  1. I'd rather they just add Expertise back into the game to really differentiate the PvP gear from the PvE gear. Your idea can work too though, provided the PvP-only Augments have Expertise or some form of player-only damage reduction.
  2. Oh yes you CAN kill him for it, just not immediately. One of the few things I liked about Fallen Empire. But it's also one of the many reasons why I absolutely hate the Agents story, because the Minister of Intelligence betrays you and the Empire as a whole (he's wrong, an Imperial SHOULD be able to threaten a Sith to keep the balance, the Imperials do not exist merely to serve the Sith), and you never get the chance to punish him for it. That and the whole sleeper agent Onatomaphobia trigger thing. That whole chapter was a complete poopshow.
  3. Or really, how do you mitigate any kind of ability that disables your engine and leaves you a sitting duck for a goodbye Proton? How do you prevent it in the first place, and how do you survive and escape once you've already been sliced? That's the one thing I still consistently die to, getting sliced and being helpless against a follow-up missile.
  4. Neither. Malavai Quinn is absolute trash compared to either of them.
  5. How the credit cap stands now at 1 million, it's just enough for a premium player to get gear from the vendors, but not really enough to buy anything from the GTN, given how strongly inflation has gripped the servers these days. I propose adding credit cap increases bought with Cartel Coins to give non-subs a bit more leeway with their credit limit, to both alleviate the annoyance of having to dump their credits in the Legacy Bank so often, and allow them the ability to interact with the GTN to some degree. Something like: Tier 1: 10 million Credits: 200CC per character, or 500CC per legacy. Tier 2: 25 million Credits: 450CC per character, 1000CC per legacy. Tier 3: 100 million Credits: 800CC per character, 2000CC per legacy. They still wouldn't have the kind of flexibility a subscriber has with an unlimited credit cap, but it would give them some breathing room as to what they can and cannot buy on the GTN, and just make things more convenient for them...for a price, of course.
  6. So come the next major patch, Augments WILL work in Warzones again? This is confirmed?
  7. Then they'd better drive the prices of i300 legendary augments down some. 800 million credits for ONE i300 legendary augment is not a sound investment when I can spend half that to augment a full set of gear with i284 epic augments and the difference in power would be small.
  8. Does anybody miss the old days when planets didn't have level scaling and the end bosses for class stories were actually a challenge? IIRC, both Emperor and Darth Baras both had an attack that could basically one-shot you if it wasn't interrupted. You had to go into those fights prepared, and they made the class storyline conclusion far more satisfying.
  9. Feels pointless to augment my equipment now with the next patch so close to release, not knowing if A) we'll get new augments, and B) if they'll even be fixed, since they currently don't work for Warzones. I'm hoping they will be fixed and become relevant in Warzones again, but Bioware has been known to disappoint over the years. I thought for sure Expertise would've come back at some point, but nope.
  10. I have a little over 5,000 CC banked at this point. I already have the Defiant Vented Lightsaber in my collection, bought it a long time ago during a flash sale, along with a Lightning Tuning. If I can't get my hands on Light-attuned, the Lightning Tuning is still pretty cool since it syncs up the color of any crystal. My Kylo Ren Saber uses a Cyan crystal, and I frequently get complements about how dope it looks.
  11. I don't see it in the Cartel Market nor the Auction House, and I think it'd match the Cyan crystal on my Kylo Ren Saber more than my Lightning Tuning. Trying to get a Vented Doublesaber for Kira as well, but again, not in the CM or the AH.
  12. Fine, keep the rewards the same, just make it so that the person farming large amounts of Conquest on one toon can get the same rewards as someone farming smaller amounts of Conquest across multiple toons.
  13. If there are people that do it consistently and are a huge benefit to their guild because of it, they should be rewarded appropriately for it.
  14. Even when healers are trying, seems like they hardly put out any heals at all, and when they do, they're super weak and barely make health bars move a pixel or two.
  15. Separate PvP and PvE gear by reimplementing Expertise. Also make Augments work in PvP again. The people willing to put in time to farm the optimal gear and fine-tune it should have an advantage in play.
  16. Because you have to put in more effort to reach it in limited time, since Conquest Objectives are also only once per week and you won't get as much for subsequent repeats of that objective, say, winning a GSF or a Warzone. Hitting higher numbers is harder because the gains get smaller and smaller as your list of available objectives shrinks. 500k might not be the greatest example, but let's take 2 million Conquest as a cutoff, for instance. Not a lot of people are pulling that much Conquest on a single toon in one week, so they should be handsomely rewarded for putting in the time and effort to reach those numbers.
