Guild Lore Original House Aubyn: Aubyn was brought up on the planet Ziost, to two members of the Sith Nobility, both being respected and feared Sith Lords. Aubyn would go on to train at the Sith Academy on Korriban, excelling in areas such as Sith Alchemy and Darkside studies. After passing his trials, Aubyn would go on to make himself a renowned member of the Sith, serving under various masters in his time as an apprentice. Aubyn progressed through the ranks of the Sith with relative ease and continued his studies into the dark side of the force. His thirst for knowledge would lead him across the galaxy, to sites of ancient sith holocrons and places of Darkside power, such as the Yavin moon. Whilst traveling across Yavin 4 in search of lost secrets and power, Aubyn discovered an ancient ruin, that appeared to be Sith in nature. After some time searching the ruin, he came across an artifact that seemed to be overflowing with dark side energy. Upon activating the artifact Aubyn was changed, it seemed the power of the Darkside now ran through him more so than ever before. He left the Yavin moon, to return to his home planet of Ziost, and report his discovery. Sometime after arriving back on Ziost, Aubyn reported his findings on Yavin 4 to a select group of Sith scholars who studied Darkside powers and artifacts. At first, the Sith were skeptical of his claims until Aubyn demonstrated his new power by draining the life from one of the Sith next to him, showing his power was real. Aubyn was later granted the rank of Lord, for his years of service as he continued to advance his knowledge and power in the Darkside. He continued to rise through the ranks of the Sith using deceit, deception, and power as his tools. Eventually, Lord Aubyn came into the direct service of Naga Sadow. His new-found status and power lead him to form House Aubyn, which was responsible for carrying out several military operations and served as the foundation of Lord Aubyn's powerbase. Over several years, many would rally to House Aubyn to serve the Empire. At the beginning of the Great Hyperspace War, Lord Aubyn was made one of Naga Sadow's closest advisors and military commanders. He was also made a Darth, for his service to the Sith and Naga Sadow himself. During the ensuing war, the full might of House Aubyn was brought to bare in the effort to destroy the weaknesses and hypocrisies of the Jedi and the Republic. However, due to the defeat of the Sith House Aubyn was decimated with few members surviving the war. Darth Aubyn was one of the few to survive the massacre and retreated to his fortress on Yavin 4, which had been built on the sight of the ancient ruins he had discovered many years ago and was able to hide from the Republic for a time. Despite this, supplies diminished and his followers begun to perish one by one until Darth Aubyn himself died in his fortress, leaving behind an abandoned citadel and lost legacy. Present-day: After the GGW, a Sith whose true name is unknown was trained on Korriban at the academy, his parents were unknown as was his lineage. He excelled during his time and was adept at manipulating the Darkside through Sith alchemy. This unknown Sith advanced quickly through the Empire, securing friends and rivals alike throughout the ranks of the Sith. Many of these rivals disappeared or were found dead, completely lifeless. The corpses often appeared burnt or looked as though the life had been slowly drained from them. The abilities of this unknown Sith allowed him to quickly surpass the masters he served, becoming a Lord, a feared member of the Sith Order. Thanks to his new powers and influence, this unknown Sith was able to secure the backing of some of those within the Empire, when he announced that he was a descendent of the once-powerful and feared Darth Aubyn. He took the name 'Aubyn' for himself and declared the resurrection of the House. While this initially caused some concern throughout the Empire Lord Aubyn made it clear the House existed to serve the Empire, and help in the upcoming war. The Empress of the Sith Acina allowed for the House to be reformed, as long as loyalty to the Empire was maintained. Lord Aubyn agreed and was made a Darth, he would rebuild his House to serve the Empire and ensure victory for the Sith. Now, with a hand full of supporters including Sith, Imperials, and mercenaries.
