  1. I dont mean by the pve part of npc's. I ment by objectives, like huttball, hypergate, civil war, yavin ruins, void star, oddesson, the pve part is mianly the capture or get objectives to win ((sure hypergate requires you to kill people to get points)) but only when you catch pylon, if dont catch pylon, 0 points in end
  2. Now, I hate to be that guy who wants to report about bad matches and bad games, but I feel like I need to get this out of my system, but people seem to forget that warzones are not 100% PVP, but more of a PVPVE, as people tend to forget that you need to follow objectives to win warzones, not get the most kills, with Bioware trying to find ways for the pvp community, it's perhaps best they make something(s) to make it more pvp, as people who dont follow obectives and just run straight into pvp have a higher chance at loosing warzones, so this solution should fix it. Like for example for flashpoints and operations, there are filters, which let people choose of which one they want to do, now why can't we have something as that for pvp menus? and make additional pvp game modes in which suited for those who just wanna dive in to pure pvp, no objectives? so why not they make a mmulti menu choice screen like this? Death match: ((aka the straight up pvp)) where it has game modes like team death match (8 v 8 for short all about kills), Free for all, like in the grand melee in bounty hunter story, 8 players fight in a free for all. Arena (non ranked) could too be placed there too as a option.and may aswell, 1v1 duels, not like the click on a player and duel, but placed in a arena fighting 1v1. Then you got your objective game modes, hypergate, odesson, civil war, huttball etc. It'# maybe just me or not, but im tired being in warzones with teams who focus 0% on the objectives by the false pvp before them, so make simpler modes for those who just want to dive in there and fight, I hope bioware make something as this in the future, as this could too help things in the pvp community for new content
  3. Wow no need to be rude about. it's as said a basic guide, it's like saying I would advise others to not follow your salty response, for t least try to keep it simple and civil
  4. Yes but however 1) thats a character in canon, not legends. SWTOR is in Legends 2) He was born somewhere in the 1000bby we're in the 3000+ bby 3) making the 'mandalorian jedi' breaks everything in mandalorian lore, both legends and canon This is mainly the default rp guide for those wishing to try mando rp
  5. Suy'cuy Gar! Or in basic, Hello and welcome to the Role playing guide to Role play as one of the most fiercest warriors of the galaxy, the mandalorians. (Note: I'm only making this guide as can't find other guides whether none were made or got out of date, so I thought of making a helpful guide to most beginners ) Note that this is a guide based on SWTOR and legends lore, canon of keeping helmets on all times will not be in this guide. Introduction A mandalorian are a nomadic group of clan-based people consisting of members from multiple species and multiple genders, all bound by a common culture. In their early years, Mandalorian culture revolved around battle, with war being a source of honor and pride in their community. The leader of the Mandalorians was known as the Mand'alor. How things are now in SWTOR Shae Vizla is at the current time Mand'alor, and is at moment allied with the alliance. But we're here to talk on a role play guide to begin your path as a mandalorian and to follow the way of the warrior. How does one become a mandalorian? There are three ways of one to become a mandalorian, either you were born into a mandalorian clan, adopted to a mandalorian clan as a child, or adopted in as an adult, as mandalorians accept and train any age, but they are not mandalorian yet but are known as Young warriors, or new bloods, the young warriors must train to know the cultures traditions, code of honor, the resol'nare, once a young warrior learns all this and has passed there Verd'goten they're considered as mandalorians and adults (even if your mandalorian passed at 10 years old, is considered a respnsible adult and my drink with his/her brothers and sisters). Mando'a Mando'a, sometimes referred to simply as Mandalorian, was the primary language spoken by the Mandalorian culture. Elements of Mando'a were taken from the language of the ancient Taungs of Coruscant, from which the culture stemmed, evolving over time to become something unique. The Resol'nare The Resol'nare, or Six Actions when translated from Mando'a into Galactic Basic Standard, were the central tenets of Mandalorian life. They consisted of wearing armor, speaking the language, defending oneself and family, raising your children as Mandalorians, contributing to the clan's welfare, and when called upon by the Mand'alor, rallying to their cause. Tradition dictated that anyone who wished to be considered Mandalorian were to abide by these guidelines and live these actions daily. Mandalorians whom did not follow the Resol'nare were considered to be dar'manda, someone who was ignorant of their Mandalorian heritage and bereft of their Mandalorian soul. The status of dar'manda was widely feared within Mandalorian society due to the belief it meant they were soulless and had no place in the Manda, the Mandalorian afterlife. Your Mandalorian To start things off, we'll need to know more about your mandalorian, and of what Clan