  17. Why? The alts could still get their basic 100k rewards, and then their mains that they play on more could get the better rewards for hitting higher Conquest goals.
  18. No, it would need to be more than 5 100k rewards. The point is to encourage more dedicated play on one toon and not swapping to 10 different alts just for 100k conquest.
  19. Of course, it would have to be. Say a 250k credit chip, some Legendary Embers, something along those lines. The reward has to be worth the effort, obviously. The point is to encourage more dedicated play to main characters and not wanting to run a bunch of alts just for conquest rewards.
  20. Considering how easy it is to reach 100k Conquest on one character, why hasn't Bioware considered adding multiple weekly Conquest goals or a tiered Conquest system for players who are willing to grind out way more? 1st Tier is 100k Conquests with the usual rewards, then 2nd tier could be something like 500k on the same character with better rewards, then maybe something like 2 million for even better rewards, then finally something really ridiculous that only the most devout players will reach in a weeks time, like 10 million Conquest, with huge rewards for those that do. Would this really be such a bad thing? I feel like it would encourage more dedicated play to a players main character, deterring people from running a dozen alts just for Conquest.
  21. I don't generally do Flashpoints or Operations, almost all of my time is split between Unranked Warzones and GSF, using the queue waiting time to do planetary heroics and space missions. So a mix of DPS and Tank gear would be more than sufficient for all of that. Ideally I'd like to build a set of gear for all four specs: Defense, Vigilance, Telekinetics, and Seer, with the appropriate augments for each. But I still want to be using SOME Tank gear in Warzones, not forego ALL of it. If part of my job is going to be babysitting/defending nodes and not just guarding our healer, then I need some degree of survivability against being focused when I'm the only one defending a turret on Alderaan or Denova. Shield offhand and Force Resistance Implant at the bare minimum that I want, but preferably 4 or 5 items for Tanking, and the rest DPS. So I'm thinking Weapon, Shield, one Implant and the Earpiece, and then everything else goes DPS, including the Relics (prefer the clickies that give Power and Mastery).
  22. You do realize Scouts can do the same thing, except instead of laser swapping to piledrive with two primaries, they simply combine their primary (usually either Lights or Quads, not sure how LC's fair in 7.0) with Rocket Pods, which in a lot of cases is even more dangerous than a piledriving T1 Strike. A T1 or T2 Scout piledriving with Pods and burst cooldowns like Targeting Telemetry and even Concentrated Fire can absolutely vaporize anything that they have a clear line of fire at, and they don't even have to adjust their aim for a bouncy reticle like a T1 Strike does, which means they can piledrive a target that's moving laterally and/or off center (though Pods have big penalties for being off-center, so consider using Wingman to compensate). It's genuinely scary the kind of burst damage a Lights/Quads/BLC and Pods Scout can put out with the right cooldowns, sometimes you're dead before you even know you're being fired at. Which is why it surprises me that there are so few Scout mains these days, especially compared to Strikes. I know they have paper thin defenses but their killing power is something else in capable hands, so why they're not more popular these days is a mystery. The point that Verain and others have been trying to make here though, is that the ship and its components don't make the man in GSF, the pilot does. An Ace pilot running a stock ship will always outmatch a Rookie pilot running a fully mastered ship, on the basis of their aim and flying skills alone.
  23. Hey guys, returning player from the days of KotFE, starting a new toon to get a feel for all the new changes and relearn my main class, Defense Guardian. It'll take me a little while to rebuild this character and start gearing, but I'm fairly active so it should all come together in time, and now that I have a computer that can actually handle this game and Warzones are no longer a 5-FPS slideshow for me, I figure this is a good time to step my game up and try to get competitive at PvP, enough to where I can at least compete in Ranked. I'm looking for a Republic-side guild that has a focus on PvP, both Warzones and Starfighter. I split my time evenly between the two, filling in the downtime from queueing through planetary heroics. Galactic Starfighter is my preferred game, and I feel personally that I've gotten decent at it over the years, and some have even called me an Ace pilot over the years, though I don't know if I'd go that far. But I mostly do PvP so I'm seeking a guild focused on just that, Unranked PvP (though I want to learn Ranked at some point) and Galactic Starfighter. As I am maining Tank spec, I would not opposed to tanking the occasional Master FP or 8-man Operation either, provided the mechanics for each fight are explained to me. I have Legendary Status with all Companion lines completed, and all Datacrons except one on Odessen. I know the stats/buffs are small, but I still wanted every little boost I could get. My IGN is Lodsofemone, you can mail me in game or send me a message on the forums, I check both regularly. I have Discord and a headset, can fill out an application and even be present for an interview. Cheers guys. ~Chris
