  1. What is it with the MMO community and equating tedium with challenge? Scavenger hunts that revolve around luck are TEDIOUS. Scavenger hunts that revolve around say riddles to find locations are challenging. Enemies that are damage sponges are TEDIOUS. Enemies that use a rotation of abilities that must be countered in order to win are challenging. Maybe if so much of the community wasn't readily lapping up tedium at every opportunity maybe it would actually force the devs to provide us with some challenge.
  2. So basically you're the ideal person for preferred status. You don't give a **** about anything that would run up your tab. I, and most others, do care about those things which is why 10 - 15 dollars doesn't get me squat and why there has been an insane amount of complaining about the f2p and more importantly preferred status models. I would need to get the account wide versions of all those unlocks since I have multiple characters. I do actually care about getting all my quest rewards instead of getting screwed out of half of them. I do care about flash points, and space missions even if i can't be bothered with PVP. So yeah, if you only use ONE character, don't mind leveling at a slower rate, not getting half your quest rewards, getting mounts later (which in this game where you're FORCED to travel to every quest giver before and after each and every quest and every world is *********** gigantic is a monumental pain in the *** IMO) and experiencing half the content, then sure why would you sub?
  3. If you think all it costs to bypass all the f2p restrictions is 10 - 15 dollars you must have never seen a math textbook in your life. I spent 10 dollars on cartel coins and tried to play this game as a preferred played for about a week. I quickly learned that it was far, FAR cheaper to just sub than to bother trying to purchase even a 1/4 of the unlocks. The f2p model is *********** ATROCIOUS. It's seems as if their goal wasn't to have two different communities playing the game through different avenues, but simply beat non-subscribers about the head and face with ridiculous restrictions until they submit and just sub. Against my better judgement, it worked. I'm not happy about it (which doesn't do Bioware any favors as far as keeping me around for long time) but I'm begrudgingly paying my sub until I finish getting my 8 toons to 50.
  4. And you think any one of those things would be good for the game? You think any one of those things are fun? You think any one of those things makes for "hardcore" gameplay? Cause they don't. You know what all that crap adds? TEDIUM. People need to understand that tedium never has and NEVER WILL be "hardcore". Your points about enemy AI are spot on, but all that other garbage is just that, garbage.
  5. Did the mod team that was working on releasing all the unfinished content from KOTOR II ever get around to doing it? I know partial builds were released, don't think a complete restoration was ever finished.
  6. Yeah, because the average f2p has a bunch of friends and family just itching to give away all the unlocks. For the average player this means squat.
  7. I'm not saying the unlocks aren't good, I'm saying what are you going to trade that person for the unlock? The good items that would make the trade worth the other person's while drop in flashpoints and ops you can't access with any regularity.
  8. Them being tradeable is also irrelevant since f2p/preferred accounts can't access flash points/ops often enough to get the drops that would be worth trading for unlocks any way.
  9. Duh? I was speaking directly to you precisely because you're joking. And another thing, because I disagree with your assessment that makes me a troll? Bioware made changes before f2p went live due to player feedback. They just made a change to the number of quickbars available to preferred accounts due to player feedback. It's proof player feedback works so I will continue to give it to them every which way I can. Whether thats in the suggestion box, general, twitter, or facebook. You clowns need to stop projecting all this nonsense onto other people.
  10. It will be soon enough. That what I can't understand. How do you guys not grasp that if they didn't NEED us more than you right now they wouldn't have opened up the game to us in the first place? Game won't survive on subs alone, when we leave the game dies.