he/she serves. But however based upon story and role play rules of not being tied to any key character or group in SWTOR, we can not be apart of any existing clans, so example we can not be apart of clan Fett, Vizla, Ordo, Lok, Kelborn or any exsisting clans due to risk of mixing in with the main game story, so it's advised you make your own clan, whether that character would be apart of it, or is leading it as it's Alor. If your Mandalorian is also to be a hunter/mercenary, then he or she is allowed to hunt bounties, as this is considered acceptable as hunting and seeking a challange, but the mandalorian must remain bound to there code of honor, and credits they receive must contribute to the clans welfare or for your survival. Equipment and Armour For ones equipment, mandalorians are well known to be armed and equipped with various of tech, and weapons from vibro knives, vibroblades, staffs, and blasters, and even too jetpacks. Also they wear all times their armour, as a mandalorians armour is like their second skin, they keep it on all times, only exceptions to remove ones armour is when resting in your own room, home or starship, in your clan barracks or recovering in medical bay. The armour is also important as based by it's design, some would like to keep things basic and simple, some like to creative, but in recommendation, armour pieces as Dune stalker jacket and sith cultist lower robes arn't acceptable, as mandos wont wear jackets or skirts. but however when role playing you can not wear commander vizla's arour set, as only mand'alor wears it, the armour maybe acceptable if using a different helmet, anything mandalorian design. For the Armour, the common known material to make mandalorian armour is beskar, but due to how rare it is to acquire it, it's not possible to start with full beskar, but it's neither impossible, as a piece of beskar can be rewarded and earn't if a mandalorian achieves a great goal and is rewarded by their Alor. for now a common material most mandalorians use is Durasteel. (Note: Only mandalorians know on how to smelt and forge beskar, no outsider can know or learn how to, even if tried chances are they'll ruin the beskar making it useless, mandalorians can not share or teach a outsider on how to forge beskar). Acceptable races By mandalorian culture, mandalorians accept any race to their culture, but however we'll need to think outside the box, as while that is a option to all races, there are some who will not take this option based upon their own culture, religion or reason, the races that can't/wont be mandalorian and why. -Cathar: As over three hundred years ago during the events of the mandalorian wars, the mandalorians attacked the Cathar home world of Cathar, killing every Cathar on the planet, nearly placing the people to extinction. The Cather to this day hate the mandalorians based upon the history, and there rivalry still grows. -Sith Pureblood: While there can be some born non force sensitive, a Sith pureblood is still bound and loyal to the Empire. Of course there are some who've managed to flee the Empire, but those purebloods are most likely to be either hunted down to serve the Empire or to be killed. -Miraluka: As the Miraluka are a race of force sensitives, they only follow the way of the force, to be either Jedi or Sith. Can Mandalorians marry non-Mandalorians? Yes. As a mandalorian may seek love to someone who is not bound by mandalorian culture, but however the married partner does not become mandalorian just because they're married, nor can they wear mandalorian armour, but are allowed to learn the language and must accept the Resol'nare. Can you be a force sensitive Mandalorian? No. The mandalorians see the force as a weakness not a strength, as knowing it is a other beings power, not ones true strength, and even if allowed, mandalorian have zero logic on how to train a force user. In most sense, if a Mandalorian or young warrior were to be adopted or born force sensitive, the mandalorian or young warrior would be exiled, but are not to be titled Dar'manda, but more just as a outsider. (Note: Yes, their were the mandalorian knights in the mandalorian wars. But they were Jedi who defected. And the Mandalorians only seen them as Jedi wearing armour, not true mandalorians). Alignment Due to Bioware's mistake upon separating the story due the chain events of KOTFE/KOTET and war on Iokath and who the alliance commander is, most struggle to say what is the canon as it's at this point the game has lost it's canon due to four different paths. But as Mand'alor is with the alliance, the recommended and safest and logical option (based on timeline and lore) Is to have the mandalorians remain neutral, or helping the Sith Empire, as by lore logic and timeline there's no logic on to why the mandalorians would side with the republic at this current time line. Of course Mand'alor is the main leader, but it's more the case scenario for mando role players to not miss out. Final note Mandalorian role play is just as serious as Jedi and Sith role play, we do not linger in Cantina's making claims or boasting of hunts and achievements, as we're warriors of honor seeking honor and glory and a worthy challange, not drink the most largest ale without getting drink. So get out there, seek out a worthy challange, and bring honor and glory to your name and Clan. Hope this guide has shared some help for Mandalorian roleplay Good hunting, and Ret'urcye mhi.
