  1. Something is seriously wrong with the rng determining what set items you get from the personal conquest goal crates. I get about 6 to 10 of them week and way too many belong the "Victor's" set. It's like every other or every third. Very annoying
  2. Could you please restore the part of the hover-over help on crafting materials in crafting recipes that tell you which crew mission will find them? Before Onslaught hover over the material would tell you "level x scavenged compound".
  3. Honestly, I have been sending tickets about those weird offers to customer support for months, including directly to Mr. Musco. The only replies I have received were from customer support, lecturing me on how capitalism works (not like that). So, as far as I am concerned, they have given a carte blanche to buy those sets.
  4. I am still waiting to see an explanation by the "Nothing to see here, move along" crowd for 1) How and why would players accumulate stacks of up to 50 copies of the same item, especially items that have not been on sale for a long time or ever (this is a problem with the "hacked credit cards" theory as well). Keep in mind that these are high-prices items, normally, we are talking about a billion credits in (normal) value. 2) Why would those players throw them all onto the GTN at once, a dozen different items under a dozen different toons, all within minutes of each other? Alternatively, if these are different players, why would they coordinate like this, depressing the prices even further? 3) How would they make a profit doing this, if they are selling at 50% of a year long low? Or, in other words, again, why? 4) Why is it only outfits and, to a lesser degree, decorations? Why not the very stable in price and consistently high valued (especially crdits to cc ratio) lightsabers? Lightsabers suck for buy-low/sell-high trading because their price fluctuation is low, but that would make them perfect for this scheme. The sellers would get as much profit per lightsaber as they could get off a page of outfits and it would be less suspicious. 3 or 4 lightsabers more would get less attention than 50 copies each of outfits. You can engage in all the semantics you want, if it was duping or hacking or tooth-fairying., it still is more than suspicious.
  5. Well, actually, it isn't a cheap set of armor and it is not 20, it is more like 50 (of one set) each. And not one set of armour but about 10 of them, And they weren't cheap, they are pretty expensive sets (sets that sell for about 20million usually). And it happens every couple of weeks lately. That would be the worst hoarding (why? why would anyone hoard 50 sets of the same armor) followed by the 7.5 billion credit loss spring sale. Once every couple of weeks. Hm, yeah, I don't think your explanation makes much sense.
  6. Buying up items expensively to create a monopoly, then selling pages of them at once cheaper than you could possibly have bought them would be the most stupid abuse of capitalism ever. And it does not explain why it is always several players at once. It doesn't happen for weeks, then, boom, many items at once. Something is seriously off about that. No, it is not a smart way to make credits. it is just about the dumbest way to ensure you earn a minimum amount of credits, not only in those sales but for weeks to come. Is it a sign of something nefarious? no idea. But it sure is not normal, sensible behaviour.
  7. Did you run it SOLO (not STORY) mode? You need to launch using the alert button, talk to Lana, then go to the terminal next to the one for Umbara and select the new SOLO mode (cannot stress this enough, as everybody is used to "solo" meaning "story mode" and there is a story mode, too, to confuse things). Just finished it, good fun, some rather tough boss fights.
  8. While I like the Zakuul story arch, it has one fatal flaw that has been plaguing SWTOR from the start. It is a single player story. Obviously, the final outcome of KotET does not work in an MMO, does not make any sense. We can't all be in the position we are in now!
  9. Sure a doctor can become a painter. Does being a doctor help though? Nope, so he would, in effect have to start from scratch. While not the same, starting a new toon with the new advance class does that, effectively. So, there you go, problem solved And, no, I am serious. RP consideration in an MMORPG?? Inconceivable!
  10. Because it would be weird in roleplaying terms. "Oh yeah, my character has been training since childhood to become a healer. But now, by pressing a button, he can convert those skills into being an invincible engine of destruction" Makes no sense. On top of that, you can change the discipline, which usually offers some focus on the three traditional roles each.
  11. great, just because you do not like something you want to spoil it for everybody. Forget making suggestions to improve it, just blow the whole thing. Here is a counter-suggestion. Why don't you just quit the game if you do not like it and let the rest of us get on with it?
  12. Now that I agree with, the whole concept of CXP and random gear from crates is not my thing either. Hence my suggestion of a less random way to gain the end-game gear you need (though anything would be better than opening hundreds of crates. I assume this is a bug anyway, since supposedly, the quality of gear from crates within a tier increased as your rank increased. Since your rank stopped increasing at 300, I would assume that the chance for better gear stayed the same, at the lowest end). But i also think that, what, 40 hours of play? 60? needed to gear up for end game from a starting point two expansions (almost two years?) ago is too quick.
  13. I said "all the way to the best gear" (i.e. command rank 300), not all the best gear. It took about 4 hours a day to get that CXP (without the boost and, yes, one run through all six bugged areas). And, as I also said, I would love to see less CXP, but more than the original levels, balanced by a more deterministic system of gaining gear from CXP. But I am still curious, what would be too much CXP?
  14. Yeah I would say so. I mean getting all the way to the best end-game gear in 10 days sounds excessively quick. And I did not even use CXP boosts til the last day. So, you could do closer to 50 in a day, or 6 days to reach tier 4. Let me ask you something. If 30 ranks in a day (at tier 3) is not too much, what is too much for you?
  15. While I enjoyed the week of crazy CXP I would still consider it exactly that, crazy CXP. The standard levels were too low, without a doubt, but getting 30 levels in one day is a bit too much. I would rather see a more balanced gain in CXP, maybe 1/3 of the current, bugged levels but the stupid random loot from command crates replaced with a more deterministic system of rewards, maybe command tokens buying you appropriate tier equipment. I have opened close to 50 command crates since hitting tier 4 and have found one single 248 item.
