Well I just got my 5th tier-1 head piece (bonus-set) in a row, I also just cancelled my sub. This RNG sht is for the birds, I've tried my best to enjoy it but its not possible for me. The good news is I got 6 bonus-set pieces in about 65 crates, the bad news is 5 of them were the same piece. More time for warframe, its grindy as hell but at least its fun.
-
Wow, pathetic. Can you imagine the component cost for the tier 248 and 252 gear that's coming in the 5.2 patch.
-
Does the hk mission have to be active to get the part? Or can you run the fp on another toon and mail the part to the toon with the active mission?
-
This is just more evidence of how screwed-up the rng is on these crates. Is this what the devs had planned when they came up with this system. I mean I disintegrate 95% of what I get in these crates, and for what. Just to be able to get another crate and do the same thing again. It took them less than a week to nerf the golds from 10 to 1 cxp but its going to take them months to adjust this mess. I really wish they would explain why its taking so long and what more feedback and numbers that they need.

Thanks for the replies. First time tanking and i'm getting close to level 70. I asked because I noticed two types of tanking adrenals; a blue one that "absorbs 20% of damage up to a large amount for 15 seconds" and a purple one that "increases shield and absorb by 750 for 20 seconds". I only use adrenals for ops so that would be the case here too. I assume the blue adrenal would be better, I assume its 20% damage reduction of all types of damage but I don't know what the large amount is. Any experience with these, sorry i didn't make my question more clear. Thanks

What is the best adrenal to use for a shadow tank?

Anyone notice a cxp nerf post 5.1 patch in gsf? A couple of threads in the pvp section are saying that their getting less cxp for regs and ranked pvp wzs/areans with max medals then they were pre-5.1 patch.
-
Apparently ranked and reg wzs were also nerfed going by a couple of more threads that popped up in the pvp forum. I wouldn't put it past bioware to apply a 10% cxp nerf to everything that way when we our legacy cxp perks we're back to pre 5.1 levels.
-
Why nerf arena cxp http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=911930 ? I play pvp on occasion and I thought the wz/arena you get was random. So what is the purpose of nerfing it? Maybe I'm missing something and there is a way to reliably get arenas.
-
Thank you. I assumed it did but with bioware you never know.
-
Bump since no one seems to know.

Title. I know they said that the GC xp boost that you can buy with command tokens won't stack with the CM GC xp boost pack but I wanted to make sure that the CM GC boost will stack with the legacy perks.

Ok, I think you may be misunderstanding. Since you said you only do solo i'm going to only focus on those things. Once your character hits level 70, you start to level something call galactic command GC (this starts at level 1 and goes to level 300). Finishing story missions, doing heroics, and solo flashpoints will earn you experience points towards GC. GC has three tiers: tier 1 (level 1-90), tier 2 (level 91-179), and tier 3 (level 180-300), I may be off a little on these numbers. You get 1 crate for each level and each crate will contain gear dependent on the tier and a possible schematic, also depended on the tier. For example you reach GC level 2 (tier 1), you will get 1 piece of gear 228 or 230 with chance for bonus set and the chance to get a schematic for 230 gear. Another example: you reach level 181 (tier 3) you get a crate that will have 1 piece of gear 240 or 242 with the chance of a bonus set and you could also get a schematic for 242 gear. So doing only solo stuff the highest gear you could get is 242 with bonus set if you are willing to grind enough. Doing group content will give a lot more GC experience but the solo content will also give some GC xp.

Does the eternal championship drop the new refined isotope stabilizer or does it still drop the old EIS?
-
Do story mode fps drop refined isotopes or is it only tac and HM? Or do all three drop and the difficulty determines the chance of a drop?

The alliance buffs you can get by clicking a terminal at the beginning of the mission after you drop down from the vent shaft. I don't exactly remember what each does but there are four buffs that reduce damage received, reduces accuracy of skytroopers, ect. The clickables are four alliance items that you can find throughout the SF map. They appear on you temp quick bar where you heroic moment icon appears. As you collect an item you get a new icon, one is a sentry turrent (very helpful), one heals you, one is a grenade that stuns skytroopers, and one produces a repeating force shockwave. Those are rough descriptions, I don't remember exactly. They have cooldowns but can be very useful with the final exach fight.

With regard to the companion question; buy the rank 5 gifts on fleet (10,000) do not but rank 6 (250,000). Its the fastest to go from 35 to 50. Will cost you around 2-3 million.
-
Based on the post-5.0 boost ops mobs have gotten I think your gear is fine. Make sure you use the alliance terminal at the start to get the buffs and also collect all of the clickables through out the map. There are four total and they can help a lot in the exarch fight.
-
So with the star fortress there is a solo mode and a heroic mode. I haven't run a SF since the 5.0 update but I think this advice is still valid. With the solo mode, what you have you should be fine. With the heroic mode it may be much more difficult depending on how well you know your rotation and use you defensive CDs. Also, you can get alliance buffs by getting each of the four alliance members up to rank 10. This does help some, plus having you comp at rank 50. With heroic mode you do have to pay attention to the mechanics and use your interrupts when applicable.
Edit: Ignore what I said about solo mode, I see that you've ran it. Also, I assume that you are level 70.

If you can stand it, space combat missions were how I leveled my toons from 65-70. I would get anywhere from 200,000 - 300,000 xp for doing each 4-7 min mission. Granted that includes doing most of the mission bounses with an xp boost and the legacy boost but most missions averaged 5 min. Most missions required grade 3 or 5 ship parts but even the grade 1 missions would give close to that amount of xp.
-
That's so sad. They're willing to break parts of the game just to improve their numbers on the new content. I can understand nerfing the champs to prevent farming but why didn't they boost the cxp drops from the op bosses. It makes no sense.
-
Either the devs are incompetent and its a bug or they "accidentally" left it out of the patch notes. As if nobody would figure it out. I've not done the kp farming but I do like running ops. The problem is that ops would give such small cxp before that the champ mobs you killed along the way would have a big impact on the total cxp you would get from the op. Now they've reduced that but not increased the cxp from the op like they did with uprisings and fps.
-
If you use a cxp booster the timer will continue to run while logged off. CS simply said that they are aware of the problem. Of course there is no announcement and I'm sure these are still being sold.
leaderboards, how pathetic are these devs that they can't maintain a website