  6. Well actually not quite, they only helped the Jedi exile, not the republic, as the mandalorians were stilltrying to hide there numbers, as when the battle on the ravager began Mandalore (canderous Ordo) said and quoted "Do the republic forces suspect"? in which he is trying to hide his mandalorians from the republic still, cause during that time if the republic did find out, they may try stop the mandalorians again worrying they're trying to remake another war
  7. You can never stop our battle cry"! Oya Oya Oya Oya Beskar Beskar Beskar!!! xD
  8. Personaly in mine I chose to re join with the empire on my imp and rep back to rep, as the whole alliance got boring now. It should've ended back in KOTET
  9. Indeed, fact if they somehow do this, it would be a good expansion title: Star Wars The Old Republic: Conquest And Glory
  10. And also it would be kinda retconing the Bounty hunter class if going all mandaloiran if this idea does not work out xD
  11. Personally through Onslaught, there has been some improvements based upon the options made. But however I still don't approve on some cases, some of in relate to the mandalorians, as they're still kept on shelf as player choice, not faction choice. For starters Onderon, I feel annoyed as that Republic side get the quest of hunting down rogue mandalorians by the request of mandalore, while I felt that mission should be put on for Empire, for if we recall, one class can be a mandalorian and it would feel more fitting. And with now the choices of resuming as alliance commander or returning to your faction. I see one flaw in which involves the mandalorians. The Republic in default should/cant accept them, based upon by these reasons. 1) History/actions: As we recall the actions the mandalorians have done to oppose on the republic based on their war like culture. The Great sith war, when the Mandalorians allianced with Exar Kun. The Mandalorian wars, when the mandalorians began there crusade and conquest on many worlds and are at war with the republic. The mandalorian blockade, when the mandalorians made the alliance with the Empire, there blockade placed a tight hold on the republic when Hylo Viz stopped them. The Sacking of coruscant, When the mandalorians aided the Sith Empires attack on Coruscant. Now why would the Republic would want people based on those actions to join them? It be against of what the republic believes in. 2) The current Manda'lor: While i'm not saying Shae vizla should join the Empire, there is a reason of why she may not want to side with the republic either, based by her actions and crimes, mostly the events on alderaan, and too the sacking of coruscant, personally I can see the republic would do anything to arrest her. 3) Nothing in common: As the republic and the Jedi try to keep the peace, mandalorians do not, as they fight for honor and glory and conquest (or if needed I suppose wealth). For even 'if' the mandalorians somehow choose to side with the republic, they would be enforced peace laws, in which would violate there culture and teachings, in which would too destroy mandalorian culture. 4) Timeline: Even SWTOR is non canon, is still does not mean history has to be altered, as through history the mandalorians have never made any alliances with the republic, altering this could make alot of confusion/history change in the swtor story, like a non canon non canon. And I do apologise to Bioware if read this, but this all became a giant mess when doing KOTFE, now I know you're trying to get it back to the old ways of republic versus empire, but please try and get it properly back, as it would be out of Lore and history and logic for the republic and mandalorians to work together. Personally I would love in future a possible expansion in relate to the mandalorians, maybe show there home worlds? like Mandalore and concord dawn, or the moon Concordia, whether it be something in relate to a weekly planet story mission, or part of a next expansion. I would love to see something to show more of mandalorian content. Nostly either it being mandalorians are re arming themselves and perhaps starting another conquest or war, while the republic tries to stop them, and if want to get back to old ways, perhaps the Empire trying to offer the mandalorians the re alliance of the mandalorian sith alliance, as the sith and mandalorians have least two things in common, Conquest, and glory. I do hope they make a new expansion with a bit more mandalorian theme and excitement as how the mandalorians series is making excitement.
