Just want to publicize an experience that is anti-XSLFG tool. Now,I understand the low server pops want them. I understand all the reasoning there, but the answer to their problem can be implemented differently (merge server anyone? eventual char transfer will come in). Anyways on to my experience. I have a friend.. yes I have one, who decided he wanted to fast track to 60 valor rank. 8 hours straight (or more) of afk warzones. The next day, he goes into warzones intending to actually play. He couldn't believe it when people saw him in the game and immediately left. Absolutely boggled. I tried to explain how now he has a reputation for being bad, that all the people in pvp guilds who saw and noticed him would've told their friends and he would have to either shelve the character for a few weeks til people forgot, or deal with repercussions. This wouldn't happen in XSLFG, but he deserved his bad rep and all the repercussions that came with it.

The only really bad thing about maintenance times is the onset of daylight savings.. (or removal? I never can keep it straight). What was 19 hour time difference to pacific west coast US is now 18 and will be 17 when AUS times change (except QLD, strange buggers). so where servers had been going down at 7pm (aus-east), giving an hour and a bit of time to play before going off to do life things, now you get home and it's already down! 8 hour downtime means it'll be down til after I sleep, provided it's down for the full time, which doesn't usually happen. I'd have been happy with the 10min window I thought I had before downtime today, but the time change has screwed up my time-zone understandings I guess.

I don't know what he's talking about with having nothing to do. I just hit 50 yesterday, but.. I'm already doing the daily quests for epic mods (that are better than craftable) getting my companions orange gear to mod up with said epic mods, warzones for pvp gear.. eventually I'll start making datacron searches... getting my crafting completed.. if I get bored I can hunt down all the lore objects. But honestly, there's so much to do if you want to be truly hardcore. My money is that OP is just a poseur, pretending to be hardcore. As for his lack of ability to see chat, I just recently fixed my own version of that problem, and trust me. It is a pain. ctrl-u-u doesn't work for those who have made the suggestion. Still, this is not the only extremely problematic bug and based on the fact they are asking for more information (see customer service thread), I would guess they haven't been able to hunt down the cause yet, and so can't begin working on a fix. Once they can I'm sure it will be fixed. Two weeks is still super green in MMO lifetime.
