorcs should be able to barrier while netted- but still be unable to phase walk and sprint obviously. If this was the case, the mando is trading their 90s net cooldown for the twice as long barrier cooldown of the sorc. A more than fair trade. The problem is that sorc healers are already OP, so this would draw rage over a counter to them being removed. Especially because of how sorcs can still use barrier to cheese acid mechanics to reliably win any arena round that goes to acid.

  2. Partly my own fault, as my Dad came to visit and I took a few days off over the past couple of weeks to spend time with him. This ultimately slowed my progress but I am back in full swing now and pushing to get the roadmap completed.

Legit just almost spit out my drink. When things get pushed back because a single employee takes a few days off work, you know you've hit peak skeleton crew status. This is BW's fault of course, not yours.

  3. I hope to God you're not serious...

If you truly are this sensitive...HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

I think you're forgetting that these are BW devs we're talking about. You can't take it for granted that they're competent enough to know that they have done quite the opposite of making mandos "perfect".

Then again, I expected that kind of a response from a resident mando apologist.

  4. Slight hijack here but if you know anywhere that has proper LOS please let me know, it's a real pain how it works in strongholds. We originally did them on Voss but moved to strongholds because of people using large mounts to try and ruin duels, now that planet bolster is a thing we couldn't use those planets regardless.

Please space jesus, just give us a decent duel area in the new stronghold with actual LOS.

Raz's tourney worked great. Tatooine SH at the hut.

  5. There are no Class balance changes currently planned for 5.2. I will keep you guys updated on when any Class changes will be coming in the future as soon as I have that information.

    -eric

That is completely unacceptable. 5.2 is way overdue as it is. Delaying balance changes even further is just ludicrous.

  6. Allowing sorcs to barrier while hindered might not be the most effective way of getting sorc dps where it needs to be, but it wouldn't be too bad at this point. It's a 3/2.5 minute cooldown that CCs them, whereas net's cooldown is half of that. So if they barrier the first net, that's a good trade. No barrier for the next net or two.

Net would still prevent them from phase walking or sprinting behind LOS, and thus already endangers the sorc quite a bit. Preventing the use of a third ability probably isn't necessary.

  7. Remove phase walk

Give sorcs a reflect like mercs or juggernauts

    No. Class homogenization is bad.

Remove the cool down on Thundering Blast and lower the activation time. Adjust damage in correspondence with the other abilities to make the rotation be the optimal choice (and not just spamming Thundering Blast). Remove affliction, and make Thundering Blast auto-crit a certain percentage of the time. Make Thundering Blast castable while moving as default.

...... and you expect to be taken seriously? TB needs a damage buff, that's it. Why would you accept the cost of it hitting less hard, just to be able to use it more often? It should be the other way around. Years ago, it was shifting the damage profile away from a busty TB (it used to hit considerably harder relative to HP pools) and towards a steadier stream of damage with LS turning into LB, that made the spec irrelevant and no longer as unique (glass cannon heavy burst caster). You're asking for more of the same thing that kinda killed the spec in the first place. And why would you prefer to not autocrit every TB? Especially with CL and CD refreshing affliction... like, why is affliction even an issue for you? Consistently refreshing afflictions on multiple enemies via CL and CD is a cool mechanic that skilled players can use to maximize damage.

You currently need to do one full channel of Force Lightning to auto-trigger Demolish, and that can be tricky to pull of in ranked. Using Force Lightning should give some type of immunity to knock-back and interupts, but not to stuns or mezz. And it should be castable while moving. Additionally Demolish should give far more damage always be auto-triggered by Force Lightning.

No, that mechanic is fine. Madness used to be great, and they don't need to fix what isn't broken. There's no excuse for not having max stacks by the time demolish comes back off cd. The more they interrupt FL, the more leeches you get off.

  8. The bolster change isn't the root problem lol, they just ripped off the band-aid and exposed the gaping wound. Which is of course, galactic command and the ridiculous amount of grinding it takes to get geared. If it didn't take so long to get max gear, there wouldn't be a problem.
  9. I subbed back for a month and was considering another contingent BW does class balance and fix gearing system. Neither happened.

    For class balance:

    1. Sorc healers are outperforming, at this point I will add, "as ever."
    2. Healing debuff needs to be re-instated.
    3. Ops, PT, jugg and sorc dps range between obsolete to mediocre.
    4. Dec sin is outperforming. Merc but not due to damage.
    5. Merc survivability is waaayyyy toooooo high for a ranged dps.
    6. Sin tank is stronger than the other 2 (but not a large margin).

I will not wait around for BW to take their sweet time to make adjustment, especially that there is no content been added this patch for PvP or otherwise, except Uprisings, which are mediocre FPs.

    This is correct