  12. I think we can all agree that Bioware have not kept to there full promise of returning things back to Republic versus Empire. But it's not because the Alliance is still there, in which it should've disbanded at the end of KOTET, as keeping the Alliance around ruins both Story and Lore based upon the choices and decisions you made on your Class. For I'm tired of being called 'Commander' as I want things back the way with my Characters (which I guess you all too feel same) As for my Smuggler I just want him to be Captain again, not Commander. And same for my Hunter, either called Hunter, Champion or Mandalorian (if took mandalorian route in Bounty hunter story), as being called Commander all time Bioware's mistake was they've made our characters peaked, there's nothing more to gain higher, and saying goes 'Once peaked you go all way down'. As being called 'Commander' and making your guy like if he/she's king/queen of the galaxy has made you peaked, there's nothing more to gain. As this next bit maybe off topic, But you can tell I'm a mandalorian fan, and follow story and lore, even if you choose to side with republic, it make zero sense Lore wise for the mandalorians to side with the republic (as on my old forum made reasons to why) so I'm hoping the mandalorians would either be neutral, or reforge the mandalorian - sith alliance (as bringing things back to where they were). So after this next Spoils of war expansion, I do hope Bioware see and read this, as to know the Alliance must come to a end. As I would love a expansion to be called 'Odessen civil war' where one half of the faction (either rep or imp loyalist) had enough and a huge war breaks out on each side of the alliance, forcing it to break apart. But what I want to add is a feature to bring consequences for those who thought it was a good idea to play as a saboteur, as personally was a stupid idea for a option. While under attack you contact either the republic agent or 2v-r8, in the none saboteur route they would bring some help to keep things under control. for the saboteur they don't help you, as saying it would cause a problem, which makes you realise being a saboteur was a poor move, and a lesson of 'Dont be a jerk to your own faction'. At end the Alliance is ruined, but later (depend on what faction) your main faction arrives to help. But for the saboteur route, the faction learns that there has been a saboteur in the Alliance, which leads you to two choices, either you admit you're the saboteur, or pin it on someone else. But either option Lana Beniko steps forward to confess that she's the saboteur, which she's trying to defend you, which would either get her arrested or killed, again this is more of a lesson of those who chose the saboteur route. In aftermath, with the Alliance gone, you're returned back to the life you once had for your classes ((except for sith warrior to be emperors wrath, may instead be given a Darth title and a place since Malgus has that role now)). Which would give the best option to re focus on your style of class, and to focus fully on republic versus empire, which of course would lead your character to no longer be a saboteur. I hope this would get notice and spread across and spreads across, and hoping what you all would think on this idea, and would you agree that this maybe the best option.
  13. When I start playing KOTET Chapter 9 the eternal throne, at the start of your character walking in seeing fire and bodies on the floor walking to the eternal throne. but problem is some the NPC's that are ment to be lying down are instead standing up still. I dont know if it's the chapter glitched or something with my settings.
