Well maybe then I'm the only one that liked the idea of having separate last names for all your characters separate from your legacy name. It seemed like a better way to implement it to me.

You would still have a unique legacy name that you could attribute to all your alts. For instance, instead of "Han Skywalker, the Skywalker Legacy" you could have "Han Solo, the Skywalker Legacy." And besides, like Buur said, you can just turn it off anyway as the system is now if you're looking to hide.

Is anyone else disappointed all your characters on a server have to share a last name due to the Legacy System? I've heard all the reasoning behind it but I'm still left disappointed. I like the idea of the Legacy System but I don't understand why we can't have a Legacy name and separate last names for all our characters? Then if you want to name your characters the same last name as your Legacy name you could still have the option to do so. The "Skywalker Legacy" they cite in discussions as inspiration for the system didn't involve all people with the last name of Skywalker. It wasn't Han Skywalker, Lando Skywalker, Chewbacca Skywalker. Even Leia was originally Leia Organa. Everybody had their own last names. I'm not sure what other people think, but I'd prefer having a unique legacy name per server and then having non-unique last names for characters. So if you wanted to make some of your characters be part of the same "family" you could do so. But they could also have different last names if you wanted. But you wouldn't be forced to find a "one name fits all" last name. And this would allow your friends/family/spouses to take the same last name as some of your characters as well while preserving the uniqueness of your legacy to your own account. What are everyone else's thoughts? Do you like the system as it is or would you prefer they change it?

You should mention in your FAQ you don't gain any value from leveling alts until the Legacy system is unlocked. So any alts you level before unlocking your Legacy is basically wasted in terms of the Legacy system. I just found this out today and I'm a little sore about it.

Damn. That was the answer I was hoping not to hear. But thanks for clearing that up, guys. I wish they would have made that clearer from the get go. Now I feel like I've wasted time/progress with those alts. I guess it's time to settle on one and carry through with them. They should have just made it so you get a certain amount of points based on the level of your other characters. (i.e. 1000 pts for lvl 10, 5000 pts for lvl 50, etc.) Or just let these points accrue in the background until the system is revealed. Alas... sigh.

I have a question about how you level or gain points/xp for the legacy system. I haven't unlocked it yet and I'm wondering how best to proceed. I know you get points/xp in the system for leveling alts. Do these points/xp only accrue once the legacy system has been unlocked? To clarify, I already have a few alts made that I've levelled to 12 - 14. Once I do unlock the legacy system am I not going to get any value from the progress I've already made on these characters since the legacy system wasn't unlocked at the time? Is it better to get one character to unlock the legacy system before playing any alts? Thanks to anyone who can clarify.

I'm glad I saw this thread. I just assumed you would be able to romance Jaesa as light side. I had previously been considering whether or not to even start down the romance path with Vette. I was anticipating having to choose between the two in another romance triangle like with Liara and Ashley in Mass Effect. I wasn't sure what the fallout would be for choosing one over the other. Would the other get mad and leave? I had a hard enough time deciding in Mass Effect. Neither of them really fit the bill for me. Liara seemed like a better person but was kind of boring. Ashley was a little more sexy but kind of a racist and a *****. I eventually went with Liara. I was figuring on having to make the same choice with my LS Sith Warrior. I wasn't sure who I was going to have my character go with. I figured I'd get a better feel for them as characters going on and make the choice based on how their personalities played out. So I'm feeling a little disappointed I'm not even getting a choice between the two if I take Jaesa light side. What if I end up liking Jaesa better? I guess you're still stuck with Vette. And dark side Jaesa doesn't sound like a real winner from what people have mentioned in the thread. Like some of the others, I'm considering shelving my warrior for now in case they go back and decide to make light side Jaesa a romance possibility. It's too bad because I've really been enjoying my Sith Warrior.

I was wondering how many characters people would be allowed per server. Seems a little crazy not to have any limit. Are they really prepared to store a potentially unlimited number of player characters? O-kaay...