  14. Indeed, in which sometimes I wonder if Bioware just rolls with things and not think through them xD, but for the bounty hunter if choose to betray and sabotage the mandos if become a mando would kinda make the bounty hunter a Dar'manda
  15. Exactly For through Iokath, to end of Nathema conspiracy and now Ossus, I was thinking "...why is that even a option"? xD
  16. Well, personally I found that option to be pointless and dull :/ But, if comes to it, I suppose like a saboteur you try someway to get the republic it's resources, and try to make the mandalorian - sith alliance a bit unstable. As for the sabotaging to the republic, I say mainly you try give the rescources to the mandalorians and the empire
  17. Now, after playing Ossus, it did somewhat bring the Joy back to SWTOR, as how things are now back to Republic versus the Empire, although personally i hope in the upcoming story the whole alliance thing disbands as each members go to their original faction (which sadly is the same for the companions). But however there is one faction I have been keep wanting to see more of, which are the Mandalorians. At this point they still remain a neutral point, and no information has been shared upon their progress, but we do know that they're re-arming themselves, and trying to reclaim their home worlds. So this has given me an idea, if Bioware possibly see this, I believe it to have great story potential, and other features it may involve. The story goes that the Mandalorians are still trying to regain their home worlds, as they would just reach to there main home world of Mandalore, but however the Mandalorians notice something wrong, as they would notice Republic involvement on Mandalore, as they learnt the republic are occupying mandalore, mainly harvesting and acquiring most of there resources to aid the war against the Empire. Manda'lor the Avenger (Shae Vizla) and the other clans are not pleased by this, so try to fight to reclaim there home from the Republic, unfortunatly, battle is not helping the Mandalorians, that is when the Sith Empire over hear of the events on Mandalore, thus see a opportunity, as they see more then just potential resources, but potential allies, as the Sith Empire strike a deal with the Mandalorians to help reclaim there home world, but in return the mandalorians must reforge the Mandalorian - Sith alliance, and allow Imperial ships to pass through Mandalorian space, in which the Mandalorians agreed as they would try to regain there home world back from the Republic. How story go: Republic: As the alliance commander would be informed by Shae Vizla of the Republic's involvement on Manda'lor, and that she doesn't agree on siding with the Republic, which unfortunately, the mandalorians would leave your alliance, this result too would make you loose Torian, as he is loyal to Manda'lor (this if choose to save him on KOTET) and you have to help aid the republic gather as much resources as they can. Empire: Same as before, except you tell Shae Vizla that you would help push the republic off Mandalore, with aswell too aid from the Empire to help rebuild the Mandalorian - Sith alliance, as you're focused to claim the rescources back, and too push the republic off the planet Mandalore. Features: Personal I would like some Dailies, weekly, Heroics, but instead getting new gear, as for Now I say the new item rate gear be enough, as each would give you reputation points. and the rewards either be new decorations, or new Mandalorian Armour in reputation vendors (for republic maybe a new infantry Armour) Also would be nice to have either a Flashpoint or Operations which could involve the Moon of Mandalore, Concordia. Companions: As before in Ossus as you have a new companion for the story, I would like to see them add more potential companions, As republic get a veteran trooper, and the Empire a Veteran Mandalorian, of course I wont mind seeing the other companions from Ossus to appear. I hope this idea gets spread enough to make this a actual story Also if many you ask "Why make the Mandalorians side with Empire, why not republic? Reasons of: [*]The Mandalorians follow conflict and war to improve themselves, as they're not much ones for peace, as they follow their traditions of their code of honor. [*]Even "IF" they choose to side the Republic, if the they win, the Republic would enforce their peace laws on to the Mandalorians, which would force them to follow a new way of peace, which will Violate and ruin there honor and traditions as being a Mandalorian. [*]Siding with the Empire would be logical, as too share a common enemy based on their history, and mandalorians do enjoy the challenge of opposing the Republic, and the Jedi [*]Lastly, Shae Vizla is indeed a Mandalorian legend...but she is probably a criminal to the Republic due to her pasts acts, one of which the sacking of coruscant, and the republic would refuse to have the Mandalorians as their Allies Hope you think this idea is worthy spreading to make as the next potential story. (Lastly, just for the fans out there....don't suppose it yet still maybe be possible to least have one Flirt with Shae Vizla? if not, well worth trying xD)
  18. Through the events in SWTOR I'm happy to hear they're bringing things back to the old ways of Republic vs Empire, as getting back to how SWTOR should've been, as of in my opinion the Whole Outlander and alliance thing should've ended at the end of KOTET for the Outlander instead destroys the eternal throne and the alliance is divided back to republic and empire, and Zakuul as a neutral faction. But anyways I do hope they have more road maps and stories after this new one on SWTOR, but what I would love to see more is for the Mandalorians, as I am a huge mandalorian fan, for what I would like to see for the mandalorians, is to try and go back to their old ways, which I was thinking the mandalorians lead by there new mandalore Shae Vizla, is trying to regain some territory to help rebuild the clans strength, the problem is the world is already occupied by a other society of races/people, so in which the republic and empires war still goes on, but this how I hope would go. That republic side, are helping the people of that home world to push back the mandalorians, whilst the empire, can see the potential to reunite the sith and mandalorian alliance back to the old days, as I highly see it as unlikely for the mandalorians to side with the republic, as the mandalorians and the republic/jedi do share a history against one another, thus make it more logical to reforge the sith and mandalorian alliance, I do hope they bring this back to the future of SWTOR story.
  19. Hello there! I have made this post to share upon our republic guild, The Galactic Coalition. What is our guild you may ask, well if not played yet of star wars knights of the fallen empire or eternal throne, little spoilers will be shown up ahead but nothing to spoil the major points. In the story arc, the alliance commander united a alliance with people who are part of the republic and empire, even those who are not with the two factions, as jedi, sith, soldiers, outlaws, and all of those who wish to serve you allaince to oppose the eternal empire. in end, you have defeated the eternal empire, and forge yourself a new order, a neutral faction thats not with the republic or empire (depending upon which end you take) and forge The eternal alliance. Now our guild is not the eternal alliance, for it's more of an inspiration of them, as this guild welcomes all including rp players who dont most likely rp as a jedi or republic based trooper, but perhaps as a sith or imperial officer, but yet dont serve the empire upon there own reasons, so say you're much of a imperial rp player but not much pushed on being rping as a jedi or trooper, then this guild will fit in for you. what is the coalitions goal? well the coalition's goal same as the eternal alliance to stop threats and wars between the empire and the republic, and all others that wish to endanger or harm the galaxy, now as they're a neutral faction they do not oppose the republic or empire, but will aid if they have any dangers that do not involve them conflicting each other, unless its something to greatly serious. The galactic coalition has 5 certain division's depending upon your character or what he/she fits in, those are: 1:The light side division, the division are force users who focus upon the Light side of the force, perfect for jedi or those who are more into the light. 2:The Dark side division, the divison is more focused upon using the dark side of the force, perfect for sith, dark jedi or those who focus upon more to the dark. 3:The Grey division: this division is based upon those who focus more on both the light and the dark, for those to keep in balanced, perfect for grey jedi, grey sith, or force users who are not to aimed for the light or dark 4: the military division, the division for all our soldiers and those upon military based, perfect for all those in military approach 5: the outlaws division, this division is for our, smugglers, bounty hunters, mercenaries all those low in the galaxies under belly, as well as gaining information for agents who too work for the division. We as well have two side division's 1: security division, for those who are honor guards, or work as security officers or temple guards or knights of zakuul, this will be good for you to keep eye out if anyone in base were to be acting out of line. 2: Medical division, for this is for our medic's and healer's who wish to tend aid to the injured or wounded, wether it's involve force healing or medical skills with first aid. The galactic coalition have settled and built there base upon the planet of zakuul, far past the endless swamps they found a old temple (base is yavin stronghold) as then the coalition work and built there base of operations upon the planet. Wish to join and aid its course? well to join us make sure to keep eye's out for any of the council or council advisors online to join, those advisors are: Slerdnibe/Arthas'stormers/arthas stormers Rhys Tenebae Ridianaa/Ryrría Losha/miriana Illidare Galeehn whisper to any of these people, and they will ask you two questions, two simple basic questions, once upon then they'll add you in, and we would ask to then to apply to our website which is http://galacticcoalition.shivtr.com/ from there we'll ask you to put up a profile upon your character and his/ her backstory, as long as it keeps to lore, and nothing that seems for ones character to be too perfect or overpowered, people like to casually rp with casual rp'ers. once everything is done, a council member or advisor will intro your character bringing him/ her to the order. That is all you need to know of our guild, if wish to join as from above whisper to any of these players, thank you for your time reading the post, and we do hope you wish to help and support this guild's cause
  20. Why the hell?! first merc arsenals and now sorcs and sages now?! seriously devs they don't need nerfing, heck if any class needs nerfing down its the operatives and scoundrals, seriously
  21. i logged in to swtor and when loaded i can't see any server's on the screen, if anyone can tell me the problem or that the game is having a server error, that'll be great thank you
